Nope, if there had been such new releases they have been reported. It is actually a long time sinse weve last heard from philip, and while obviously no developer can give release dates or say when theyll next have something, just popping in and saying hi occasionally to let the community theyre still around is often a good iea. Then again, I havent been on the blastbay forums themselves, so it is entirely possible Philip has been hanging out there on a regular basis.

@Cx2, thanks for this, I wasnt aware of all this info about the inventory, (really the games help and even the wiki is a little lacking on basics). The shades in the shadgard mine do take physical damage, I have been training my staves skill by pounding on them, indeed I spent almost as much time waving my staff at shaddows as I did actually mining .

Also worth noting is you can only wear belt worn items if youre wearing a belt, well duh, and you can wear four of them. You can also get utility belts which can store tiny items, this includes herbs, fire stones and so on, and a lot of cloaks can store items as well. Keeping your money in a worn container will also prevent it from being dropped if you die.To be honest theres not much advantage to going over 70 with herbalism, you can make poultices at 50 but youll need a mortar and pestle along with some pieces of cloth that can be bought from infirmaries. Typing poultice list will show you the different kinds you can make if youre at that required level.

I have half of the code for stational ambiences in place, so they sort of work already. I just need to fine tune it.There is already one particular area that has another kind of footstep. The tunnel. If you find it, the slenderman is supposed to stay out of there, so youre quite safe in it. I would hope.I wonder if anyone ever managed to complete this game yet... LOL

Ah, Ill have to go to haben and check out that staff, Ive not visited haben thus far though Ive wandered a lot of the wilderness around mistrel and shadgard. I did want to go exploring anyway sinse before I start training with the boe I want a belt quiver rather than an over shoulder one as I have my sack on my shoulder at the moment.Apparently mining becomes a lot more prophetable when you can take the metal to a different town to sell, sinse obviously Shadgard is a copper town, but sinse for this Id need a horse and wagon Ill probably leave it until later. Apparently at 70 herbalism you need to start making paltices to advance rather than advance through foraging which is fare enough. I chose Peran, the sea faring race sinse that sounded sort of fun and I liked the idea of playing someone who grew up by the sea but left to see something different, though for character if nothing else I really should put some points into the swim
 ming skill .I actually took my esp pendant off sinse I found the chatter a bit much when I was just starting out and getting used to the game, though I probably should put it back on, particularly if I want to look into the Udemi or other guilds, although right now Im still trying stuff out to see what I might want to do later.

What would be great is walkthroughs of complex games its harder for people to get a handle on, especially if the games are retail with no demo available (sinse a person can listen to a tutorial and get an idea of the game).This is why I recorded some podcasts myself about King of Dragon pass and the smugglers games. Id therefore suggest you look for games that are complex that you might be able to help people understand, or games that are commercial that you might be able to give people a better idea of. Some of the inquisitor games perhaps? Or maybe Time of Conflict 2.0?

@Dark:Yeah, this is why staffs suck in my humble opinion. It cant be kept in frog, neither in backpack or sack. This is why I dont use staffs that much. I like how Udemi could convert bows to staffs, so I dont have to carve it again and again. but comparing with shields thingy, shields are a lot better than staffs, with the combination of entangle and weapon usage. This is what makes elemencers and Udemi rule. I dont know about the others, but these two work fine for me.The only thing I really wanna know now, is how people get lockpicks from. I found my Utasa friend use it so often. Nevertheless, whenever I ask around, no answer works for me. They told me to go to the locksmith shop and unlock the box, but this is exactly why I ask for the lockpick. I dont wanna go to the locksmith everytime, and dont wanna carry those around.@Dark again :Oh, whenever I see you again as Darklenna, Ill give you my belt quiver. I go

Hello.At the moment I dont have a stereo microphone but I happened to have 2 plextalk ptr2 recorders.One is my own and the other one is from my job.So last Spring I had the idea of recording ambient sounds from my backyard with both recorders at the same time and then mixing the 2 sounds with adobe audition to create a stereo effect.So I put the recording from the first plextalk on the left channel and the other on the right.With the multi track view of adobe audition it is possible to aline the tracks correctly so we dont have one channel ahead of the other.The recording can be found here.https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/198 … %20mix.mp3At first everything sound nice but then very gradually the 2 channels get out of sync so the sounds dont pann correctly. Most sounds seam to come out from the left towards the end so I assume that the left channel is a bit ahead of the right.Now my question is why this happens?Since both recorders are digital why they are not synchronised all the time?I can understand this behaviour if I was using tape recorders where we could have different speeds but with digital equipment I thought that we wouldnt have to worry about these things any more.Also my other question is if there is a way to correct this recording to sound stereo all the time.At the moment I created 2 mixings of this.For the first one which is the link above I alined the channels at the beginning of the recording.For the second mix I did the same but i went to the end of the recording instead.Now I need to combine these 2 mixes.Perhaps for the first 45 minutes to have the first mix and then for the other 45 minutes to go to the second one.The problem is that I dont know exactly when the 2 tracks start to go out of sync.Anyway I know this is an unusual question.I hope somebody can help me.I like this recording and I think with some modification it could become a very good soundscape.ThanksNikos

Yep, I wouldnt normally wander with the hand cart, but logging really is the quickest way to get money even if it isnt as interesting as foraging or hunting. Bows and staff is probably where Ill go combat wise sinse Ive already started with the staff, though the only problem I have is where to put everything given that a quarterstaff is too big to put in a sack, but cant go in a frog on the belt, and while I do see you can wear a bow on your shoulder when not wielding it at the moment that is where I have my sack I believe, this is why I wanted money before trying with a bow sinse I will need more equipment as well as training, and those belt quivers arent available in Shadgard.On iron staves Ill need to check.actually, is there a way to list all the slots you have for equipment and know what goes where? The inventory or equipment commands just shows you what you have not necessarily where your wearing it, sinse right now I

Oo, just bump onto Dark by accident some days ago on Clok!:)For races, what if we put it on vote just for fun? Which one sounds the best, for me the answer is Fasa. I dont know why Im really into this race, but man, I swear Ill make all of my future chars Fasa. Its the best for me, roamers, proud fighters, wild survivors, valuable wanderer, man thats just awesome!Talking about staffs, as a Udemi myself, the best weapon the provide for melee combat are staffs, which as we all know, give more parry advantages. But I found out that in either way, using staffs in combat can be screwed sometimes if you dont have incredibly high parry practice through use. The best strategy I use with those infested, is to either send my beautiful arrow through their disgusting bodies or grab a deasent buckler and block. I think its easier than just bashing them with staffs, since Ive wasted so many bandages healing my unfortunate wound

Im just not sure where.As we started to talk about the best way to gain more riln, how much do you all get for the first time when you try to mine, seriously? Cause I took almost an hour without any vein appearing.Ugh, I generally dont log for money. I prefer light travel with no handcart, though sometimes I still use it. Dragging that around the area sounds weird to me for some reason. So what I do with those branches, is make them my beautiful arrow and break someones skull with my sharp pierce, lol.

@Mata, I dont mind wandering, and I do see the advantage of a bow doubling as a staff, (I did wonder about switching seapons), but how do you use a shield? I thought a staff took two hands to wield. Right now I dont have a bow or any arrows so am not looking for a quiver immediately, indeed itll be a while before I can start carving my own I suspect, though I have had a couple of tries just for practice.

Hi everyone!I have made a new game, and I think this time you are really going to enjoy playing it.It is called run for your life, and I got inspired by a game from sammy center called avoid the beeps, though this game is vastly different.In this game, you have to avoid falling objects, collect bonus items, avoid falling in smoke bombs... Hi everyone!I have made a new game, and I think this time you are really going to enjoy playing it.It is called run for your life, and I got inspired by a game from sammy center called avoid the beeps, though this game is vastly different.In this game, you have to avoid falling objects, collect bonus items, avoid falling in smoke bombs... And enjoy the immersive music, which changes according to your health!This will be a first version for the following reasons:1. I still have to record speaking files to explain when you get a bonus. Even though there is a learn sounds option, sometimes it is easy to forget what they do.2. The game still uses your screen reader to speak most things, and I want to record my own voices.3. There are still many bonus items to come, and many other fun things that I want to code.Please, check it out and read the readme file.If you have any suggestions, bug reports, or you find something in the readme that needs further explanation, please comment. Hi The Imaginatrix, the only way that Ive used to catch an Abra is to use Cleffery, with the move sing. But I advise you, I have tried many times, because doesnt work Always. But I think Abra, and its evolutions, with his Attacks his one of the stronger Pokemon.

why not just program your own pack generator? Its easy. The way I do it in my game, if you are using a debug version (I.e: source code or compile debug... it will generator. Otherwise, it will open the pack. This is a one-time and forget thing.

Aww, how sad.For those who dont know how to bash away the sahde, the basic technique is to hide and spring right above its head and bash bash bash. I find this thing really annoying in shagerd mine, not sure about mistral mine, since I dont have the right to mine there.@dark:The thing is, I dont use staffs. Staffs can be wielded with one hand and lack of range defense, I just grab a one handed deasent weapon, like a broadsword. Then I get the shield, which now is crap cause I crafted it and I dont have much knowledge about leatherworking. So it just went mallform, yet still be of use.

Id like something on zero site because its a really nicely designed game, especially with the addon, but everyone seems to forget about it for some reason, and I dont know why. The story missions are good enough on their own, especially with the weather conditions and random enemy movement, and then the addon has random mission creation too, as well as fun stuff like parachuting.

Theres also a stash command, seperate from the stow command but works exactly the same way, so you fcan have a stow container and a different stash container set.70 herbalism isnt that bad, training in herbalism is covered by the money you get for selling the stuff you get with it. Itll take a fair few sessions but its definitely one of the less problematic skills to raise.If youre having trouble with the shades in the mines at Shadgarde just make sure youre using an iron pick not a copper one, iron ones are easily available from Mistral Lake, because the alchemical damage makes a lot of difference. Also try not to get too tired while mining, I usually stop as soon as I turn from winded to tired just in case something creeps up on me. The same thing can sometimes help with logging too, especially if you get a spider falling out of the tree which happens sometimes.

Hi OriolI have a suggestion: I advice you to change the landing sound or the foot steps sounds, because the landing sound seems like on a normal floor, I think it is concrete or something, and the walking sounds seems like on wood or plastic floor, in short: the foot steps sounds and the landing sound isnt compatible with each other, I advice you to change one of them to make it compatible with the other, and thanks for the awesome game Oriol, its amazing, continue this great work.

I like the game, but the sterrio field is uncomfertible for me because the sounds are to close together.other than that, I wish I could pause the game, and plus, there needs to be a sonar sound when the enemie is in the center of my screen making it easy to avoid.when I said uncomfertible, I ment the sound doesnt move from right to left and left to right.

I knew about the belt thing and the money sinse it was mentioned in chat, right now I have a pouch on my belt for money. One thing I really do like is the way you can set default containers so typing things like get knife and sheath knife works nicely. Itd just be nice if the information on what you can wear and what you can do with it was somewhere, I only discovered the stow command from an offhand reference in the miners guide on the wiki.

What I usually do is select all the tracks, then go to properties by pressing ALT+ENTER, then to the Summary Tab, then, I think its either Simple or Advanced, then in the fields that say Artist or Album, I press F2 on those and edit them from there. I press OK and then the settings are saved. Note that this may take a few seconds depending on how many you have selected.

Hi, I currently cannot download swamp, I have tried several times on Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer, the filesize indicated on the first post does not match the file size that I recieve, WinRaR will not unzip it claiming the archive is damaged. I can only guess that the zip archive is corrupt. The alternative download link does not work also. My account still has time on it and Id like to get back into Swamp. Id appreciate some assistance. Macs use EFI 1.1 and not UEFI (essentially EFI 2.0); MS supports EFI 1.1, as compatible with Macs, since Windows 8.Macs can, of course, continue to boot Windows with an MBR table. However, you cannot then install an EFI loader; the installer assumes that the mode you booted up the installer in is the mode of the installation you want.

The first thing that comes to mind is the timers in the digital recorders are probably off by a couple nanoseconds or less. This is common. When you build a timer there is some error; the trick is to make that error less than needed for your application. You can think of it as the peaks of a sine wave; one recorders sine wave is at 44100 hz, and the other is at 44099.1 hz. Unless these are very, very, very high-end recorders that may be your issue. Thats my best theory, anyway. Fixing it is probably not possible as the amount of pitch bend you need is astronomically tiny, and Im not sure anything can handle it because of floating point accuracy. You may be able to fix it by strategically removing individual samples.The proper solution is to buy a stereo microphone, even if Im wrong about this. You can probably pick one up for $50 or so.

First up typing armor, note the american spelling, lets you see what armour slots you have and gives you a quick way to check on the condition of it all.Ill also add that you can wear up to three items on your shoulders, and that staffs can go into a pole harness which is worn on the shoulders. You can also get backpacks which are noticeably bigger than your starting sack will be. I only use my Parrens sack these days for foraging to keep things seperated.Lockpicking is restricted to certain guilds more or less and the Udemi arent one of them Im afraid so youll have to either use the NPC locksmiths orask around for someone to pick the boxes for you, the latter usually costs less.Oh and Dark, a word of warning. Try not to buy metal items from Shadgarde. Lanterns are fine but everything else is bad, for around the same price you can usually get an iron or steel version which is not only more durable but does alchemical damage to net
 hrim. I usually manage to get around 12 alchemical damage from iron weapons and around 5 from steel, in addition to any damage the weapon may inflict naturally. Thats why I think one of the best ways to deal with nethrim is to go with really fast weapons, that way the ghost like incorporeal nethrim suffer repeated alchemical damage to make up for not taking physical damage. I think the ghosts in the shadgarde mine do take a small amount of physical damage at least though, and any spirits you find wandering around the world that are outdoors and not in a specific nethrim heavy area like a graveyard do tend to fade away.Oh and if ESP gets too much you can type tune gray to tune out the channel, again note the american spelling, but your starter pendant wont last long and youll eventually need to buy yourself a full one from a post office which is an eye watering 300 riln. At least its eye watering when youre just getting started.

Entombed is a good idea. Personally as I said I wonder if you should choose what to do on the basis of what is complex and people need to get into (this is why Id love to see mor on Toc 2.0), what requires payment with no demo, and what hasnt had any audio done on it before. On this basis, some of the inquisitor games, Park boss, Tactical battle, perhaps paladin of the sky (though a full walkthru of that would take forever), perhaps traders of known space would be good examples, indeed thinking about it maybe Ill look at doing some of these myself.

So basically.You can actually do this via donations, but you will not turn a profit. In the case of an online game, making at least some money is the only long-term viable option unless you consider it to be pure fun and joy. Which it isnt, not if you do it right. The reason for this is that the task morphs from primarily coding to primarily managing people. Its kind of a catch 22. You can run something like Swamp for free, but the quality will always be less because dollars directly equals time. My game is higher quality if I have more time to put into my game. Money lets me literally buy solutions to my other problems like needing to work 40 hours a week. If I were basically retired and with a good source of income, I could do it as a hobby. If the programming was done and the team had 10 or 15 people who were all capable, unbiased moderators and willing to work for free, it could also be done in theory. But
  in all other cases, you need money to remove the roadblocks.Long-term, the choice to develop an online game is the choice of whether or not to have a second job for as long as the game is running, including things like allowing your game to call your phone and wake you up at 3 AM on the day before a final exam in the morning that you arent ready for because its crashed and the restart scripts failed. The irony is that as soon as you charge this kind of becomes an obligation, not an optional sort of thing. But it gives some idea just what kind of stuff gets put up with.if I do a single-player game for free, I spend some fixed amount of time on it. I then release it and you play it, also spending some fixed amount of time on it before youve won and its boring. I can spend as long as I want on my single-player game, working on it whenever I feel like it and ignoring it when I dont. Until day one of an online game,

And if youre willing not to care about your players and consider them incidental, then thats fine because you can just work on it whenever you want. But this will not keep many players. Not at all.But I will take a great deal of convincing if someone seriously proposes that maintaining the online game and its social interactions for the next 5 years sounds like fun and something youd want to do for free. This includes abusive e-mails because you made someone hate you. This includes staying up until 7 in the morning to get that bugfix out or that feature thats part of the Christmas event coded in. One interesting problem that money solves is how you prevent people from botting account creation, as they did in Swamp; if people have to pay, then trolls are less prev
 alent because trolls have to pay for the rite to troll. As I understand it, this was actually part of why Swamp went paid.Do not be fooled. This is not a mud. The entire process is much trickier. A mud lets builders translate imagination directly into text. A game like this will ultimately cost money and take sound editing experts just for a new area. The engines for muds are fairly generic and can be shared. The engines for a game like this are usually developed specifically for the game and almost never reused outside the group that made them. I can start a mud in an hour. I can start an online game in 6 months, minimum, but probably more like a year before its fully stable, out of beta, and has enough content for me to be able to take a few weeks off.

@Oriol, amusingly enough when I saw the title of this topic I laughed, I didnt know new games from you were that scary . Great sounds and music, I especially like the different death quotes. I do however have a couple of issues. First, when I first played the game the music was so loud I couldnt hear the game. I automatically hit pg down, and that worked to turn the volume down but it wasnt mentioned in the readme, also until i restarted the game I didnt seem to be able to use the arrows to move after turning down the volume, though Ive fiddled with the volume sinse and not replicated the problem. About the game itself, firstly Id like a get ready sound before the start, sinse initially Id died when I barely realized I was playing. fun for arcade weerdness, however again this suffers the problem many audiogames do of just chucking a bunch of random stuff at you as much as possible. It seems the falling objects falling sound plays wy before they hit the floor, meaning avoiding them seemed very based on luck sinse it wasnt always possible to tell what was falling and what had landed, quite apart from the higher background volume. I think part of this was that the sterrio field didnt feel particularly well defined here, most things seemed to happen in a narrow band at the center of the field without using the extreme right or left for gameplay elements as much. Im all for difficult games, but Id rather a game be difficult because I know what is going on and am learning reactions and judging the engine than just because Im trying to understand a complex bunch of souns squashed together. Then again of course, Ive not played the sammy center game so I dont know if this is similar or not.

Thats a goo way of doing it. I dont use Adobe Audition with JAWS. I think Audacity would work nicely for this purpose. The only problem I found when mixing two identical recordings on each channel, they turn into moo, instead of being panned out like theye supposed to.

Its as simple as different user profiles on the ps3. Since one user profile only allows one psn account, thats all you have to manage. I have one profile on my ps3 for my regular north American account, and a second for my JP account. And its equally simple for the web interface... sign in and out of whichever account you want to use, and Instant Translate is your friend if you dont know the language.

Well, I tried odin sphere again and its PRETTY HARD. I completed the firt chapter of gwendolyn but the next one introduces serious problems for us.First of all, alchemy. Its nearly ipossible to do that as you need to stand exactly in the specific place and manage items, use / connect items from your inventory to make a potions or other things. Its really not possible doing this randomly. Next big problem is game map layout. You are basically running from left to right in circle. It mean if you are on far side on the left and going right to the righ side of the screen, you will automatically appear on the left, this is where its like a circle. Its hard because there are many entrances to the other areas and its very easy to be lost there. Most of the locations sounds the same so you dont know exactly where you are.

Ugh, spiders suck. I wish we could have many ways to cure disease, like poison, bleeeding, bone fragture and so on. that will make this mud much more realistic, and we dont have to rely on just bandages all the time. This can also make alchemy more useful, imo.I thin I might revive my old character, Mata, again and send her to work with the Utasa branch. Hello,After playing for a while, Id like to offer up some thoughts.While I can see the idea behind wanting a center sound, at the same time I think it will make things a bit too easy. The thing is, the items are always tracking you, so its more about reaction times in a way. Sometimes when the item is far away from you its volume goes quiet but as it gets closer you will hear it get louder, but thats only if the item was righta cross the other side of he screen in th first place.The game is not supposed to be easy. I can make it to level four or five on most runs now. You have to pay attention to where you are and yes, where the items are, jumping definitely helps more. Of course there are bound to be those very aggressive items that just wont leave you alone and youll seem to get hit by them no matter what, but that could, in a way, be part of it.

Yep the best Ive done is to get to level 4. I feel like the field is really small. I end up dying more on the barriers than from the items falling at me which is kind of sad. THe readme mentions a fire protection bonus. Is there one?WIsh there was a way to skip the death epitaph music. It is kind of long.

Yes, there were some annoying bugs fixed in this version, like the fact that pick locks didnt work 100 percent of the time even though you had it maxed. Also the bug where your summoned minions would turn against you in the hall of mirrors was fixed I believe. And that bug where a Shamens or ratkins health wouldnt reset properly when they turned back into their normal form was also fixed. I think there were a couple other ones fixed too, but i cant remember them off the top of my head.Jason did post the link on the discussion group, but not very many people were succesful in getting it to run, because the some of the components needed to run the game either didnt install properly or were not included with the installer.yes, I can certainly host the links on dropbox and the SSCE Runtime files needed to get the game to run if you would like. Just let me know and I will do a little searching for the test version link. Im not sure
  if I have the setup on my computer anymore, but I should be able to find it easily enough on the discussion group.

The only way, in the old games to keep your newly evolved Alakazam, is to have a friend trade Pokemon with you. Trade the Kadabra to your buddy, and then, have them trade it back to you.In the old game, there were a few Pokemon that needed to be traded in order to evolve. So, all we did was, trade them to each other, and then, took them back.
