Good to know. I'm looking for a solution that allows me to send to a
group of individuals. Most DON'T have pagers, just cells. In fact, in

I’ve been using numeric paging since I started using SA 3 years ago.
Works fine for me.
Only time it hasn’t worked is when the wife takes the battery out of
my pager… J

Numeric paging isn't reliable as it's not based on a protocol.
Alpha paging (SMS) is reliable as it's based on a protocol. However
there are still several "weak" points: the modem, the line, the
gateway and the speed of the provider. But it works.

Just finishing up evaluations on Servers Alive. I'm really digging the
product. Anyone got the Alpha/Numeric paging working? I don't
currently have a service to dial into (still working that) so I was
wondering how it worked?
