Do you connect your XBox 360 to your TV using a single cable, HDMI, or a set of multiple cables, component or composite? It doesnt matter which it is if youre using component or composite since the sound connections are the same.If youre using a single thickish cable, HDMI, between your 360 and your TV you can get an audio adapter which sits in the AV socket of your 360, this socket should be directly above the one your TV cable is connected to in the back of the console. Thats the socket your console would use for older connections but the sound connections are still live, the adapter should have two phono sockets one for left and one for right. Youll want to get either a 2 X phono to 3.5mm cable or a 2 X phono to 3.5mm adapter with a 3.5mm cable, then put the 3.5mm end into your sound cards line in. The mic input isnt designed for the signal strength of direct input so itd give a poor recording if at all, the line in is desi
 gned for this.If youre using multiple wires two of these will be phono sound wires, you may need sighted assistance to work this out because theyre colour coded or you can just try each wire individually and put it back if it doesnt work. Youll probably want two phono splitters to put in the sockets at your TV end with each one having one of the sound wires in, the other socket should be used for one half of either a 2 X phono to 3.5mm cable or a 2 X phono to 3.5mm adapter with a 3.5mm cable, then just put the other 3.5mm end into your sound cards line in.Phono sound cables come in pairs of connections, one for left and one for right. This means that changing them to a 3.5mm connection for a PC sound card youll have a Y shaped cable or adapter, one side of the Y will be for the left channel with the other for the right and the bottom will be your 3.5mm connector like most headphones and speakers use. Splitters are also often a 
 Y shaped adapter except they have a male connector at one end and a pair of sockets at the other. With the second method youd have the 3.5mm to phono Y adapter connected to both phono splitters, leaving one socket free in each splitter. You then plug the splitter into the TV in place of the audio cables from the 360 and connect the 360s cables into the splitters open sockets instead.

In page loads most of the time taken up will be in server response. In video streaming it depends on the quality of course but I can stream pretty well from youtube and amazon instant video at about 19mbps, I have only a few moments wait while it buffers if at all then its smooth all the way through.I wouldnt worry too much about response time between the two technologies, unless a particular ISP has a bad reputation for laggy connections genera internet latency and server response time should be the main factors in your connections performance rather than the connection itself.

If you wish to make real-time combat like Swamp has or even for an ai in a side-scroller, in python, I dont think there is any way to do it other than by using threading. The last choiceofgames title I played was mecha ace, which I actually ran through on the way here to music school sinse I had a long car drive. I did run into a problem though (beware ahoy!),. I decided to specialize in Piloting skill, melee and maneuverability, which was awsome, and let me take on the blue mask one on one and win. The only problem was then I got to the scene where I was captured and tortured and of course (sinse my will was my second stat), I didnt give in. However with my right hand out of commission my piloting all went down the drain, and so I didnt have enough stats to finish what I believe was the last battle. as I saved after the torture (sinse I was sure there would be some sort of pay off), I will need to play the entire thing once again to get through! grr!

No, in pygame, every key has a number. Every key with a mod has a number and every mod combo has a number.Also, if you alt-tab into the application you may have a different number for your mod keys for some reason. So there is like 4 numbers for the 2 shift keys alone. That is why it is on my list of things to do to make a function to return names for them.

Alteraeon is good to solo, I was on there last week. Last I heard dragon realms would only run with their own inaccessible client. You did used to be able to just run through port and host like any other mud, but apparently not anymore, which is annoying, though you should probably ask the developers just to check sinse what I heard was quite a while ago on the audeasy listand might be inaccurate now.

You are going to need to have some hack, but a little easier hack may be to have checkpoints along the game, so that the replay is sent a pause order while speech goes for, say 5 seconds, then starts back up again. this would still be a little dirty, but a little cleaner than what you are doing.

Why would you need another program to use the clipboard directly? I just use NVDA and instant Translate, with the japanese games set to output to clipboard. That is all. This worked even when I tried BK3 on a new computer on which I hadnt yet installed the Japanese IME (いまはにほんごのIMEがありますが。。。). So just NVDA, instant translate, the game(s), and optionally the TTS of your choice (Eloquence, etc).

I would just plain avoid relying on speech/audio timing entirely. Possibly use frames instead of timers. If its really important that audio finish playing, avoid having frames pass while this is happening if possible (you couldnt get away with this in anything with graphics, but it should be possible in BGT).If TTS is involved, record at the slowest voice rate you can stand. If laggish audio is likely to be inaccurate to frame count, delay as long as possible (but I think loading sounds is serial, so Im not really sure if playback on its own does that much lag-wise?).And if you havent already, try to implement something that keeps frames as even as possible. Youd want to keep the framerate no higher than it needs to be (I wouldnt go any higher than 50FPS, but you can probably get away with as low as 20 before anyone notices.).I wonder if someone shouldnt just implement an FPS clock?... Ah. Then I went and did it in
  the post before I remembered you could probably do it better.

Hello. It seams like I cant get the accessibility in Skullgirls to work like it should. I did what was mensioned in the guide but it didnt work out the way it should be.Can someone help me with that please? Ill tell you what I did.1. However, I dont know if your version will have it, as you went for a retail release rather than the steam release.It has to be enabled with the following command line switch including the dash:-useclipboardTry going to your game exes properties by right clicking the skullgirls exe file, going to properties, then in the target field, go all the way to the end, after the quotes, and type a space folloed by a dash, and useclipboard.If not, then youll have to buy the game from Steam and enable the clipboard feature through the launch settings section on Steam.

Problems similar to this and the inability to send it through 3D audio are the two main reasons I hate screen reader speech. Possibly enough for me not to use it where the latter would be very nice to have, and especially if I ever figure out how to buy something more realistic. nevertheless.Im assuming youre not trying to implement the tools. A big part of TAS in my experience is that youre already running in an emulator, which provides both recording and different tools not in the original game. Id argue that once its in the game its not TAS anymore; at that point, its merely the secret hidden cheat menu. So for the purposes of this discussion, recording only.And to that end, Virtual Audio Cable, Audacity/whatever, and be done.Why? because, without access to the BGT source, its going to be very difficult to do what you want. Even with access, its going to be very dif
 ficult. The reason its not so hard in sighted land is because they just write the frames of graphics and audio to disk: nothing more is kept. But you dont have any graphics, no access to the frames of audio, and no way to make sure everyone listens at the same TTS speed. In emulator land, you just grab the emulated graphics cards output and the emulated sound cards output. Ive not seen any on PC--Im not sure how its done there, but it doesnt seem to be nearly as popular as the emulation ones and probably just uses a screen capture program.Id go so far as to say that you cant rely on your engine for playback capability, for the simple reason of determinism. Give up random numbers unless you save the seed, give up floating point numbers altogether, etc. Offhand, Im not sure what else in BGT is nondeterministic, and thus unsafe-Id bet a lot, however. Nondeterminism is
  why I dropped major client-side simulation for my MMO project (currently on hold). I tried two different approaches and it was a mess, simply because the list of not-allowed things was enormous.In terms of time, you need frames at least. The architectures you are used to are bad for a lot of reasons anyway, but especially here. I personally use a callback-based approach with a stack of active screens, such that the topmost gets input and can block ones below it from ticking. In whatever case, times need to be recorded as frame offsets from game start, not as seconds/whatever. You also need to be *completely* divorced from the system clock. This wont work either, because--again--emulators grab the emulated sound card and graphics card. If the emulator slows down, actual sound playback also slows down with it, but again you cant do that kind of thing without BGT source at least.And recording on the slowest TTS speed yo
 u can stand will just slow you down. I dont think this is the point, and thus I dont consider it a solution.Tbh, Id focus on the tools and record your computer with Virtual Audio Cable and Audacity or similar. Id also ask how many people are going to TAS your games-its kinda pointless if its only you because you wrote them. We also dont have the tools, and a big part of this is that you figure them out as part of the speedrun; in SNES-land, this isnt so hard, but with BGT it will be.Im curious to see how far you get with it.

Hi,I really liked the game my self, yes I didnt like entombed, but something is diffrint about this one, lol.Well I got a question:is there anyway for me to save my game, I read the help file and I cant remember if it says anything about saving, Ill take an other look again though.An other thing is when I start the game, and I create the char, I get a message couldnt find path between room 4 and 5.This only happened once though, I know this shouldnt happen and thats why I reported it.Thanks.

i think the port for ps3 of mk x will be okay, sighted people will be much more affected, because of graphics, resolution, and all those visual things that they care so much.for the mk 9 complete edition, i have it for ps3, it has all the dlc plus all things unlocked. dlc is good, all unlocked is bad, terribly bad. im a fan of unlockables...Also, ive done the first part of a playthrough, and i posted it in this forum.

Really easy.first you need to get a list of the people, this can be done buy pressing ctrl plus w for example.then you need to arrow down to the name you want, press enter there, and youll get the options so you can send a pm, or adding him / her as a friend as well as some other options.There is an easier way for sending pms:when youre in the chat edit field, press [ a-t ] followed buy the playername then the the message, like this:@liquid_ocelot hello there.and btw liquid_ocelot is my name in the playroom.before I go, ctrl plus w isnt the only way to get the list of people, you can press ctrl plus shift plus w to get the list of the people at the table, so you can send them pms or take some actions if youre the table master.hth.

I havent got far enough into the game to visit the glyphmakers grave or use the rift drive yet so hadnt felt qualified to mention them. As for rats nests, I felt mentioning various kinds of ground mission covered that. Felo and Bari I felt were essentially a far more complicated alternative to fuzzy creatures, though I was remiss not to mention breeding Felo as a potential pass time.

[[wow]], apparently I got really lucky when it came to stuff spoiling. I only ever lost 1 vegetables. Perhaps I wont be so lucky next time I play.Interesting post regarding starters, perks and faults yujin. I too tend to go with strong start, as in this game, time is incredibly valuable. In other missions I like to pick other starters, but not this one. Those ticks you save are huge.In the save file I submitted, I went for flower power and green thumb as my perks. Green thumb I might pick again, but Ill probably change my first one. Baking bread is already really efficient, flower power might have been overkill (though it did permit me to reassign my baker occasionally, as even with only one baker I frequently soared way over 100 bread). Ah I do love games with many different ways to play and configurations to try. Also tempted by flinstone vitamins and strong bones, I kept getting surges where like 4 people would get sick. Assigning a doctor meant sudden
 ly 5 of my 12 people were unable to otherwise work, a huge pain! Though it did get better once I upgraded someone to a physician.As for faults, I too chose Trojan man. Not enough time for waiting around for women to get knocked up anyway. I might try one sometime with both sweat shop and premies, but then soldiers and the like will be an absolute must, as theres no way I could fit houses in my little walled off corner.

Saddly, I must admit that certain aspects of SC make a bit more sense than they do on Miriani, coords, for instance, which always throw me off because Im not used to visualizing coords in the order Miriani presents them. ON the other hand, while I cant speak for SC, Miriani has a fairly strict RP atmosphere that is likely to get you at least one warning for being out of character by absentmindedly or reflexively and instinctively mentioning words like players, typing, concepts like trouble with my soundpack or issues with my brother/sister/insert random family member here, etc. The notion that one is supposed to forget life is pure insanity; I almost cant help but feel sorry for people who do get that wrapped up in it. It keeps me from saying much under most circumstances to be honest, since Ive no idea whos watching over my shoulder and how theyre going to take what I say, which is not a comfortable way to play at all, given t
 hat a good chunk of socializing can help out when trying to further your character. Ive heard SC is even more strict on its RP policies; I dont really want to think about it. Call me weak if ya wana; I cant turn my mind off to suit the needs of others. No, that doesnt make me a pessimistic twit or a gloom and doom ridden guy who is easily distracted by trivialities, but when life calls, you face the reality that time stops for no one, not even you, not because youre playing a game. This is where my current upset with games of this caliber truly lie at the moment.

Sure. It has a community. I didnt say it did.But it is small. This cant even be argued. Relative to the communities for all the mainstream languages, it is small. There are a few sites for it. That is all. All the other more mainstream languages have thousands of blogs, dedicated Stackoverflow tags, multiple books, the list goes on. This part of my statement is not opinionated. I can find 10x-100x more documentation for the mainstream languages. And as for referring to the manual, Id be willing to bet quite a lot that you referred to the PB one just as much at the beginning. You have to. Its how you learn the language in the first place.Im just not seeing why, when the question which programming language should I learn? comes up, people jump off the good community to help me do it bandwagon, not to mention all the other bandwagons that dont really get replaced in
  most cases. Im not thinking about professionalism here, and I suppose theres something for because I can use it. But those who use it are able to do so because they learned it and, if the coin toss went a different way, I dont see why anyone wouldnt be saying the same things about Python. Or assembly. I really believe that we could substitute assembly in for Purebasic in this thread and, if enough people in this community had used it, have the same exact conversation.Python and C++ are what Ive seen called multiparadyme. You can but do not have to use object-oriented features in either. As of C++11, you have the ability to do the same level of functional programming in both, as both now have good support for first-class functions (see Pythons filter for a good example of why this matters). If you want, you can sort of get such features in any language with a function pointer, but it

Im currently in Forest of Winds, and Ive found both a stamina upgrade and a switch to step on. Unfortunately, Ive also found a mini-boss that makes a really odd croaking noise. It sounds a bit like a giant frog. I have no idea how to kill it. It appears to kill me every time. Is there a trick to it, or do I just have to button-mash and hope? I feel like everywhere I run, its hitting me.And before anyone suggests it, Ive got all the available treasure boxes, I think. I went through two caves in the plains and got a couple of upgrades, my swords at
  level 4, and I went back to get all the goodies from the previous areas.

The only way to damage this boss in any appreciable way is to poison it.Once Toxic Storm has been set up, defend on turn 2 so that you take half damage.On 3, and on every odd-numbered turn after 3, attack with your knife or something. On turn 4, and on every even-numbered turn, defend so that you take less damage. With any luck, you should be able to hang on until the poison kills the boss.If you cant, your HP is too low and youll have to come back later.

it doesnt boost accuracy much if you razise it only 1point. If you read the description of the skill it raises it by , I believe,3% per point spent, and the initial accuracy is 56% if you are head jabbing with your main hand, and 44% if you are using your off hand. So if it was fully maxed out thats 80% accuracy with your main hand and 68% with your other hand.

it doesnt boost accuracy much if you razise it only 1point. If you read the description of the skill it raises it by , I believe,3% per point spent, and the initial accuracy is 56% if you are head jabbing with your main hand, and 44% if you are using your off hand. So if it was fully maxed out thats 77% accuracy with your main hand and 65% with your other hand.

Loxias, have you tried building houses to raise your population, then tear them all down so you can use the land for the more critical buildings? It would be an extra few steps, but I imagine toward the end of the game you could really benefit from having 5 or 6 additional people. Just a thought. I tried that in 1 game and it worked out okay, but well enough that I feel it should be experimented with more the next time I try.

Not everybody appreciates OO. Indeed, many people object to it, if youll pardon the pun, because it encourages an obsession with the theoretical, rather than the practical, and a top-down rather than bottom-up mentality. This is unsuitable for some programmers, regardless of the projects size. For a nice illustration of this, try Linus Torvalds on C++ (warning: contains naughty words). Id struggle to find fault with his argument, even though I think its inappropriate to deny that choice to those who know how to use it correctly and appreciate the abstractions.Speaking for myself, Im not willing to compromise that kind of control, even in the name of development time. C hurts good, but ultimately its the subset of every other language and if as a programmer you require runtime abstraction, you can build it for yourself. Many of the best programmers do this; for example, 
 they build themselves replacements for C library routines to handle strings using compact and bounds-checked memory representations, to avoid buffer overruns. This is not suitable for general usage, but it absolutely provides comparable convenience, is more portable, more efficient, and doesnt come with the penalty of constant redevelopment over time as interfaces change. YMMV.

Mmm, upsides and downsides. If you sell through Apple, you secure the purchase to your customer, but then you cant easily make offers to sell stuff outside without getting Apple involved. Bother.Still, yes, like Dark, Im going with iOS from now on.

Its hard to deny speed, but there are good cable companies and bad cable companies, and if its a bad one, youll be glad youre on DSL. Can you get VDSL? That might be a worthwhile upgrade path, if you can get it.Generally cable is less flexible, both because of congestion at the CMTS and also because youre connected through a satellite bridge, and thus are limited in addressing and speed options. Cable internet seems to be much like cable TV; youre the customer, and are expected to sip respectfully from the fountains of knowledge. Whereas, DSL/VDSL has you using proper link-level connectivity, at the cost of downstream speed, but gaining proper routed addresses and a more balanced upstream/downstream ratio.Whats more important, speed or reliability?

hi,since this week i also started playing miriani again. with the name michael salvatore and i discovered that most pilots are quite nice. i got 15 links with other pilots already. and my fear of asteroid hauling lisences given by other pilots, what was the case three years ago and what drove me off the game, wasnt needed. because i have hauled around 15 to 20 roids and i havent encountered another pilot asking me who i am and nor they docked at my ship.i also joined various combat missions these past three days and got around 112 combat points and 165 lisence points already. i started playing last tuesday.thanks for doing this research nocturnus, youll definately get a thumbs up, i am enjoying miriani more than ever.greetz mike

As for the installation error, if you are running Avast on your system, that could possibly be effecting the installation. You might have to tell Avast that the installation file is safe.

@Chris Spoiler ahead!its not the same as Stella, but its tough in its own way.You get a random scroll, yes, but it doesnt get re-randomized until you hit it successfully. Try to learn the scroll in as few turns as possible so you can cast it. Rince and repeat. This time you get to choose which character you want to do it with.

Hello folks. Sorry if Im repeating someone elses report, but here it goes:I could not raise the mage spells when I click on learn skills.The pain sound when the male character is being hurt sometimes reminds me more a relief breathing than a pain sound.I accidentally grabed an orc fighters corpse but for some reason I could not drop it.I also experienced the fact that it is easier to land a blow when disarmed than wielding something.Can you add in a warning message to tell if the team is fully rested? I sometimes rest more than needed.Can you add in a guard option in the fight menu in order to spend a turn recovering mana or ap?Well sorry if my post sounds like a storm of issues, but for real, the game has a great potential and I dont want to leave anyone discouraged by this.Best regards, Haramir.
