[android-developers] Google InApp Billing - Binding title of skuDetailsList obtained from onSkuDetailsResponse to List View Control

2021-10-07 Thread Srinivas A.K

I am new to the implementation of Google's Billing library and using this
system to make subscriptions inside my app. I am trying to get the title of
*skuDetailsList* which is obtained from *onSkuDetailsResponse* and adding
to the ArrayList dataSource. I am setting the ArraryList as datasource to
the adapter . The issue is the ListView is getting displayed empty every
time even though there are items available in the ArrayList DataSource.

i have I debugged the code and found that the view is getting returned
first and then the items are getting added to the ArrayList Datasource as
onSkuDetailsResponse is getting called asynchronously.

Can you please suggest on how to add items to datasource, bind to the list
view and then return the view?

[android-developers] Google billing Library - Fragment getting disappeared after subscription purchase

2021-10-07 Thread Srinivas A.K

I am new to the implementation of Google's Billing library and using this
system to make subscriptions inside my app. I have created a fragment that
displays a list of subscriptions available for our product.

I have selected a test subscription from the list and purchased it. After a
successful purchase of the subscription through Google Play billing library
process, the fragment is getting closed immediately. I have also used
setRetainInstance(true) in OnCreateView() method for the fragment to stay
after the purchase but it doesn't work.

Can you please suggest on how to make my fragment *NOT TO DISAPPEAR* after
the purchase is completed?

[android-developers] Re: USB Host/External Keyboard support?

2012-03-09 Thread Srinivas Nainala
1) Will the typical Android-enabled device be able to support USB
devices? I know most PDAs today don't have USB Host support, which
throws a wrench into using a lot of external hardware.

Ans:-Yes. Lot of Android devices are available in the market they support
USB devices (espy Keyboard/NFC reader and Flash drive...etc)

This helpful to you:-
http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/usb/index.html

Eg:- Acer/TOSHIBA/eLocity (they gave Mini USB support also)

2) Will a device running Android typically have an interface (USB,
proprietary, whatever) that will allow a user to plug in an external
keyboard?

Ans:-Yes.

I have succeeded with Acer ICONIA.

Okay, I have a question... perhaps this is all speculation... but I've
been searching the Docs and the newsgroup for the past couple of days
trying to get the answer to this question, and no one so far knows (or
at least no one's spoken up about it). Maybe I'm looking for the
wrong thing, but I've done searches on both for USB Host, external
keyboard, keyboard, etc... for hours. So I figured I'd jump into
the shark-infested water and ask my questions. Please try not to tear
 off a limb. ;)

Anyways, my questions are as follows... since I can't find it in the
docs, I imagine no one besides a Google rep will be able to answer
these questions, but I figured I might as well try.

 1) Will the typical Android-enabled device be able to support USB
devices? I know most PDAs today don't have USB Host support, which
throws a wrench into using a lot of external hardware.

 2) Will a device running Android typically have an interface (USB,
proprietary, whatever) that will allow a user to plug in an external
 keyboard?

I have an idea that I'd like to implement, but the idea involves some
users potentially having to do an extended amount of typing on-the-go
(only a small percentage of dedicated users, but those dedicated users
will definitely want the ability to be able to contribute without
having to get back to their home PC first), which won't be worth much
if you can only type on a virtual keyboard or one of those thumbpad
 keyboards.

The solution would partly involve allowing contributions to come from
desktop PCs (where you'd certainly have a full size keyboard), but I
think it'd be great if it could come from the mobile device itself so
you weren't strapped to a desktop/laptop for the content creation
 part of the application.

Thanks in advance for any information you may have found out!

 -Alex

If anyone has found any hints of answers to either of these, I'd
greatly appreciate any info you've found. Thanks! =)

[android-developers] My NFC reader detecting as a USB Keyborad ;)

2012-03-05 Thread Srinivas Nainala
Dear All,

I am facing typical problem with my NFC reader.

Steps:-
I have connected NFC reader to the Acer Iconia USB
slot. I try to enter some data using keyboard on the fields, but I am
unable to find out the keyboard on the screen. In the log file it
detecting as USB Keyboard. How can I get rid of this problem, if I
want to use Soft Keyboard on the screen. But I can able to get the
RFID card information from scanning. Once I removed the NFC reader
from the USB slot, I can able to see the soft Keyboard. Could any one
give how can explicitly call soft keyboard on my application.

[android-developers] Re: My NFC reader detecting as a USB Keyborad ;)

2012-03-05 Thread Srinivas Nainala
Please look into the below line:-
New device: id=15, fd=221, path='/dev/input/event5', name='RFIDeas USB
Keyboard', classes=0x8003, configuration='', keyLayout='/system/
usr/keylayout/Generic.kl', keyCharacterMap='/system/usr/keychars/
Generic.kcm', builtinKeyboard=false

While connecting NFC reader it is deactivating keyboard.
 builtinKeyboard=false

How can I call builtinkeyboard explicitly ???

it more suggestible than Windows and Ubuntu?

Finally What OS is more preferable for Android Apps and OEM

[android-developers] Unbale to opem IM app.

2009-04-28 Thread srinivas

Hi,
On cupcake builds we are unable to open IM app from main menu.
When we open the app, it gets closed immediately and adb logs show the
following error.

01-07 03:28:15.939 E/ImApp ( 3147): [IM.FrontDoorPlugin] no plugins
found! bail...
01-07 03:28:16.139 E/IM ( 3147): Ignore bad IM frontdoor plugin:

m=0x108000}. No providers found
01-07 03:28:16.139 E/IM ( 3147): [onCreate] load plugin failed, no
plugin found!

It is trying to load some thirdpartyplugins in packages/apps/IM/src/
com/android/im/app/FrontDoorPlugin.java file.
Here it is getting plugins count zero and after that the app gets
closed.

Can any one suggest what can be wrong?
Do we need some thirdpartyplugins for this to work?
Any pointers will be very very helpful.

Thanks In advance,
Srinivas

 so I'd just try it.

[android-developers] Key down event not recieved during call for sending DTMF events

2009-02-02 Thread srinivas

Hi,
I am testing DTMF tone generation. When i make a call and press a key
while in call, a key down and
a key up evnets should be generated which are processes in
InCallScreen.java file. The key down event is not received in this
file. But this event is received in EentHub.cpp. I am seeing this
issue in recent cupcake(january 22nd). Before that this used to work.
Is this a knowm issue? The key down event received in EventHub.cpp is
lost, where can i debug this issue? This event is received in
KeyInputQueue.java also, and it is trying to add to some queue of
QueuedEvent type elements but it is not getting delivered to the phone
application, the next event which is key up is getting delivered and
is processed in the Phone application in InCallScreen.java. Is the
down key event overwritten by the key up event?
Any information would be very helpful.
And if somebody can explain the flow from input key capturing to
delivering it to the application, particularly this scenario where a
key is pressed during a call to send a DTMF tone, would be very
useful.

Thanks in advance,
Srinivas

[android-developers] Information related to Browser application

2008-12-11 Thread srinivas

hi,
I am trying to test data calls in android on a new qcom chipset.
I am using browser for this.when i open a browser, it tries to open
www.gmial.com site.
Same page is displayed and no progress is there.
Normally if there is no signal or data calls are not supportesd it
used to display error page and no url found
error is displayed on the older targets, but on this new targe, it
neither displays error page nor does it open the site. There is no
difference in android code betwen new and old targets. Only the linux
kernel and proprietatry stuff has changed.
Can somebody explain the flow of browser application from the point
the application is invoked from the GUI to the end?
Please include as much information as possible.
