The big things with this is that we can't add everything within the product.
We have several IM integrations, being the "large" ones. You can always use a commandline sender and use that via the COMMAND TO EXECUTE (or even via the OTHER MAIL option) Dirk. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Greg A Weigold Sent: Saturday, January 07, 2006 12:52 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [SA-list] Another feature request Interesting, I'll have to look at that. I found some ST bots out there and one thing that would allow a command line interface directly into ST, but I thought that something built into SA might be a better way to go.. Hmmm.... If SA could work with Sametime that would be great, but I went out and bought a connector that allows me to send Sametime IM from a standard Notes database. What I do is tell SA to send me the alerts via SMTP to a mailin database in Lotus Notes, then I use this connector to send me the IM. I have it set that if I am logged off of Sametime, or if I'm in do not disturb in Sametime, it will send me an e-mail instead. If I was a Java programmer, I probably could have written the code myself, but I'm not so I opted to buy the connector. Wasn't too expensive: http://www.botstation.com/products/stagent/about.php Eventually (if I can ever make the time), I want this mailin database to be setup so anyone in IT can go to it, and check off which hosts they care to be notified about, and when SA registers a status change this database will either send and IM or an e-mail whichever is appropriate. That's our corporate IM standard, even though I can use AIM, ICQ, etc, I really have to use ST to keep the security and network folks happy. Has there been any thought to adding that to the notifications? Thanks, Greg ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------ This is a PRIVATE message.
