No problem – I have SA text my cell as well – I just use the pager as a back up. It’s saved my bacon a couple of times when the exchange servers crashes or stops responding. But there are other alternatives – that’s the wonderful thing about Dirks product.

You’ll never regret buying it.

Good to know.  I'm looking for a solution that allows me to send to a group of individuals.  Most DON'T have pagers, just cells.  In fact, in the near future the pagers will be going away.  Think there will be a problem with that?

Hey!

I’ve been using numeric paging since I started using SA 3 years ago. Works fine for me.

Only time it hasn’t worked is when the wife takes the battery out of my pager…    J

Numeric paging isn't reliable as it's not based on a protocol.

Alpha paging (SMS) is reliable as it's based on a protocol.  However there are still several "weak" points: the modem, the line, the gateway and the speed of the provider.  But it works.

Just finishing up evaluations on Servers Alive.  I'm really digging the product.  Anyone got the Alpha/Numeric paging working?  I don't currently have a service to dial into (still working that) so I was wondering how it worked?
