Just today I was attending the funeral rites of Susan the beloved wife of
our Tony Pinto. It was a touching farewell. What hurt me most was the third
class sound system our church has got. I was sitting by the side of a
multistoried fan which did not work and made my life miserable and the
beautiful things Hilda was speaking could not be heard at all. Can't we
saligaonkars do something about it ? Someone blamed the government for not
providing the proper electricity to the church, others blamed others for not
looking after the sound system. Saligao is a rich village. We have rich
people but we do not have people who can say simple things and that is 2 +2
= 4. We had the maintaince fund which our wise fools have merged with the
fabrica fund. Now we cannot do anything about it. The sound sytem is
connected to the inverters. Now if someone wants advice we should do the
following:- Church should get a generator which will light the entire
church. Someone should be given the responsibility to maintain the
generator. We need new electrification for the church or someone should
check whether the fans are working or not. Until all these is done please do
not praise yourself that we are saligaonkars.The second wise thing is to
start another maintainance fund but we have to wait for the next centenary
year. whether all of us will live to that day or not I will not say
anything. Please do not say that you like my writing. Please write something
