Hello We have a custom form, A that works as an email parser. All incoming emails intended for a specific clients are recorded in it. Other client uses OOTB AR System Email Messages. Form A creates a ticket from an incoming email. How to add email attachments in the form ? How AR System Email Attachments work? remedy 9.0.1 - Unable to clear all records using escalation
Hello! I am having issues clear records from a form using escalation. The form has 15k+ records. Every time I run the esc, it clears 7000 records and then stops. Nothing in the escalation logs. Then I run this again and this time it clears only only 3000. I tried changing the esc pool and increasing the thread. What could be the possible reason? Any idea. This is working fine on v7.6.04. Escalations aborts after exception - remedy 9
Hello! I am running into an issue with remedy 9.0.1 escalations. We have an escalation that pushes the data from a view form, say A to a regular form, say B. If any mandatory field on form B is pushed with a NULL value, escalation returns an exception and aborts. It does not process rest of the records. While on 7.6.04, we have the same escalation that writes all the errors to aerror.log and continue processing rest of the records. Is this an issue with Remedy 9.0.1? Can we log such exceptions in arerror.log file and continue processing rest of the records? We are using LicMon to monitor licenses for all clients. Using this, we can track total# and available fixed or floating licenses. It also returns individual/user license details. The main purpose behind this is to get an alert if we need to buy more licenses for that client. To calculate this information, LicMon imports 2 forms ADM :License Monitor and ADM: Individual License Detail. It uses 2 perl scripts in the background that calculates the license information and loads it in these tables. These scripts uses ARSPerl module and some API calls. I am not sure from which form/table it is getting the data. We want to get rid of these scripts and create some remedy workflow that calculates similar information from the data available in OOTB forms like License Review or using API. I need help with #1 understanding the perl script and creating a remedy workflow #2 any other license monitoring application that does not use perl script and returns same type of information. I read about RRR but not sure how much similar is it with LicMon. At present, I can't see any data in AR System Historical License Usage Form. Is this something that needs to be turned ON? Yes. I checked the workflows. There is no AL that changes the view. I believe OOTB, remedy looks for a web view of the form on mid-tier. I have enabled 'Display Standard views' option on mid tier config and that worked. Though it displays default admin view now but I still have issues. Can't update email password. I am not sure of any customizations. We upgraded from 7.6 to 9 and there are 2 views in both the versions. #1 Label - Default Admin View Name - Default Admin View View Type - Standard #2 Label - Default Admin View Name - Web View View Type - Web - Alternate On user tool, it opens #1 and on mid tier it opens #2. AR System Email Mailbox Configuration
Hello! Web view of 'AR System Email Mailbox Configuration' shows a blank screen with 2-3 buttons. I tried to open this form on remedy 9 mid tier but it doesn't work the way it works on user tool. I enabled 'Open Default forms' on mid tier config settings so that all the forms open in default view and not web view. Is there any other way to use this form on mid tier? SRM 8.1.01 Mapping Questions and Responses
Hello all, Looking for guidance. Does anyone know how to map Questions Text, and Question Responses to the SR Details field, to push to an Incident during Service Request creation? I have fairly large SRDs, 15+ questions, and, when I do the advanced mapping, I want labels in front of the Responses, on the notes (detailed description) field of the Incident, however, I only want labels for active questions answered. Right now, I have static labels, but, no responses to them, depending on the questions the users answer. I know this is going to be a customization, but, I need to have this done per the requirements from my employer, and I'm having trouble. Any help would be very much appreciated. Pascale, I spoke with the webadmins, all our environments are clustered too. - they further indicate, what Longwing, Lj refered to as session sharing between different Tomcat in websphere is called session persistence or Database persistence neither of which has ever been configured and is not recommended as session persistence is taxing on the jvms and there is overhead to configuring database persistence (additional databases etc). My OS levels are as follows Http Servers -AIX 6100-07 JVM Servers - AIX 6100-07 JVM Servers - AIX 6100-07 ARServer - AIX 6100-07 I am still waiting on BMC regarding the fiddler, wireshark, web sphere logs, application logs, etc, results/findings. 2 months since this request has been open with BMC, maybe won't be long now. We have been experiencing this a similar issue Started after upgrade from 6.3P20. Issue reported: 11/15/11 07:43:23 Environment at time ARSERVER = 7.5.00 Patch 004 201002051027 OS: UNIX 6.1 ORACLE = 10G JAVA - 1.5 WEBSPHERE 6.1 Java webshpere = 1.5 Mid-tier version = 7.5.00 Patch 004 201002051027 Custom Environment. On the Midtier, on create of new ticket Change (does not occur with Service/incident, just tested) with attachment as a non-admin, the attachment is not saved within ticket. You have to re-attach attachment after saved request. This does not occur if the user is an admin. The occurs in all version of internet explorer and mozilla. At the time: re-added permission to attachment field , save the form, then removed the permission added then re-add original permissions. Then tested adding the attachment to on create in the web as non-admin and that worked. Current ARSERVER = 7.5.00 Patch 004 201002051027 OS: UNIX 6.1 ORACLE = 11G JAVA - 1.5 WEBSPHERE 6.1 Java webshpere = 1.5 Mid-tier version = 7.5.00 Patch 004 201002051027 We still experience this issue today. (just tested with non-admin id) Guess my users are working with the work around of creating the request first then adding the attachment. Hi John, Thanks for responding , (with this issue i'm learning more about our websphere) Our current websphere infrastructure is of the same model, and the jvm is a cluster at web sphere 6.1. I inherited this environment at maybe web 6.0 OR probably one version earlier. Then upgrade to 6.1 with 7.5 p4 MT So that model works. Yes we did. ( that was also suggested by BMC) In the Websphere Admin Console, choose WebSphere Application Servers > serverName > Session management > Enable Cookies. Make sure that the path is set to the context root of the mid tier. To ensure that users can log in successfully, create a new NoAdditionalSessionInfo property: Choose WebSphere Application Servers > serverName > Web Container > Custom Properties. Create a new NoAdditionalSessionInfo property, and set it to true. Restart the IBM WebSphere server. That didnot help. After that change, the issue seemed to disappear; then the next day, started testing - it reoccurred. Hello Kali, I'm currently running 7.5 so this fix may not work for you. You can view reports by replacing the Crystal reports with AR System versions. To do this search the Reports form in the user tool and find the form calling the report. In my case it was HPD:helpdeskreportjoin. Now all of my print buttons work! ARS server 7.00.01 installation error
ARS svr MS 2003 std, SP1 Db svr MS 2003 Ent, SP1 MS SQL 2005 std I have tried using both the ARS 7.0.1 & patch 1 installers with the same results. This new installation fails when it tries to create the ARAdmin account on the database. It copies all the files onto the ARSystem server and creates the database (*.mdf) and log (*.ldf) files on the remote database server. Viewing the database through the SQL 2005 client, I end up with an installation that has a ARSystem database instance with dbo, but no ARS forms/tables and no ARS admin account of "Demo". The installation ends with a statement that I can import the forms manually, but I don't know how since I have to have an admin account to use the AR import tool. I believe there might be a some new SQL configuration setting that is causing the creation of the ARAdmin account to fail, but I am new to 2005. The sa account to the database has full priveledges on the remote database. I would appreciate any help. I started this process last Friday and the BMC crew has only anwsered with questions to date.
