Re: [AFMUG] Ceragon AGAIN, help please!
Looking at the pics, I would guess that the hook on the antenna is now interfering with the loop on the ODU causing the holes not to line up so either bend the loop back or cut it off. Yeah, I figured the hook wasn't necessary. But my team is telling me the bolt holes and center hole don't even line up correctly. I'm wondering if I'm missing some middle multiplex piece? In the pic of the antenna you can see a hook sticking up towards the top. The bent handle goes over the hook. There are retaining screws as well. It might not attach at all with the handle in that shape. Re: [AFMUG] Ceragon AGAIN, help please!
I think it clips on that bent part somehow. And they said the screw holes don't line up anymore, so I'm not sure if they were also bent, or if I'm missing a whole part in between. But when I get it back we can take a look and I can pay you to try to fix that, if you don't mind. I told Ceragon to send me a replacement, but we'll see how that goes down. -Original Message- From: Af [mailto:af-boun...@afmug.com] On Behalf Of Chuck McCown Sent: Thursday, August 17, 2017 10:41 AM To: af@afmug.com Subject: Re: [AFMUG] Ceragon AGAIN, help please! I have had freight companies really damage some stuff before, but that is more than I have seen. Of course, proper packing would have solved the problem and that is what the freight company will say if you make a claim with them. -Original Message- From: Chuck McCown Sent: Thursday, August 17, 2017 10:44 AM To: af@afmug.com Subject: Re: [AFMUG] Ceragon AGAIN, help please! One of their non-tech guys got a hold of it and 'fixed' my password 'bug' supposedly, 'saving' me thousands of dollars they wanted to charge me to even touch the radio. But not sure it was worth it now that the ODU is so damaged I can't mount it back on the antenna. Can I just say, I really loath Ceragon at this point. Their finger pointing and disregard for customers is appalling given I spent over $25k for this radio set orginally (and that was DISCOUNTED from retail $40K+)
