Just wanted to thank everyone again for the kind words about my baby I lost a
week ago, Nibbler. I have some questions about his two brothers Brillo and
Desmond. They are in great health with no symptoms. Is it a good idea to get
FeLV+ kittens their shots? Also, in a month they will be old
We are going to start Bridget on LTCI. Many thanks to all the members of this
group - I would not have known about this drug without you.
She's doing great. Very active and lively and not acting sick at all. She's a
little unhappy because I've moved her into the garage with the other positive
Crystal, all 8 of my positive kittens received their shots and were
spayed/neutered with no ill affects. Fixing the boys will reduce the stress in
their lives. I follow the new shot protocol. After their 1st yr shots mine
get boosters every three years. They do to the vet annually for a
Natasha, I see no reason why you can't cut and paste Ben's test results. You
may want to start a new message since there is a limit on the size of a message.

That really sucks big time. I knew that Peta had problems, and I haven't
contributed to them in a long time. But I've never heard of this idiocy. I'll
pass this info on - thanks for posting.

I am so sorry. My heart feels your pain. So sad and so unjustified since you
agreed to keep them.
We found a vet who will SN ferals who are going to be returned to their
location without testing (unless they are symptomatic).

I wouldn't give those people anything but a view of my backside as I walked
out. There are low cost spay/neuter clinics all around...but sometimes you
have to really search them out. I found a local organization that just does
the surgery...they will test if I request it, but I don't. PETA
I'm so sorry, Natasha. I've had several double positives, and they have lived
normal lives for a while, but getting sick with anything was taxing on them. I
don't have any double positives right now...I think the first one I had was Mr.
Black Kitty back in 2002 or 3, and I'm so glad I took
Laurie, I so want to find a local source for ;ow cost SN. I've rescued 16
other cats from this colony. I knew one family line had FeLV. I rescued all 8
of them and still have 3.

Bless your heart. I suggest you find a female vet and maybe find one who
already does low cost SN...maybe one who works with your shelter? Where do
you live? (you can email me privately about that if you want).

Hi! I posted yesterday about Ben's diagnosis. I've blogged this a lot on the
daily kitten website, you can follow the thread if you want the whole story;
but I'm just going to cut paste the questions I asked there. For the purpose
of clarity, Ben is his proper name, but we just call him
Hi all. I've been a member of this group for about a year now and enjoy
learning and listening to your experiences regarding your FeLV kitties. I
have two positives and one negative of my own. So long story short, I went
into Petco yesterday to get some food for my cats and ran into a lady who

Oh, Sharyl! This is just so sad and pointless. But a really hard learning

know you were trying to help them. Gentle Bridge vibes to both of them, and
solace to you. I'm grieving with you.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think maybe PETA killed these cats
regardless of their test results. In other words, is it possible the cats
didn't test positive for anything but feral, so was an excuse to kill them?
Sharyl, I am so very sorry.

Thanks for the link MC. I had checked them out a couple of yrs ago. There is
one that might work that I'll call again. Their web site is gone but they may
still be active. There others were over 2 hrs drive away.
