I have more or less the same setup -- I've also added the Aptana plugin which seems to provide better syntax highlighting for CSS and Javascript files. Just good to know I'm not the only one here.
Since I frequently work from both Mac, Windows and Linux platforms, I found it difficulty to find time learning a new editor (TM) when I can utilize something I'm familiar with and will be available no matter what platform I'm working from. On 2/19/07, Deb Lewis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

More specifically, I install both the RDT (ruby) plugin and the RadRails plugin into my standard Eclipse installation, along with subclipse for subversion integration (and various other plugins I use for other languages and development tasks) From that I get syntax highlighting, excellent version control tools, nice searching facilities with multiple ways to control scope, convenient hooks for running rake tasks and unit tests, flexible ways to organize my source code (albeit constrained somewhat by rails assumptions of file system layouts). Not sure if there are some of the tagging/bookmarking features that people like in other editors, but maybe I just haven't found that in eclipse - after 5 yrs I still keep finding useful features. Eclipse leans toward the GUI point of view, vs more cmd-line oriented editors, so whether you like it depends partly on your personal preferences. ~ Deb _______________________________________________ Sdruby mailing list [email protected] http://lists.sdruby.com/mailman/listinfo/sdruby
