Ah, that'll be caused by the old-style file associations, which used to need -autoboot 1 -disk1 "%1" on the command-line to insert the disk and boot it. The new version accepts a bare filename on the command-line, triggering a one-time boot instead (which seems cleaner). With the old association still in place it'll force the auto-boot option to be enabled every time you open a DSK/SAD through the shell, which is exactly what you described. There's no easy way to clean-up the old associations without stomping on something the user might have set up manually. It just means manually adjusting the association, or using the Win32 installer to have them set up again. It's handy I know about it anyway :-) Si
