Hey Rico,

Let us not get into the "elite" crap. I probably eat and relish more street
/ junk food than you do.

Might be an interesting journalistic rhetoric , but most people with their
heads in the right place can see through this pseudo philanthropy - which is
nothing but selling land illegally. Which in the first place is not
even salable !

How come "development" in Salilgao only means changing land usage. Can you
please list out "NON LAND BASED" developments done in our village by any
panchayat ? I have personally handed out a list of activities to the MLA an
panchayats that could take up activities NOT connected with change in land
usage / usurping / selling land, but of course what is in it for "them" ?

What about the safety aspects with the gaddos coming onto main roads ? have
you noticed the traffic jams that are created due to vehicles parked in
front of the gaddos ?

How come the panchayat is sitting on the market redevelopment plans made
years ago ? One can locate dozens of such stalls without jeopardizing
traffic and disfiguring the landscape of Saligao. But - what is in it for
"them" ?

What about the garbage that these gaddos will generate ?

Isn't the pile of rubble and growing row of tin sheds in front of your house
a clear evidence of cancer that is growing ?

Could we use the Saligao net for more than just "nice sounding words and
articles" ?

More vigilance, accountability , governance monitoring, calling - "spade a
spade", making Saligao a better place for people to live in , children to
grow up. More action and result oriented ?

Rico , your involvement on the ground would complement the power on the net
and help make a difference.

Sanjeev
