multilingual version German UI WIN XP: [DEV300m67 (Build 9466)]"! But mailmerge

Sorry if I haven't been clear, you've misunderstood.

I know those are form data input boxes, and they work as intended on two systems
I have tested them on, but on the system they NEED to work on the grey input
boxes don't work - as I said, you can move the cursor around in the boxes once
the sections are unlocked, but you cannot type in them.

On the system in question this untypeable grey box happens in EVERY input field
in ANY type of document I have tried (ODT ODF DOC). The problem isn't with the
file - the file works fine on 2 of 3 OOo setups. Nor is it that the input boxes
are grey - I can format fields easily when creating a form template or document.
 The problem is that on one system in particular the input fields don't show any
text when I type.

I'll leave it up to you to reopen the issue, or leave it closed as you see fit,
but the fields are not working as designed, nor is the issue invalid.  I can't
think of any way to replicate the bug on any system but the one it fails on as I
don't have any indication what causes the failure on that system in particular.
I've removed and reinstalled OOo on that system, but the problem persists.  I've
wondered if it might be a graphics driver issue.

Thanks for your help, but I worry that I am out of luck, and may begrudgingly
have to take that user & their system back to the world of windows.

Here are the ogg videos:  capture1.ogv and capture2.ogv

I have the presentation file loaded in two separate instances of impress.

capture1 shows the 3.1.1.4 that comes with opensuse 11.2.  As shown in video,
the pointer changes from arrow to "I" as it moves over the text and I can select
the text fine.

capture2 shows the 3.2.0 rc1 from openoffice.org.  In the video, the pointer
stays as an arrow instead of changing to "I" when it moves over the korean
characters.  It behaves normally when moving over the title box in english
alphabets.

When trying to subscript a single character, such as the "2" in H20, the only
way to get it to work reliably is to subscript the "22" in H22O and then remove
one of the 2s. This also happens with any other single character. I noticed
today that this issue manifests with superscript and overline as well.

To replicate this bug:

1. Type a few characters like: abcd2
2. Highlight the "2" and then right click and select "Subscript" from the
"Style" menu. 

Occasionally this will work on the first try. Other times it will work if I

I think I've figured out what is going on here.  When I say that the page has
only 8 rows instead of 9, the size of the page is automatically re-defined.  My
(postscript) printer then asserts its bottom margin, and voila!, the bottom half
of the last line is chopped off.

This automatic re-definition of the sheet size is the crux of the matter. 
Obviously this is often what is wanted, but if you simply want to leave the last
row of labels unused (e.g., because of this bottom margin problem), then it is
wrong.  Ideally there would be an option to specify the sheet size independently
of whatever labels are (defined to be) on it.

- It is a pre-condition for reporting here, that the reporter of an issue

I'm actually surprised developers are marking some of these other issues as 
"duplicates." Having a word count window one can load is certainly not a 
replacement for a live and easily visible word count (the singlemost useful 
feature 
in any word processor from my standpoint); same goes for that macro - close but

- Works fine (different squares depending on the character typed) on Windows
- On SuSE with the font installed, I can't see any square. an other font takes
the fallback

I doubt the font is "clean" anyway because its char mapping starts at U+F020.

When repacing the default text font of Kate with the boxquestion.ttf, every
characters have the same square while different squares show when doing the same
in gedit... (???)

Just so you know someone is listening - no news yet:
- on windows I can only connect to database read-only, so can't insert a new
record with the form.
- on ubuntu jaunty 9.04, I can't get native connector to install - no errors,
just no postgresql in drop down on connect. (Did aptitude install openoffice.org
so did have database part of OO installed when installing native connector)
- NetBSD side I'll have try to compile connector from source - it would be
easier if said source was in the standard tarball...
... so still trying to get a native connector setup to reproduce the bug.

I didn't have any idea to reproduce the problem also under 64 bit with 3.2.RC1
vanilla
but I can reproduce it under Debian Sid 64 bit 3.1.1-12

About the reason I figured out the following steps

The problem doesn't appear directly after "autosave".

After editing some text I get to pages. 

The problem appears if I scroll back to the first page

Hi stumbled over this bug by chance.

currently I'm not working on OOo and it seems the bug was forgotten because
status and component are wrong.

This is a known issue, because OOo does not use the TS session id to distinguish
between running instances (just the user account name + user data directory).

If there's the possibility to run a script for each new created session the
behaviour can be workarounded by using OOos -env command line parameter.

Changing component, status, version, owner.

No it is not limited to a special dokument, occurs with multiple dokuments. The
first export works, but if the pdf file already exists the application freeze.
To be correct the menus still pops up, but i am not able to perfom a action, if
i quit the application it crashs.
