+1 for never hosting on GoDaddy (if you can avoid it) I've had good experiences with Slicehost and RimuHosting.
- Slicehost is purely VPS and a great option if you're very comfortable building your own web server. Prices are very affordable, and it's easy to scale up if you get more traffic. - Rimu offers VPS and dedicated, and has excellent support. If you need something installed, they'll usually do it for free if it's a quick task.
