Could someone refresh my memory on what knob was used?

It's not a matter or the notch being within the AGC loop (although
it should be for other reasons). The P3 is fed from the output of
the first mixer - before the "roofing filter." That's the only
place to get a 200 KHz +/- bandwidth.

Yes, good job. One tweak I'd like to see is the center frequency
stay to even 1 or 5 KHz values in the fixed tune mode and the
left/right edge of the display lock to the band edge when tuning
within of the band edge. Those aren't critical but they
make reading frequency, etc. a lot easier.

It's more complicated than that. The M1-4 buttons have no separate
"hold" function when they are used as CW (and I assume DVR) memories -
more precisely, HOLDing one of them puts it in auto-repeat, at least in
CW/DATA (I don't know about the DVR - voice modes are a mystery to me).
However, when
Yes, it is in the recording loop. The DVR records what you are

Think of the DVR as a speaker, and as a microphone, and you can

Don't you have to receive in DATA A as well in order to get RX equalizer out

Paul,
The first thing to check is the DC voltage at RF Board U6 pin 5 - if it
is not close to 4 volts, then you need to check the thermistor board for
solder bridges.
If the above checks OK, then try tuning downward fom 4000 kHz and see if
the voltage drops.
If it does, recount the red turns

This is because the P3 waterfall is taken from the IF output.
This is because the P3 waterfall is taken from the IF output. The notch is done
with the DSP on the 15KHz IF, not the 8215KHz IF.

Hi Hector,
you can play back him on the air with no problems.
But if I remember correctly, the received/recorded audio passes thru
your TX equalizer, so the "remote" station hears how he sounds with your
own tx equalizing applied on it.

One question for the group for the ones who has the DVR installed.
If you record a station off the air can you play him back on the air so that
way he can hear how he sounds on your radio or its just like any other DVR on
the JA radios that is only good to playback your prerecorded CQ ?
