I will define it in the FAQ - right now, the more specific the question, the
less likely the I will answer correctly.

Of course. Also keep in mind that I am not a core developer. My work with
this project is to try and make sure everyone is communicating on the key
issues.

This must happen over time. For most of us at MySQL, this partnership
is almost as new to us as it is to you. We will need time to understand the
product.

This is why we are working with the SAP DB team. They know their product
and we know ours. :)

I am not going to continue a defence of this partnership. I think that I
as a group, we have discussed all or most of these issues.
Now is the time for us (MySQL and anyone else who wishes to help :) to start
work.
The first priority must be the client licensing. I will work up some roughs,
run them through internal review and then we can do a community review.
After this, we will prepare a set of documents and plans - these will likely
include:
MySQL/SAPDB Integration FAQ
Community Feedback and Concerns
Feature-by-Feature Comparisons of MySQL and SAP DB
MySQL/SAPDB Integration Development Plans
The documents will take time to prepare and will improve over time. If
people have an interest, then they are welcome to help prepare / refine
these documents.
I expect that the FAQ will come first.
I will start by making a list of questions derived from our discussions and
then submitting it for community review.
The answers will happen as the development and management teams get
together to work on figuring out the concrete details.
Some questions may only be answered with "We don't know yet"
Another key task will be setting up the infrastructure of community work in
this area.
.. and of course, there will be things that I have missed and not
considered.. Additional feedback is welcome in this area.
Cheers!
