My advise would be to take the printed copy with you to your concerned
officer. Then I don't think that you will face any difficulty. Because as
you are already saying that officer is not aware.

And certainly, it is available for us. On the bsnl website, under the
section of notices, in subsection of for customers, there is this
information given this news was posted on 27th of Apr. Or else, you can
take
the print out of the tarif plan in which they mention that this discount
is

available to both new and existing VI subscribers. The link was posted on
the list by Mr. Samual from Karnataka. I don't have it but if you are not
able to find then drop me an email, I will send you.
hope it helps

Re: [AI] good news about ATMS

2009-05-19 Thread Vamshi. G
Hi Gamsham sir

This is not an issue related to disability or accessibility.

Here is the solution.

If you have used SBI card in a ICICI ATM and in case your account has
been debited and you couldn't withdraw money, then you have to first
go to your SBI branch and give them a letter stating the above.
Then they will forward the same to the ICICI branch. After some
reconciliation by the ICICI bank, your account will be credited.

It may take days, weeks or even months.

I'm saying this as a SBI employee. I see these cases every day.

Hope you are doing great. One of my friends is working as government
secondary teacher (SGT). He has completed BSC (computers) and BED.
Soon he is going to get promotion as school assistant, where he has to
teach mathematics to high school students (from eighth to tenth class)
as he has done BSC in his degree. He has completely lost his vision
when he was doing his degree final year. Now my question is that, can
he teach mathematics to high school students? If so, what are the soft

 valuable suggestions to help him.

 Anxiously waiting for your response.

Re: [AI] Can a visually challenged person teach Mathematics to highschool students?

2009-05-19 Thread Suryanarayana

Hello sir,
I'm also a teacher in secondary school. I do teach mathematics up to class
5. Of course previously I taught mathes up to class 7. there's no much
difficulty. we can use laptop in class to give first example in any new
model. later students can understand somewhat better if we teach them orally
by giving them enough illustrations. I have learned some numbers and signs
to write on the blackboard. I could write after some practice. but the
explanation steps should be dectated orally. no problem students can
understand us very well. if you still have any doubts please contact me off
the line.

thanks and regards,
Surya.

Respected members:

Hope you are doing great. One of my friends is working as government
secondary teacher (SGT). He has completed BSC (computers) and BED.
Soon he is going to get promotion as school assistant, where he has to
teach mathematics to high school students (from eighth to tenth class)
as he has done BSC in his degree. He has completely lost his vision
when he was doing his degree final year. Now my question is that, can
he teach mathematics to high school students? If so, what are the soft
wares and other equipments required for his teaching? Please give your
valuable suggestions to help him.

Anxiously waiting for your response.

With warm regards
VIJAY

Subject: [AI] Problem with Outlook Express.

Dear Access Indians,

Recently I got my PC reformatted. But now there is a problem with my
outlook express. I always go to the maintenance tab in the option submenu
in the tools menu of the outlook express and change the path of my outlook
express. Therefore all the folders of the outlook express are stored in
the F Drive. After formatting the PC, I always get my folders in tact
after changing the path. But this time, it does not show many of my
folders. It shows only two of my manually created folders, apart from the
auto generated folders. They are not hidden, I am sure. Then, why does it
not show them? The folders were important. How can I retrieve them in the
outlook express? They are there in the F drive, but not in the lists of
folders in the outlook express. As a result, I can not open and read them.

I seek your guidance.
Thanking you in anticipation.

   Dear Access Indians,

I have recently purchased Acer laptop. One technician says that I should
recharge the batery only when about fifteen percent of it is left. Another
says that I should not use the batery much, and should run it with
electricity whenever possible. Which oppinion is true, according to your
experience? How can we extend the batery life?

Thanking you in anticipation.

Re: [AI] good news about ATMS

2009-05-19 Thread pamnani
Have patience Subramani. We are just testing these ATMS.
I need the report from Renuka and others.
Bombay had a talking ATM from ICICI Bank many years ago. These single
machines as showpieces make no sense. We are working towards the RBI
circular of one third of the ATMS becoming accessable.

Why not Bangalore well the only thing I can say is that you better start
lobbying and show your strength.

Respected Kanchan-ji,
it is really a good news that SBI has installed a talking ATM. however,
i
have had a very disappointing experience while withdrawing money from
ATMs
of other banks. i had bad experience with ICICI, Canara and PNB's Atms
when
i used my SBI Card.
i would appreciate
he experience of other members in this regard.

I have been informed that State Bank of India has installed a talking
ATM
in Calicut.
Before we can rejoice we need Renuka and others living in and around
Calicut to check if it really works.
Sorry I dont have an address but it is at State Bank of India.
You must just go and check and report every detail. There are many
issues
about talking ATMs so we cant give SBI a pat unless it is fully
 acccessable.
Waiting for your detailed reports soon.

Also just note that anyone can use any Banks ATM card at any other
Banks
ATM machine without any extra charges.
So if you dont have an ATM card of SBI still go ahead and try it.
 Thanks
