When I depress any selection on my KX2 - I get CW telling me what selection I
pressed. How do I stop or restart this?
I can’t kind it in the manual.

If a single button held in on power up won't cure it, grab a handful.
The CPU should still be attempting to strobe the panel for key presses.
All you want it to do is have the lockup clear up long enough for the cpu to
sense a correctable failure.

FWIW, you can find InsideOut Edgeport interfaces on eBay that are usually
quite reasonable.
I have them in 2 port, 4 port and 8 port configurations.
The use a single USB connector and provide what the computer sees as stable
serial ports that stay where you put them.

On my previous message, I referenced 8 pole AM and FM filters, and I am not
sure such exists.
Let me reword it to want to trade an AM filter for a FM filter.

I have AM filters in both main and sub receivers, and would like to have the
capability to work FM on 10m.
Is there anyone out there that has 2 of the 8-pole FM filters and would like
to swap for one an AM 8 -pole filter?

These show up from time to time. My little QRP circle of friends have found
2 in the last month. Both were around $300.
When you see a solid state amp that was built in the late 70's with the
original output transistors, you get the feel
Preamp, Attenuator, ATU, AGC were all checked before determining that the
audio on 60m was lacking.
The levels on the P3 were also checked to aid in determining the problem.
RX EQ was all maxed out in able to overcome the inherit audio attenuation
when the EQ settings are moved off of +16.

When I turned the K3 on this morning, I decided to listen to 60m, to get
away from the contesting.
As I went through the bands from the 2 meg frequency I had been monitoring,
when it got to the 5 MHz band it seemed to be a bit deaf.

I have swapped cables, dummy load direct to Amp dummy load through tuner
(in bypass) to amp, dummy load through SWR bridge to amp.
Cables have been checked into a dummy load by SWR analyzer (realize this
doesn't' take into effect power going through them.
Have used accessory cable from K3,
t of ALC begins at the 5ht bar, and bars 1 through 4
do not indicate any ALC action at all. They are more like a VU meter
provided to allow you some metering to help you adjust the audio level.

The SignaLink may have to be set for Line Level output - it is plugged
for mic level by default. See the manufacturer's documentation to see
how to set it to line level output.

The other half of this vertical antenna is the ground system. Without
that other half, you will be wasting your time and money on the first
half. The proof of this - you would never dream of putting up half of

Another one that may be worth looking into (other than the suggestions
presented already) is the Alinco DM-330MV Switching supply.
It is metered, adjustable voltage, remotely accessible, small, quiet,
well laid out, and it has a feature similar to Yaesu's "Clock Shift",
whereby you can shift any n
On the Stainless Screws, a Black Magic Marker does wonders.
Use a piece of Styrofoam to push the screws into, and give the heads a
few coats.
It is a renewable process that can be repeated every time they are
removed.
