Your mail server rejects bounces, i.e. it cannot handle mail from the null
envelope sender address. Look how there is no problem here:

Connection closed by foreign host.
This also explains why you don't get a bounce that your commits cannot be
delivered to www-commits -- you were clueless and didn't know the reason; if
your mail service had accepted the bounces, you would know at least the error
code/reason.
