RE:  U-verse vs DirecTv?

I tried u-verse for a month. Same quality as DirecTV as far as I could 
tell. Standard def - don't know about HD.

RE: broadband
I'm in mid-city and I have ATT DSL. I *think* it's only copper from my 
house to the nearest fiber box on the street. 6.0 Mbps down / 768 kbps 
up. $35 /month. No real problems with it. Down probably twice in the 
last year for a few minutes each time.

RE: ATT
I did have to call ATT a bunch of times to get the phone up and running 
and transfer the home number over from cox.  It was a nightmare - ATT 
are the worst when you have a problem. Took about a month to get the 
land line set up. Really.
