My Linux installation is up and running for more than a month, now.
I mainly search for, analyze, comment, and export games.
I don't have crashes.

But this is irrelevant.
What is happening now is a putsch.
This is not the first time Steven tries this.
The speech acts are clear enough.
Could anybody clearly point out differences between scid and scidvspc and
weather the last is being tested against Linux.
vsPC sounds little like "for Windows".
I'm using scid on Linux only and don't want it to stop working after merge or
be removed from Debian repository.

Oh yeah - we now have a working Visual C++ makefile if
anyone wnats to compile the project themselves (thanks Gerd
and Ted Wong. See ScidvsPC svn Makefile.vc for more info).
SCID must be build-able using tools available in Debian!

BTW: I'm using scid on Kubuntu sience over year and did not experience even
single crash.

Kind Regards,

Scidvspc is a fork of scid with many improvements. It is also actively maintained. If you want to see a list of differences, just check out the scidvspc website:

I agree that the name scid + "vspc" is quite confusing. Nevertheless it runs on Linux quite beautifully.
