Merwyn, Gregory is the nephew of the late Aunty Peggy (Mascarenhas), your neighbour! He was my classmate in Lourdes Convent and Britto's too. Class of 1979. Greg's dad (Uncle Felix) ran perhaps Saligao's first yellow-and-black taxi service post 1961. I still recall what a high we all got on seeing it portrayed in one of the locally-shot films, then screened at the Saligao church.
The accident is quite terrible news. Both from the family point of view, and also for our village. It reflects on the state of safety (or lack of it) on our roads. Miss Shirley, our retired LCHS science teacher, told me some details of the accident this afternoon. We need to take up such issues or pay the price of neglect. Greg, please keep us informed. Here's wishing all the best for Connie and her family.
