The drivers at NVIDIA's site are the same as nvidia-glx-new. Is there
any reason for trying them? I have the same problem. White screen, thin
black horizontal lines near the bottom and a gradient vertical blue to
gray bar appearing near the middle of the screen after a few seconds.

Hmm, that spreadsheet works fine. You may need to have the gnumeric-doc package
install for the About dialog, although that seems a tad odd. In any case,
everything works for me, pi, sin, log, About. To get the version of gnumeric
you have installed, run:

I have a fresh install of Ubuntu Hardy (AMD 64-bit version).
Viewing gloom in rhythmbox causes either rhythmbox or gstreamer to
crash.
The error message rhythmbox prompts is as follows:

Now I have found this in other keywords (where I would not have dreamed about
that eg. in "casper", Bug #195993) so it seems double but I do not know how to
delete this... really sorry. I shall be more careful in the future.

I have the same bug since I have upgraded from gutsy to hardy. I use the
rails plugin from http://rails.vim.tpope.net/ and it uses paths to help

No, it has not been fixed. I just downloaded ubuntu-8.04-desktop-i386.iso
and booted it as a live CD, and it's still looping.
If anything, the problem has gotten worse: with alpha 4, the desktop background
and menu bars appeared briefl
