Lynne, Snowball is beautiful! And I could see the smile on your face as you wrote about all her funny quirks and playfulness that you're learning about. What a wonderful time this is for you and her. And such a reward for all that you went through with Boo Boo, from the loving and tenacious care to the pain in letting him go. I think Boo Boo is enjoying himself immensely, watching the both of you from the Rainbow Bridge. She certainly has helped ease the pain of losing him, probably because she is pretty high maintenance. We need to comb her at least once a day and clean her eyes twice a day because they do tear a lot. I swear she would be show material if those eyes weren't so much work. I'm not going to do anything extreme with them, just bathe them with warm water a couple times a day so they don't get crusty. Yep we love her and you know, if dear Boo hadn't been with us I probably would never have been made so aware of all the devastating illnesses and terrible conditions so many of these cats live with. Thank you Diane. She's doing just what I want. I lay down on the bed and the little precious jumped up and curled right up along side of me, stretched out and made sure she had her little paw on my hand before dozing off. She hasn't stopped purring since she's been here. The first thing she did when she got home was to go over to Lennie who was sleeping in HER new bed, put her nose on his and woke him up. Poor Len was so startled, hissed at her a couple times and that was that. Snowy just walked away and went on exploring. I think she is going to be a terrific addition if not a bit of a diva though. When Bob came upstairs to see her and was leaving she blatted at him as if to say, hey, the new cat is here, get back and pet me. I think Snowy is gonna be a bit of a high maintenance girl, but we're used to it with our very spoiled Lennie. I hope BooBoo is proud that we took this little one in. I'm pressing some flowers from the arrangement his vet sent to us. They'll go into his little momento box. I'm trying my hardest to make me be her favorite Sue, but even though she was cuddling with me on the bed, when Bob would try to leave, she would blat at him to come back. She hates being caged so on the way home we let her out. There's lots of room to move around in the van. Where did she wind up sitting??? On Bob's lap of course. Thanks Dede. How quickly things can change. She has decided that she will not be intimidated by Lennie. She has been stalking him and they actually came nose to nose. She slightly hissed, he loudly hissed and took a swipe at her. She would not back down so we had to do an intervention. She ate his food so I had to change it. Fortunately she used her own litter box. She's a feisty girl with a mind of her own but just gorgeous and full of personality. I learned at the Vets that in the past she didi have a litter of kittens while in that store but they all died. Not surprising with the conditions she was living under. The vet told us to arrange for her spaying in a couple weeks or so. He doesn't want to do it right away so when she does go to him she will know she is coming home afterwards. Hey Lynne That is terrific. I am so glad your girl is home she sounds delightful. On another note, my sister's Kitty (angel) Slinky visited her in a dream the other night. She said in her dream he was alive again. She was not sure about the dream's meaning. I told her SLinky was letting her know he was alright. She told me it was more than two years before he husband Doug came to her in a dream. I told her I thought it was because she knew where Doug had gone(heaven), but she was not as clear where Slinky was. I have only had one cat visit me after passing. I am ok with that I will see them all later. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Sally
