What is the fuel often used in Italy?
A friend tells me it is much cheaper than gasoline but a bit un-nerving
when they put your car in a bunker and everyone stands way back while
the tank gets filled - just in case!

My guess would be that the old seal will be fine unless it appears deformed.
My car has the same issue. The trunk seal is there but is not glued in
at all. I am guessing the previous owner got a new seal when the car was
