Tagging? What exactly is that in the context of a large project and why do you need that?
About a dozen of us have written about 1/3 MSLOC. Several of the people who wrote code have moved on. On top of that we have a foreign, often Engrish-laden, giant SDK to deal with. Plus a host of other libraries, from around the world.
We need the ability to move around code very quickly, because there's way too much of it to stuff into a single human brain. Tagging allows this. It lets us look up parameters quickly, or hop to a specific function, etc. Add onto that a stack and bookmark system for moving around and you gain quite a bit of productivity.
Anyway, if Textmate gains this, that would rock. Until then, for Rails, and other small projects, it works very well. It's sure got some conveniences I find myself missing when I'm @ work (in Slickedit).
