You can also pick up learning CodeWarrior off ebay for <$40. New is around $50 i think. It will let you build apps (SIOUX and Mac) but not dll's/slib etc... Has a debugger and full features, just limits what you can build and how big the app can be. Prices are even cheaper for Academic versions.

You must have always gotten the good modules and I the bad. I have never been able to get 32s to stack with 16s. i've not tried RD on my 1400c/G3, but I do have it on my an 040 610 machine running 8.1 with only 8 megs of ram. It allows me to run Office, Netscape, and MacHTTP on it rather solidly. I think it uses some sort of RAM disk-like thing for the vm, but not certain. I've had trouble with it before
