We're a Sametime shop as well. If SA could work with Sametime that would be great, but I went out and bought a connector that allows me to send Sametime IM from a standard Notes database.

What I do is tell SA to send me the alerts via SMTP to a mailin database in Lotus Notes, then I use this connector to send me the IM. I have it set that if I am logged off of Sametime, or if I'm in do not disturb in Sametime, it will send me an e-mail instead.

If I was a Java programmer, I probably could have written the code myself, but I'm not so I opted to buy the connector. Wasn't too expensive:

Eventually (if I can ever make the time), I want this mailin database to be setup so anyone in IT can go to it, and check off which hosts they care to be notified about, and when SA registers a status change this database will either send and IM or an e-mail whichever is appropriate.

[SA-list] Another feature request

I need to be able to send IM's to Sametime clients.  That's our corporate
IM standard, even though I can use AIM, ICQ, etc, I really have to use ST
to keep the security and network folks happy.

Has there been any thought to adding that to the notifications?

Thanks,
Greg
