Hello,

I use e.exe, Textmate and gedit.
I could use vi, but these work for me.

Perhaps I should have been clearer:
how do I proceed **to commit the changes**?

I know I could just change the diff to Fulvio,
but I would like to have the procedure
clearly explained, in the mailing list,
so that people could know how to proceed.

Something must be done along these lines.

What I want is a **one-click solution**.
Creating a db with the desired ECOs is too much clicks.
(Easily more than 50.)
To filter a repertoire for one colour can take lots of ORs.

Imagine you have to do this each week,
say by filtering out TWIC files.
This makes lots of clicks per year.
A cumbersome, error-prone method.

Indeed. But Tcl does not seem that tough to learn:

Besides, there is Shane's programmer reference for Scid:

What I have in mind would be something like
what the good ol' Repertoire Editor did,
but directly in the Search window.

Instead of having a big list in the code,
we could separate the logic from the data
and make the code search for a text file
where the search terms (here the ECOs) could be tweaked.

For now, scripting seems easier.
Having it both ways should be welcomed.
One could then have multiple search files
and many scripting solutions.

It's about the same idea as saved searches,
but with the idea to plug in the searches together
and even automate them.

Speaking of the Search window, Scid on the Go keeps an history
of the past searches for the session.
Really cool.

The source code is there:

I believe we're evolving out of the discussion about the Richter Rauzer.

For now, I'd like to know how to commit the changes.

Bye,

Ben
