I just checked the perms on zope, and it's owned by root. Started it, looked at
the processes owned by root (ps -u root) and 'python' shows up, with the same
PID as Z2.pid. Is there an easy way to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi.
We've got Zope 2.2.2 installed on a Linux box. We want to be able to use
the full-up python that's on the box instead of the python interpreter
that comes with Zope for playing with External Methods.
Is there any way to circumvent Zope's python in this way?
If not, what's the easiest way to
reate simple things like using
manage_addDTMLMethod, etc, but nothing for a product.
The way I've got my data stored is in a combination of dictionaries
and lists... it was an ugly enough process to export it - now
importing it seems worse.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Gary

Thanks for the info, that is some good advice. I am currently deciding which platform to migrate to (Linux or OpenBSD). Apple has let me down and I want to get off it as soon as possible. When you find *BSD specific bugs, how long does it take for them to be fixed? Given that most developers are
