I use the keyboard way more often than the mouse. But when I navigate the
tabs I prefer the mouse. Old habit, hard to get rid of :)
Piotr was describing a mouse operation: menus can be chosen using
the mouse and File | New is one that is reasonably easy to hit. There
are a very large number of possible input cues that an application
could react to and it isn't reasonable for an application to attempt
to handle them all. I wasn't aware of Firefox's tab bar double click
and it isn't standard Windows behaviour. If it becomes standard
behaviour there will be more reason to implement it. The tab bar
controls on both Windows and GTK+ are not the easiest things to
customise: Firefox implements its own tab bar.
I wanted to decide myself what is gonna close a tab. Not a reminder of how
it works now :)
I like to tweak my apps to the fullest. So just ignore my ideas if they are
too far fetched :-)
The source code is available for those that need more customisation.
