Actually on Windows there are four ways if you are considering WEB/DOM one way.
Windows, Off Screen Model, MSAA and UIA. And when using MSAA or UIA it seems like one still needs to work with the Windows API too (GetNextWindow, GetFirstChild … Whoops, I guess that five methods of making systems accessible on Windows, and we haven’t thought about direct COM, or JAVA.
