If the PM system must be restored with a mandatory protection clause in the rules to get it back, Im in favour. That way, PMs come back, and people can choose whether or not theyd like their communications to be filtered. Naturally, people would have to be honest in their reporting, which given the nature of piracy, will inevitably not always be the case. But it would be the best compromise.

Hello Shane,When youre in the in between levels area, press Shift+O and press up and down arrow until you found an option called difficulty mod. Press enter and youll have 2 options: enable difficulty mod and set difficulty. Hope it helps.

Well I have signed up, my character is a dwarf crusader called darkrock (yes, inventive eh?), though primarily I just wanted to try the game out. Im liking the screen reader config options here particularly brief combat, though when I get into the stage of things jumping on me for no readily apparent reason Im not sure if Ill want a way to read creature descriptions afterwards sinse one thing that annoys me in muds is never getting the full description of creatures sinse Im too busy typing in commands. I also cant get the sounds to work. I downloaded the file from http://mud.themudhost.net/~vladaar/sound/sound.zip however when I extracted it it didnt contain anything, indeed the folder is only 162 bytes and has nothing in it. Im looking forward to ahving a go at professions sinse I always enjoy exploring. games gathering and mining tend to be 
 static, though Ill have to investigate and see.One very weerd thing I found during the tutorial is that I could use the where npc command to be told what room an npc was in, and the whereis npc command to get exact directions to that npc, but I couldnt get locations just to a room without an npc, for example whereis portalstone I found it of course, but it did seem a bit strange that I didnt get directions, then again I dont know if there is a more complete command to tell you shops, temples and such important locations that I am missing. Ill go and do some more quests and see how things work out. One thing I do like thus far is Im not overloaded with stats or inforamtion, sinse personaly I always find balancing stats and minimaxing the less interesting part of the game especially when Im starting off and I just want to look around.

Things are better than it used to be. There were times when it was difficult to launch without being jumped by someone in a battlecruiser, or you had to pay a huge sum of money for a license to haul asteroids without being attacked. Now attacks still happen but they tend to be much more limited, it tends to be that one of a small group of players decides to hover in a given system and attack anyone they see but they arent there all day and so long as you use flight control warnings to steer clear of that system youre generally okay. I personally dont get involved in the PVP and never have done.Im also the kind of person who likes trying a bit of everything, thats what put me off Core Exiles in part. The skill system means you have to focus your character and makes it very difficult to dabble in all the activities available to some degree or another.Its also worth noting that there have been increasing penalties in Miria
 ni for ships with a bounty. If someone destroys an industrial ship, cargo hauler or freighter that has salvaged debris within the last ten minutes or an asteroid hauler that is near a hauling station, a third of the ships value is added to the attacking ships bounty value. If the ship has a bounty of at least half its value planets with flight control, a large proportion of the planets in the populated areas of space, will refuse to allow that ship to land. If the ship has a bounty of equal to its value planet based lasers will fire on it if it enters one of the four capital sectors. There are also NPC bounty hunter ships who will attack them, though the value of this is limited due to their AI, and those players so inclined are always able to claim the bounty as well. If a ship with a bounty on it is destroyed and the bounty claimed the owning player doesnt receive insurance for the ship and receives a hefty fine related to the bounty on the ship.

Thought Id post about this after hearing about it on BBCs technology program Click this weekend. Many places that offer free wifi are using it to track peoples wifi enabled devices as they move around, even if they dont connect to it.All devices capable of connecting to a computer network have something called a mac address, nothing to do with Apple before you jump to conclusions. By listening to wifi devices pinging to search for networks and so on, which includes the devices mac address, the wifi network can measure signal strengths from various antennae and get an idea of where the device is. The same can be done with devices which have Bluetooth enabled using Bluetooth receivers. Shops are using it to tell how long you spend in a particular aisle, and the British city York is planning to roll it out to the entire city.Heres the important bit, you arent asked permission for this. In addition if you do use the public 
 wifi network the terms and conditions say they can track your traffic which includes social network profiles, they can then tell your age, gender, who youre friends with and potentially your interests and what part of the world or country you come from.So how do you avoid this? Obvious answer, switch off wifi and Bluetooth when you leave the house unless you really need it. iOS8 plans to include a system to periodically change your devices mac address and Im sure someone has already figured out how to make Android do this. If you need to use the wifi network you can always use a virtual private network or VPN, some advanced home routers can offer this function or you can set it up using a computer that stays at home or use a third party service. A VPN bounces all your internet traffic off the VPN server before it goes out, the traffic still has to travel through the internet between you and the VPN server but this tunnel as its called is en
 crypted. Be aware though that some wifi hotspots may block the use of VPN.Personally Im hoping iOS will eventually include a function to automatically turn off wifi when you leave home based on a geofence, for me that would be the ideal solution. Of course YMMV, Im not saying dont use these wifi services just make sure you know what youre giving them in return. The key here is informed choice, its up to you whether you think the trade off is worth it but its important that we consciously make that decision rather than accidentally stumbling into it.

Moving ITunes data  to a new system.

I got my new computer yesterday and Im in the middle of moving all my data over. It has an I5 running at 3 GHZ with 16 gb of ram. I also have a 500 gb SSD for the OS and apps. I also have a 1 tb hard drive for my data. I know Im running seven on it now, but I might be talked in to upgrade to nine when it comes out. Anyway, what is the best way of move all my ITunes stuff over? Im looking to set up my IOS devices up to sync with the new system without loosing all the settings on the IOS devices in question.

To be honest cx2, with all the bad Ive heard about miriani I wouldnt want to risk it sinse having the ship Ive worked really hard to build go boom and be forced to spend time grinding for cash to get another one of the same level to let me continue would just frustrate me, and likely put me streight off the game.I would probably try if the pvp was designated area specific but not as it stands. Regarding core exiles I dont know how recently you played, but you actually can pretty much do bits of everything, especially now there are player made ships with massively more energy and convenient armor, as well as more ways to get Ip and skills, not to mention more uses for the skills you have. The general philosophy behind the game is that persistant play is rewarded with more things to do, and while you might have too persist a great deal, there is a point. Ive not really played much sinse february but I am thinking I ought to ge
 t back and see how my settlement and genesis base are doing.

Hi.So, Im thinking about this whenever I try to test creating FPS, and I cant find the answer. Please give me some ideas.Definitions:1. For thinking about this problem, we use BGT because its popular among audio gamers and programmers.2.Objects are defined as a class, and it has all required information, such as x and y coordinates in the classs proparties.3.We use first person shooter stile for moving, which means player can rotate 360 degrees like Swamp or RTR. The moving system uses aprones posted algorithm.4. The game field are defined as a two-dimensional array, containing information of walls as map tips.5. In the game field array, 0 means nothing, and 1 means a wall.6. Objects have some sound buffers, and each object must have a looping sound that indicates its position.7. Player cant hear objects if they are separated by walls. They must be muted, or the sound volumes must be cut.
 How are swamp and RTR does the mute? Or do you have a good idea to achieve this?

Ah, I didnt realize the keyboard thing. out of interest, what bennifits would such a software based keybaord bring over the existing ios on screen keyboard? Youd still be tapping letters on the screen not pressing keys. the only bennifit I could see is either using dvorjk layouts or whatever that qwerty alternative is called, or possibly having punctuation marks and numbers on the same screen without the need for shifting that there currently is on ios, though even then I cant particularly imagine seriously touch typing on a screen the size of the Iphone 5 (let alone one of the smaller models),  though Ive heard the Iphone 6 is to be bigger so this might change.Btw, Haiden, If google had a speechover screen reader this would not be unusual in levels of plagerism. A famous controversy happened in the early 90s with a game produced for the amiga computer called the great gyana sisters,  and if I told you you played two sisters who 
 had to save a magical kingdom in a side scrolling platformer, could jump on enemys heads, grab a power to increase their size and gain an extra hit, break blocks from undernieth by jumping and hitting them and also be able to throw lightning bolts with an additional power up,  well you see the problem. And anyone around in the early 90s will remember not just the Ninja Turtles, but also all the knockoffs under other licenses, biker mice from mars, Street Sharks, Swat cats, Battle toads, I even once heard of a planned series entitled Power pigs! if something is a good idea people copy it, even down to thee name. of course in the world of fat coorporations and lawyers things can get quite heated, but that still doesnt stop it from happening, neither are the legal decisions always based on the best criteria at least where copywrite is concerned, indeed usually such cases end with out of court settlements and no resolution.this is all the more 
 reason people shouldnt start getting partisan over one company rather than another.

Well, I see one obvious error in your code other than what the compile error said. After you show your first alert box you have a left brace just before the first dynamic_menu. Its the same function, so you dont need one. Fix that error in line 74 also.

Hello,its an RPG, but its not really my cup of tea due to its lack of such things as story and character development but thats just me.I did buy it for a friend as his birthday present, and though I did eventually receive it I must say it was quite a nightmare to get to that point.After I submitted payment there was absolutely no indication given of how to proceed. I contacted the developer and eventually received a response stating that I needed to create an account on his site.My friend did so, I contacted him and waited nearly a month.At that point I contacted Paypal and told them I thought it had been abbandened. After about 5 days of having a claim opened he finally activated the account.I understand when someones busy and all that, but in this day and age fulfillment of a digital order Definitely! Must! Be! Automated especially something that doesnt require customer verification.

Aprone, congratulations on some good sales figures! Less than 500 accounts doesnt seem like a lot, but considering your market, its quite good. Hopefully people keep buying, and renewing, accounts.Titles are earned by leveling up, making your character HC, leveling up as HC, then reverting to normal again. Once you go back to normal, you get the first title. Do it all again and you get the next title, and so on. I dont remember the exact levels, but I think its level 150 normal, make your character HC, get to level 80, then you can revert.

@Mirage:Youre expressing precisely what I said in post 9. That was exactly the situation I went through myself. Being relatively new to audio gaming I was able to appreciate entombed as something new and unique and to be hyped about it to the point of telling all of my friends to play it. The sounds as I said are unique, but not something I would consider comparable to mainstream gaming, having dealt with many consoles over the years, my favorite of which is still n64... I believe thats another story for another time though.After discovering my love for sound design at the early age of 14 I set about collecting sounds and manufacturing my own over a span of 12 years, the result being that I now have well over 100 gigs of sound effects and clips, many of which have been used abused and recycled countless times over by so many people who for some strange reason find it necessary to do so. I cant say how many movies I
 ;ve watched or games Ive played where my mind automatically does a quick take on a sound effect sequence or even a sound clip itself and knows what stock sound design library it came from. Personally I think there is something to be said for sound designers who take sounds that already exist and turn them into something else as was the case with Perfect Dark, a mainstream game I had countless hours of fun with owing to accidental accessibility. I have been able to reproduce the end results through pure imagination rather than honestly knowing if my methods were the same methods employed by the sound designers. Spoiler spaces ahead; read at your own risk.All that to say that I can honestly declare that Entombed has different spins on sound effects, though to be honest some of them sound comical to me, and there was too much that was reused to signal different events occurring. For instance, getting punched doesnt sound any
  different than being hit by a club or hammer, with the exception of the club swinging through the air. Mauls and certain swords produce the exact same sound effect, as does hitting a goblin or an orc. I can let the ettin/giant sound effect slide as they are supposed to be somewhat related by all accounts, but beyond that some of the recycled sound effects just seem like pure laziness to me. Surge hardly sounds like what I would picture a surge to sound like, lightning reminds me of someone shaking branches full of leaves on a tree while blowing into a microphone, and all of the sounds are far too consistent and or have very slight variation to the events they are supposed to be representing. I hardly believe getting stabbed or swiped at by a sword is going to sound the same across that many different creatures, or that every lightning strike would, particularly since at times they arc out and become chains, hitting other targets as well.Beyond t
 hat the mechanics are too far fetched; while you might miss a particular body part, you never miss on a target when casting a spell even though there is no reason why that should be true, hitting zombie heads seems to be more effective than hitting any other body part which makes no sense as they are as undead as the skeletons thus the head should make no real difference, an assassin with the right equipment can kill the monstrous drake with one hit, and perhaps most interesting and unbelievable of all, fairies are completely defenseless creatures with no true redeeming quality. the absurd bugs just make the feeling of the game more comical or more frustrating depending on who you ask. Youll find scrolls and potions you cannot ever identify, weapons you cannot use but your enemies can, and should you decide to experiment with the great hall of mirrors, youll probably find some unpleasant surprises with your companions as well, such as them turning on you some
 where along the way, which means you might be at least one partner short of finishing the game properly as you will more than likely have to kill him or her. As previously pointed out, the bazaar is broken, getting the complete number of quests is a secret you have to fiddle around with, getting a quest on the 25th floor and not being able to finish it is a recurring problem, which is as far as Im concerned, far more frustrating than finding that your quest targets are pared up with the lich, a challenge within itself but one that adds to the gaming experience.No, I dont regret spending $40 on it. No, I dont want my $40 back. @Paddy I agree on the encouraging people to ask questions. One of the best indicators Ive noticed when I meet a new person who initially is wary about interacting with me is when they say I dont want to offend you but, or do you mind if I ask a question? This is usually followed with either how much can you see? or have you always been blind Ive tended to start saying to people, Look if those sorts of questions offended me, Id be offended a lot of the time! and Id rather people asked than assumed If someone asks, it generally can mean that theyre seeing you as a person with different experiences to theirs and trying to learn, which is only a good thing. About becoming angry, one of the problems of blindness is you can feel as though your on show for someone else particularly if you are aware that someone is judging you as incompitant. just like anything else 
 if you try to do something when your pissed off and rushing at it and concerned youll get it wrong youll be more likely to. These days Ive come to a point where I dont have to prove anything to anyone! if someone says can you get to the door? from here, Ill just tell them yes or no, I dont need to proove! I do, not for their stupid bennifit.If I had an incident with someone treating me like a child as you describe that lady Id first attempt to show politely my displeasure, mentioned I was doing a doctorate, engage her in conversation on other matters. If this didnt work (and how much I tried that would depend very much upon how pissed off I was), Id probably go for something sarcastic, but not angry.There is a big difference between controled, and centered anger, and uncontrolled anger which will be liable to make you make mistakes, and you have to learn which one is of use to you in situations. O
 ften simply stopping and directly confronting the person honestly can work, sinse usually people dont realize what they are doing and might occasionally feel shame when you point it out, although some people will carry on regardless sinse theyre morons. Again, why disabled people have to learn and do all this advocacy crap when everyone else can just swan through life regardless and expect to be treated at least like a human is just not fare, but there unfortunately isnt a choice.@TommI totally agree about no way to hide blindness or avoid eye contact sinse it is such a basic part of communication. One interesting fact however is when Ive been on stage performing my mum has witness some quite amusing conversation about whether I am blind or not. I personally dont care either way. When Im performing I care about the performance, my character, my singing, not about whether people work out that I have a visual imparement or not. However
  it is an interesting fact.Part of it might be lack of guide dog, cane or other symbols, but as you said, even without these blindness is fairly obvious, another part might be that on stage of dcourse I know what movements Im making and have practiced and thus am unlikely to need to say avoid bumping into someone, walk slowly or scan for an object if I cant see it to pick it up. The two major reasons however I tend to think are firstly, that on stage there is a huge confidence factor. several very good directors have said to me it doesnt really matter what! your doing on stage as a singer, as long as you do it with confidence that is something I am still learning and trying to bare in mind. The other fact however is one of focus, sinse if your on a stage, you dont need! to worry about communicating with people via eye contact, sinse people are already looking at and listening to you, and indeed for a singer the listening part 
 is a good bit more important,  an actor I know once said well there is a reason we call them the audience and not the vidiance, because the most crucial communication is still vocal in most productions and if youve got the voice part sorted enough you dont need to worry about the other as much this is certainly true, sinse many very tallented singers really dont! prance round the stage or dance a lot. This is something major I get from performance sinse I can use my emotional sense to empathise with and commmunicate to the audience in a very clear and distinct way, which is why as I said the chap at music school who was talking about eye contact found that if I had the right concentration while performaing I could give the impression of eye contact without doing it, though obviously this requires a huge amount of emotional sense and commitment from me, (I cant just expect to jaw out a song while thinking about what Im having for lunch an

This does translate into social situations of course, sinse once you are! in conversation with someone and have their attention, that is the point you can start communicating and chipping away at that perception of difference. I dont believe there is a version for Android,its just on Ios, but there are versions for both Mac and Pc so you shouldnt have problems trying the game.

Ah sorry, it seems the problem is in your keyboard.To add a folder in BTSync, select it from the system tray (or open it) and click on the add folder button. You can treat the folder as a normal one: putting and removing stuff. You can then share the secret code with whoever you want.

You know, I was giving this a lot of thought. This might be more of a hypothetical thing since I dont think there would be any need to use this on an amusement ride, but what if there was some kind of electronic aide that alerted you when someone looked directly into your face, and then you would have to respond by looking into their eyes by using this same kind of beacon?Well, my chance to go to the fair last night ended, and I still feel like I have failed in some way because I never got a chance to record it which was partly due to my iPod running out of battery. Im really, really hoping I can go to the state fair in September.

As Ive said before, I do object to the way Entombed renders the Roguelike mechanics, but I love the atmosphere (no doubt mostly attributable to the music). For what it is, I believe Jason did credit to his audience, though, and although Id encourage people who havent tried it to play nethack for some serious development, I cant imagine much more that could be done to Entombed beyond fixing up some clearly bizarre behaviour thats mostly already been mentioned.

Id be interested to know more about these on screen keyboards people mention. The braille thing I am less bothered about sinse while I can still write braille Ive not had the need to do so in around 20 years beyond banging out a quick label now and then (and lets not open that debate up again), so am definitely happier touch typing. what do these navigation keys do exactly and what advantages do they have over the existing ios keyboard? While I dont regard typing on ios as the spawn of satan the way some people do and find it easy enough to bash in some letters for a password or search string when I dont have my bluetooth keyboard handy, its still not ideal for writing anything particularly long winded (one reason why if I give an ap store rating I keep the comments short), Id certainly not want to play interactive fiction or muds on Ios for example, nor would I want to be writing long e-mails.

It would take a lot more than 2000 or so accounts for him to quit his job. Thats seriously never going to happen. Youd also be surprised. I mean, people play MK9 all all that is combinations of buttons, and the same with COD online play. You never know what sighted players would think. Some will find it stupid, but others may get a bit of enjoyment out of it. But if Aprone is having trouble with hackers now, if he released that to the sighted world itd be a whole new game.

Dark, thats exactly the kind of thing that a third-party keyboard aims to fix. Typing in Braille on your iOS device would be much faster than tapping out letters, hence it would be possible to write long e-mails, play interactive fiction, etc. Right now, you can try MBraille and Fleksy, both available from the App Store, to get an idea of how much more pleasant of an experience you can get. Fleksy is working on an iOS 8 keyboard, and theres a Braille keyboard already built-in to iOS 8. Myself, Ill be looking forward to using the Braille keyboard, since as you say, Dark, typing anything serious on a touchscreen is currently not pleasant, at all.

Ive beaten the whole game from a very long time though I dont have the impression now to try it again, but Entombed is worth buying for the newbies, and a game that I advice you all to try it. However the bugs are varied, some may help you (the multiplier bug) and some may kill you, but it has a very big part of randomness, imagine that it everytime creates a unique weapon, armer, scroll, etc. So it has a hundred if not a thousand, of random combinations to create a unique dungeon and chalenge everytime you play it. I havent played it from March or April, but I plan to beat it again in the near future.

I dont think Apple will advocate turning off the radios entirely, because they make use of them themselves, for geolocation. Also, they have iBeacon, which requires Bluetooth and (surprise!) performs many of the same kinds of tracking that these Wi-Fi based solutions do.Sadly, as long as their are parasites who think we owe them all a favour (and thats what these trackers are, parasites, on the same moral and ethical level as spammers and scammers) the arms-race will continue a pace. The iOS randomisation feature is known to interfere with some configurations using MAC address filtering (which you shouldnt be doing anyway, because its a complete waste of time and effort) and iOS is already leaking the names of your previous networks just trying to rejoin hidden networks that you may have used (thanks, purveyors of security by obscurity), which makes you easy meat for someone with inexpensive equipment spoofing Wi-Fi networks that youre tr
 ying to connect to. Therefore it may be wise to avoid open networks altogether, although to be honest even I cant do that, and you may want to change your home wireless network SSID to something less personal, which I just cant be bothered to do for the sake of those parasites.I wouldnt normally advocate using a VPN, because I believe that all secure transactions should be secure--we should be upgrading the Internet to HTTPS, and using secure protocols. However, if youre going to use open networks, then keeping people from learning where you go is probably not a bad idea. Its either that, or recognise when youre out in the open, and refrain from doing anything touchy. It seems clear that there are bad people trying to harvest information being sent over unsecured Wi-Fi.

Im afraid boarding and capturing a battleship is the only way. The key to doing this is battle droids, sinse battle droids are waaay! tougher than ordinary marines or crew so a smaller force of droids can take out a larger enemy. You cant hyer battledroids at the bar, but there are other ways to get battledroids. Friendly governers (ie governers you have more than a %70 popularity with), will often sell them to you in small numbbers, you can occasionally get them in events too, but the best way is from boarding crusers and destroyers.Everytime you see battle droids on the enemy force use the Emp strike to capture them, then use the commando strike option to hold your battle droids out of the fight so you dont lose more than you gain. Frequently if you capture ships you will get battle droids as rewards too. as to how many, well smugglers 5 isnt as bad as s4 was where you pretty much needed most of your crew to b
 e droids, but your going to need at least 30. I managed to capture a battleship with 29, but this was very risky and I literally had no crew left at the end, so more is ideal. Then again, Funnily enough, even though the carrier has more crew, I managed to take it with just 15 droids which was very odd, so maybe I was just unlucky with my 29 droids. Also bare in mind officers add bonuses to your over all boarding combat as well as your targeting in battles so you want to keep at least 10 officers on your crew for flying the ship as well as your marines (and droids), for capturing enemies, --- unless of course your a pirate, sinse then you only get pirates and battle droids.Hth.

Hello allThanks for your thoughts. Ive been fiddling around with the demo and tried an elf necromancer and ice blast seems to work quite well. Ive noticed however that when targetting an enemy body part such as the head, it seems to not target every single time I atempt it. I am holding down the 8 key on the number row and pressing enter. I would understand if it would target a hand instead every so offen since Im sure your accuracy stat matters here.I have no problems installing and running the game on a windows xp laptop.As a person who played all kinds of games with sighted friends from diablo to final fantasy, I definitely see what the developer was trying to do with making an audio dungeon crawler. I give them 100% props for what they got right. Luting enemies, searching for those few great items among tons of useless ones, random encounters of course and the ability to get destroyed with in the first few
  battles if youre not careful or new to the genre.I also noticed the timing when using sapi vs jaws for example, I dont mind using sapi voices in games if other speech options dont work for some reason.@Nocturnus I agree with you about the price thing, it would be nice if developers could drop the price of older games just as some mainstream places do. Im not even saying make them freeware here, Im definitely willing to pay for a game even if I have to jump through some hoops to get it working on a particular OS, just include clear instructions if possible if that is the case. At least now a days you can find some developers that have a small sale on a game every so offen although Ive noticed that mostly in the IOS app store.Sounds like we have both good and bad experiences with payment here. I will be sure to contact the developer first before any money goes their way although I do have an account set up.

I wouldnt say its that bad Scotf, it is okay for short things, I just wouldnt want to write a novel,  or even one of my novel length posts on this forum . I actually use dictation fairly often to speed things up too, especially things like taking text notes.To be honest I wouldnt want a braille typing ap anyway, as I said Ive not written seriously in braille for years and while I could probably practice that would sort of defeat the object. If the Iphone screen were bigger I could just use the on screen keyboard as it was intended as a touch typing keyboard, which is one reason Id be interested in the Iphone 6 if indeed it comes with a bigger screen as Ive heard.

I agree. Although the sells are good, they are not good enough for him to quit his job. Swamp is a good game. I have an possable interesting question. LOL. Maybe not. LOL. will swamp run better off of an SSD, or a spinning drive? My OS drive in my new syste is an SSD and I have a spinning 1 TB drive in the system for data storeage. All I got to say about the SSD is that I never seen a system boot so fast with jaws. LOL. Also, thanks for including the file checker thing with swamp. it helped to get it set up quickly. Now if I can talk my self in to playing the next few days... No weight, I still have a few more things to get for this new system

Well a device that allerted you when someone was seaking eye contact might help, though how scanning could determine this accurately, and how you would distinguish actual eye contact designed to start a conversation from someone simply glancing at you I dont know. Even if however it could allert you to the actions of others, there isnt a way you could respond naturally. Eye contact is not just looking at someones face there is rather more to it than that, its a far more two way business, just look at how it is described in novels like the good old lovvers eyes meeting across a crowded room thing. There is no way even if you could gather someone was seaking this that you could respond, nor I imagine after youve been alerted would you be able to respond quickly or appropriately enough to actually solve the problem. Eye contact between two sighted people is as instant and obvious as recognizing someones v
 oice. The one electronic solution I could! imagine is a far simpler idea dn one which wed likely see in the next few years, though whether it would gain enough cultural and social assimilation to be effective I dont know. Were already getting to the point where say an Iphone could track other Iphones in the immediate vicinity and tell you information about them. If it could give you basic name and general interest information on your screen, you coudd then phone the person and begin a conversation, which could then move into a real conversation once you moved closer into the same space. The problem of course is that this would depend entirely on the cultural acceptance of A, getting someones general details on your device and b, being able to ring them from their emediate area and request a personal conversation not be thought a creepy stalker. I suspect the second point is the one which is not going to happen, sinse while social media is
  extremely good at connecting people across the worldit does rather have the effect of isolating people in the same area,  look at all the people who wander around crowded public places and would rather be doing skype or facebook than engaging with those around them. Indeed it seems online and offline existance is for a lot of people a very separate thing.This trend is actually a little scary in a lot of ways, but unfortunately doesnt help with social isolation in reality, indeed its rather ironic that frequently on the internet, especially in such open platforms as facebook telling someone your blind is a great way to get the cold shoulder, though interestingly enough once again if you reveal it in a group of common interest the situation is more likely to be different (one reason Ive always said indi developers are a rather nice bunch when talking about their games). This is also why I personally avoid facebook,  though the amount of p
 iffle on the pages Id need to sift through is also a big contributing factor.
