Was just wondering why none of you seem to be using data cards
(dongles) such as those offered by Tata Indicom, Reliance (and I
suppose even BSNL), etc, for wireless broadband access. I have a Tata
Indicom Photon+ and it has worked brilliantly in Goa too, although I
have never used it in Saligao. The charges have come down drastically
and are only marginally more than what is available via land lines
(such as MTNL's Triband in Bombay).
like i ahve said before, Relience, tata and BSNL evdo all do not work in
abreovaddo, salmona, many parts of donvaddo, and dmellovaddo etc... in
short 3/4 of saligao which falls int he shadow of the hill does not get
range at home.
if i walk outside my house with he laptop to the main road - i get 2
bars - but NOT inside the house where i want it
