To be honest, I am going off the idea of homehighway now. I probably use the net less than 6 hours a week, except for the occasional linux cd image downloads and mp3 etc. I will have to find an ISP, and pay for call charges and may not get the use of the full 128k, have an extra analogue phone line I will not use and have to set up extension kits. I think this sounds ideal for someone who would use the net a lot more than I do and for someone who works from home. I may be better of sticking an NTL box onto the phone socket and get totally free internet access (if I spend more than �10 calls/month) and just wait until NTL can offer broadband in the street. I would not mind someone getting an engaged tone on the phone as most people would call my mobile if they had to contact me. I hope this does not sound unreasonable after all the advice given here.
