I also would very much like the ability to specify a column where wrapping should occur (e.g. wrap.column=80, wrap.auto=0), but still keeping the default behavior of dynamic wrapping (e.g. wrap.auto=1). In fact, I'd also really like the Edit->Paragraph->Split function to split at a specified column (e.g. paragraph.split.column -- or just use the wrap.column/wrap.auto settings for this).
Per-buffer wrapping is a feature I'd like to see, but not as important to me, since it can be easily toggled.
