Ok. Well, hopefully I can find some sighted people to help me with setting this up. But a bit more precise of a description of the console itself would help to add to what ironcross mentioned already. But the biggest question, how should I position the ps4? What should be facing up so everything is in the right place? Ironcross also said he doesnt use the touch buttons on the ps4... the power I can understand since the ps3 is usable without ever touching the power button... but the eject button? lol

Turns out it wasnt an error with not being able to access $_POST, it was a hilarious mistake I made where i used a + instead of a dot. Which made the thing throw a fit, lols. And yeah if i wanted to make a serious chat client I would use my sql, though Ive never used sql before. I could just as easily convert this thing to a network oriented program like lucass, probably using some of his code, insert credit here, and mod it and see if you had a vps. A windows one. Because the server is coded in bgt.And I do know that if i converted this thing to network and vps, I would use wayayayayayay less resources then anything to do with php. I mean, do you know how often Id have to ping that URL? X10 would hate me. Graah! I should either buy a vps or use somebody elses, id get myself a premium account and a vps but my parents are too fucking lasy to pay 15 bucks a month for a web host.

Windows is installed on the SSD and seems to be working fine, I just wish I knew why the SSD shows up as a raw unformatted drive when I attach it to a USB port with Windows on the hard drive running? Is this typical of SSDs, Id have thought theyd behave just like a hard disk.I installed a portable version of NVDA on it to minimize the footprint any screen reader leaves on the new install until I know which screen reader Im going to use, though NVDA and the available voices for it may have already made the decision for me. I listened to all the voices that came with NVDA, and theres a lot of them, and didnt like any one of them as much as I like Eloquence that comes with JAWS. If I cant find a voice for NVDA that sounds as good as and is as understandable as Eloquence that comes with JAWS, Ill remove NVDA and keep using JAWS.

@Gene, yes, specialized schools do have this issue, although unfortunately its the ones who adapt to the environment and cant live outside it who tend to have the most trouble. @Afrim, I have met blind couples who live together quite well, but like anything else its something that needs both parties to be compitant and know what theyre doing. Unfortunately as regards romance one thing I will say is that for women the situation is far easier and its far more common to find blind women having less trouble than men, because you know men do all the asking. In disability generally the ratio of married women to men is huge, about 6-1, but again, this is societys usual sexist crap that men are put through and people dont recognize, aside from disability attitudes. Btw, no, I do not mean that there is no sexism towards women, only that while there are many people who are always ready to point this out and also people and or
 ganizations who go against the grain on this, sexist attitudes towards men dont get the same attention, indeed often people dont believe its even possible.As regards people and communications Afrim, your correct that it depends upon the environment and the people, but Ive come to think that sinse I left university things are bloody difficult however compitant and together and skilled you are at coping there really! ought to be some extra compensations somewhere. @Sean, firstly perhaps you could please include more punctuation in your messages sinse it makes them rather hard to read with orphius jabbering away without stopping.sinse when you read a sentence that goes on like this and doesnt stop so you dont know what it is saying sinse it has no punctuation marks whatsoever and the person might be making lots of different points but there is no distinction between them sinse there are no pauses in the speech it
  makes things a trifle hard to read especially when the person is relating their own experiences and telling several different stories or making points which are likely very interesting but you dont really know what they are sinse there is no distinction between them and the voice just rattles on.To actually answer your question however,I agree technology is vastly improving, but whether that goes along with a change in attitudes I dont know, indeed your comments about jobs and the government in Newzealand illustrate that. My gran was probably the most compitant and together blind person you could imagine, she was one of the first people in the Uk to have a guide dog, she could travel pretty much anywhere using techniques that now to me seem nuts, like telling buss routes by the rythm of the bus, she cooked regularly using pretty much everything and was also one of the most social and extravert people imaginable. 
 However, even she! complained at peoples attitudes and was regularly treated as if she didnt exist. Unfortunately Im coming to the conclusion that whatever technology or compitancy you learn, you cannot actually have inclusion until peoples attitudes change, for example you can have a company hier a blind person for a high powered job, but how efficiently they do that job depends upon how well people around them treat them, and thats even assuming a company wants to hier a blind person in the first place sinse more frequently than not these days the anti disability discrimination laws actually have the opposite effect, where a company believe a blind person is incapable of performing a given job but instead of asking or making enquiries they just deny the person on some flimsy excuse.Equally, you can have a blind person join others for a social group, but if nobody actually talks to the blind person or treats them as thou
 gh they have a brain, it will just not be successful. blindness in general seems to go along with some of the worst attitudes among the none disabled population, and I have no idea why, but its a regular pain in the kneck. OPf course it isnt universal, however it is rather telling that most of my friends are either friends I met at university, friends I met at things connected to university which I joined later, or friends I meet at my aims summer music school which is like university. I dont know any sort of generic people I meet on the street or in a pub or at some social event or occasion at all, and even with meeting uni students, it still usually takes an hour or two, and for me to engage all my conversational skills and empathy to get people past the whaaa! weerd blind man syndrome.For example, last week where was a try out choire thing, where 600 people got together in a big hall to sing duel of the fates and zadok
  the priest in a concert with the Halli orchestra. The one person who actually bothered talking to me was surprisingly a uni student. When we actually did the performance itself,I went in full Jedi robes, just because when else would I get a chance to sing Korah! mahtah! Korah!

Hi.Here are some quick explanations to hopefully get you started, assuming you have got sighted help to run the first time setup.When you turn on the ps4, you are on the log in screen. Just press x, and youll log into your accound. Itll take a few seconds.Then, you are on the games tab. Pressing the left and right arrows navigates through the games, where the latest game you have played is to the very left.Pressing the up arrow once wil navigate to the functions screen, and there you have settings if you go to the very right and press left once. To shut down the machine, you need to go to the functions screen by pressing the up arrow, then choose the very right option which is power, and then you can press x to put the console in sleep mode. I dont remember how to completely turn off the ps4, but Ill look into that.I should really get some more work done on my ps4 guide, but the weather is so nice here, so I wanna be out in the

Ah, that game went much better and more successful, even if I did have to head to the docks for surgery twice, however I did notice a few weerd things. Firstly, when I had the scalple as my weapon, I sold it by mistake, however when I had the broken bottle as my weapon it wasnt available to sell,  of course Im guessing broken bottles arent particularly worth mutch other than for giving drunken cowboys a very close shave so this does make sense, but I thought Id mention it anyway. A weerder problem was that I was told I could not buy the revolver even when I had 44 cash, which was odd, and a trifle irritating sinse it did mean Anny never got her gun! . And there are rubber feet on the bottom of it, so make sure theyre facing down, feel for the slot, follow the smooth strip and if it leads down to a somewhat long slot, thats where the DVD/Blu Ray goes, thats the front of the console. It wont ever not come to the screen like the PS3 did if you took it off of your TV and travelled with it, now it autodetects your set up and always chooses the right video mode. Im sorry I cant give in depth descriptions, but its because i do have some vision and Im not used to thinking in those terms, and the thing is sort of buried in a hurricane of crap right now, so its hard to get to, lol.

Hi fellas.On expantion and changes, the advanced tks sounds like a good thing, as do more games set in and around Yellow bonnet, however gameplay wise while I do really like the map and talk to formula and the stat tracking, Id personally be more in favour of games that each had something distinct. Im guessing it would be fairly easy to create essentially a modded version of Yellow Bonnet. For example, have a number of survivers of a zombocalypse each in their different house giving the player jobs and replace the runaway horses and cowboys with zombies, or have a sea side Jamaican pirate town with various seedy taverns, naval officers and drunken pirates. However, IIm not sure of that idea myself sinse esentially youd be playing the same game and doing the same thing with similar mechanics, just a slightly different setting and map. If a similar formula was used in the future, Id prefer to wait and see it get a little tweaking gam
 eplay wise to alter things. For example, imagine a more adventure style game similar to a dark room where you needed to make it from Yellow Bonnet to the gold mine crossing the desert, where moving each square took water, where you had to mine gold but had a limited carrying capacity and also had to juggle what weapons you took with you. Or maybe another game set around the town, but one based on finding a number of hidden outlaws by piecing together clues from the towns people, eg, I thought they were hiding somewhere south of the church, with the goal to have a limited number of moves to deduce the outlaws location and catch them before they rob the bank. Or maybe a game which expanded the combat idea, with some more tactical fight options, like perhaps the ability to use the revolver on people in the surrounding squares, or have different weapons had different properties and different qualities against various targets. There are certainly possibilities, but Id I think be more in favour of something which tweaked the board and movement gameplay in various ways rather than just repeating the same mechanics again.for example, one game Ive always! wanted to see is a single player space colony management game, where you get to gather resources from a map, guide your colonists through various hazards from disease, to accidents, to alien beasts and mechanical failures, build buildings and machines and eventually fly off your initial planet and colonize other worlds, either as resource bases for your original colony or as actual new colonies.As to Yellow bonnet itself, the revolver thing was rather weerd and I really cant explain it, it might have been a miner glitch. With the inventory I didnt know tab showed it. I actually dont think hotkeys are a bad thing provided that there are always menu commands instead because that gives people the choice, 
 people can choose either the menu or the hotkeys, but as I said the two main hotkeys I wanted were look around and search.With the ending clipboard text, one suggestion I do have might be instead of just putting the modifyer man or woman to use something a bit more colourful and wild westy, just for purposes of flavour if nothing else.. For example A roustabout going by the handle of insert player name Ive actually always been a fan of the term roustabout its got a nice ring to it. I first came across it in the novelization of the film Pale Rider by Alan Dean Foster (one of the few westerns, possibly even the only western Ive ever read). Amusingly enough, because I read the book in grade two braille, and because whoever had translated it into braille had thought it was a good idea to use the A b sign for about in roustabout, I thought for quite some time the term was actual
 ly roustab which sounds sort of Klingon . Perhaps a new race for the Tks universe? the gun toating no good roustabs! .

Ah, that game went much better and more successful, even if I did have to head to the docks for surgery twice, however I did notice two weerd things. Windows 10 for free?

When I heard that the start menu was returning in Windows 10, I started wondering if I should hold off on installing Windows 7 to my new SSD and wait for Windows 10. The question was and is; are there any features in Windows 10 that arent in Windows 7 that would make it worth buying?To that end I googled Windows 10 vs Windows 7 and found this page:http://www.trustedreviews.com/opinions/ … -windows-7On this page I found:Even at this early stage we’ve established that Windows 10 is a good deal better than Windows 8 for most desktop PC users. This is Jeremy:Ill make two posts, a general response, and then one addressing specific issues raised by Dark.Thank you for trying out the update. Im glad it is an improvement:) We may very well release other updates later. For instance, with TKS last year we released a similar update after the game was released, and were planning another this year to bring in some things we liked from Yellowbonnet.It is possible there are some bugs with updated material. We tried to test as extensively as we could, but we were trying to work quickly (Aaron had farm-related things going on during the first part of July) and its possible some things slipped past us.In answer to Crashmasters request for more material, there are plans afoot to return to Yellowbonnet and environs for future releases in this mini-game series. At this point, some of these plans are nebulous, but our hope would be eventually to releas
 e a small series and be able to sell them separately or bundle them together. In response to the comments about expanding the game, making it larger, having something more detailed: Aaron put a lot of work into making the game do just this. A lot of the code is very portable, and were discussing taking time out to create a generic game creation engine that I could use to create more titles that use similar mechanics and ideas to create other games that might use this format. This is still very tentative: a lot depends on time, what we have going, and need. Further, I like to expand on what I do design wise when I do something new, and this sounds like a good idea in principle, but could lead to YB in just different time periods. Thats not a bad thing necessarily, but it strikes me as stale after a while.Again, we appreciate the feedback and support. Were hoping to have Interceptor out before the end of July.
 bsp; With three games under our belt, were starting to feel like real game designers and stuff:) Also, again as a teaser, if you tried TKS last year, our next project is going to be a greatly revised and expanded version of that concept. Using a lot of ideas suggested on the TKS forum last year, as well as several suggestions weve received from players since then, were going to rip the game apart and start from the ground up to redo not only the size of the map, but rework the way the economy works, the opportunities for avoiding/lessening hazards, creating business opportunities outside just standard trading, engaging in criminal trading, and other things. Word of caution: this is likely to be a long running project. I suspect it wont have the kind of 3 year cycle Interceptor had, but its likely to take us a lot longer than the original TKS or YB. We will probably be establishing a mailing list in the coming months

Im not sure why it didnt in your case. Ill call Aarons attention to it.2. More hot keys. This is something that might happen in future games. We like having the menu and the hot keys for some activities, but one to mention is inventory has the hot key tab. Im not sure now why we didnt make it the I key though. Theres I believe 19 hot keys in game now, and we were trying to avoid making too many and overwhelming the player.3. You diagnosed the broken bottle issue yourself. The broken bottle is a weapon without value. I wanted to make weapons fairly easy to get without money since tough hombre starts with barely enough money to get surgery and medicine. In the origin
 al iteration of the prices, surgery and medicine were more expensive, so weapons were more important to find. When we did sell back options, the bottle was of course left off.4. Your revolver issue is more worrying. That suggests a bug. We have not reproduced this one up to now. Ill work on seeing if I can reproduce, and if we can figure out the cause, well fix.5. The man going by the handle of thing is either a bug (a gender referent not being translated correctly) or an oversight. By the time we were doing the clipboard text, it was late in the process. My gut instinct is that it is an oversight. This should be an easy fix. The only other possibility, would be user error in setting gender, but I suspect you didnt make that error. Well first off I confess I had a few shenanigans with the update. I ran yellow bonnet to have windows open for both the guide dog client launcher and the client itself. I sat around and waited for the game to start or update, but nothing happened, then it occurred to me to run yellow bonnet again so I did that however a yellow bonnet launcher window came up and again I sat around for a minute or two waiting feeling a trifle confused. I closed all the windows and was just about to come and report an error, but decided to try on the basis of third time lucky only for everything to launch fine and for yellow bonnet to tell me the update was successful. Of course, I confess myself I was a bit of a chump for not activating the dolphin curser and checking those launcher windows, however perhaps for future reference a sound file or two could be added to the guide dog client to let you know when programs need updating, particularly sinse I suspect as now you can login to the client and leave it running and then turn your screen reader off for games, some people will likely do as I did and not read the launcher windows.Either way it all worked out and Im loving the new updates, the ambience, the sounds, the extra descriptions, very good stuff indeed! I particularly like the descriptive text. where in that game I decided to do a bit of good olrough housin I will actually try to complete the jobs next time and see what I get.My only miner comment is that you could consider adding a few more shortcut keys, eg, t for talk, I for inventory and f for fight, though look and search are the major things and having keys for them really speeds up the game, and while I definitely approve of a menu for options,fluid gameplay is good, still this is just a miner deal and I liked a lot of this. so guys, I have just done a spam clean, and I figure ill tell you about it because some of it may not have been spam, it was an AI, afterall. It deleted anything with the following1. Any character comprised of only numbers2. Any character that was less than 5 letters/digits in length. I I know this could be pushing it but I looked and there was a lot more spam with this issue than anythingand 3. Any characters that started with a number or punctuation simble. I was pretymuch forced to do this if I want this hole new inv system to work with out a complete character purging. ANd most of it was spam, infact, 28.42 percent of the entire database got nuked this way. Just keep that in mind guys, if this happens, try keeping your character name grater than 4 characters and dont start with numbers in it. I understand there is a lot of 4 letter names such as nick, jack, rick, tony, bob, sam, beth, etc, but it simply cant be helped, Plus, there is gonna s
 oon be rules on names anyway which will help comply with the rules of RP. Rp isnt exactly forced, but rules around it will be, such as having a first and last name such as SamTupy, JohnDean, RickPauls, anything you like to be called in game. I am doing this for RP purpases, but that rule wont come for a bit. I pretymuch need to do this though because truely RP is what this game is comprised of and its simply not for players who wont at least try it. And the people who go around with nothing to do but kill will soon start getting banned. You dont have to partake in RP, but soon most of the player base will expect it out of you if you talk in character. The game just isnt as fun with out rp. Whats the fun of a camping trip if you have no one to talk to and your just going at it alone. RP could be hard for some of you to understand, but once you get the hole jest of it down, it adds so much more to the game its not even funny.

if you have it sitting properly you will know because the front will slope backwards up and away from you. Also find that slot that runs right across the front of the unit. Start tracing it from the right hand side and if you come cross a pair of USB ports than its sitting round the right way. You will notice two slots running up both the left and right hand sides try to keep these clear... they are the intakes for the ps4s cooling system. At the back fight hand side of the ps4, right down at the bottom is the power connecter go up and left from that and you will find the optical port, its the one with a tiny door on it to the left of that is HDMI, Ethernet and the aux port for the PS4 camera.

Hi,[[wow]], that sounds like it could be a really interesting thing to do. I know what you mean about feeling that you dont have the expertise and the right to give someone that level of punishment, but on the other hand it could give you some real life experience.Well, my lifes pretty boring at the moment. Ive finished all my exams for the year but unfortunately Ive had to stay on at college until this time next week as I am starting my A2 subjects (the final year of A Level for anyone who doesnt know). In the last few weeks Ive had a bit of work to do but not a lot; in between work Ive been reading a book in the Morganville Vampires series which Im finding very enjoyable, and spending a lot more time outside than I would usually. The weather in the UK has rather surprisingly been lovely over the past few weeks. Yesterday it even got to 32 degrees (something I thought would never happen).Tonight we have our leaver’s dinner or Prom as they call it in some places which Im rather looking forward to, however I hope it doesnt decide to thunder as its looking rather dark outside... On Saturday we have our annual speech day which should be quite boring as usual, but after that Ive not got much to do and Im leaving for home next Thursday.On the 13th Im heading to Sherwood Forest to go to Center Parcs and I cant wait! My whole family and a few family friends are going, so that should be really enjoyable.

Jeremy here:Dark,I detest this kind of space colonization game as well. Its one of the things that has bugged me with Sound RTS. If we do a space colonization game expect that to be different, perhaps not as detailed as either of us would like, but different:)As to YBs random map generation. Agreed, that could have been more random, how ever, with a modern town, the business district will always be in the same place. We talked about several plans to randomize the map, and we didnt like our alternatives. So we went with a simplified map.As to the nested maps, thats precisely what Im wanting to do with TKSs expansion. I.e. a galactic map with star systems marked, once you click the star system a solar system map. In TKS thats as far as its likely to go, though theres a couple of intriguing possibilities with places to go further from that. With a p
 irate game, I could see maps for overall area around the ship, islands, towns, individual ships and houses. A lot of it depends on our ability to fool with randomizing maps within certain parameters and letting the game juggle multiple map settings. Thats something we have an idea for, and we have a couple of games that might utilize it. IF the TKS expansion works out well in that regard, we might try another minigame that uses a different map strategy and then move on to pirates. All of this is very nebulous. Jeremy here:Oops, forgot to address one point I missed.Your suggestion of a space colonization game is actually one I have notes for in my VG main line notes folder. We have outlines for about 15 or 16 games in that folder exploring different aspects of science fiction and space opera conventions. The colony game is one I want to pursue, but it needed to wait until we had a way of doing what I wanted with the map situation. If this TKS expansion does use the map conventions I want to use, then that will become a lot closer to reality. Now, given Aaron and mys glacial development pace in some cases, it might not see the light of day for many years, but it is thought of and lovingly fiddled with. Take care,Jeremy

LSDJ accessibility - A quick pet project

LSDJ is a tracker for the gameboy that allows people to write music fairly easily using the hardware of the gameboy.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPI1IBc7IEAMost people use LSDJ in an emulated form since obtaining the actual cartridges is quite expensive.LSDJ is a fairly simple program but because of the limitations of the gameboy, blind users would have to rely completely on memorization to know where they are located within a song, making it quite difficult to play. As a bit of a pet project, Im making my own custom emulator for LSDJ that will allow blind users to know more about what theyre actually doing in LSDJ so they can write their own music with this tool.I have gone through the RAM and determined the location important variables located in the RAM, such as the current page, the cursor position, and the locations of some data in the game. As a bit of a pet project this weekend Im going to be modifying an open source Java emulator to see if I can program a new cycle that checks these values in the RAM for changes and announces those changes when they occur. Fun fact - this is also how asynchronous tasks are handled by most software, such as pressing a key down.Based on what I extracted I should be able to write something that announces the following:- Current screen (for example, song screen or instrument screen)- Cursor location- Some Data, such as what references are used.This isnt a super serious project but yeah. Ive been depressed as hell lately and Im just starting to put my life together again and I want to practice making accessible software not named Braillemon. lolI wont personally distribute LSDJ with this project but you can obtain the most recent demo version here: http://www.littlesounddj.com/lsd/latest … 5b_demo.gbIt doesnt come with saving, but emulators usually support save states.

Jeremy here:Dark,Agreed. My reservations on the generic engine come from just such a concern. However, that said, The generic system was to be more flexible than that. For instance, jobs might be quests in a different setting or missions. The generic nature comes more from how the game handles characters, objects, rooms, etc. In some ways, YB is a minimud and uses some of the same ideas.As to Yb expansion, funnily enough both your suggestions have been considered. One idea was to explore some sort of resource management game, perhaps a farm or ranch based game though mining is also a possibility. I had actually thought seriously of just such an outlaw hunting game. Theres others as well. However, one idea weve played with is just expanding the map for future games. So Yb is the center of a larger map, and just such interactions are possible further out. As to the generic
  term in the copy and paste text, if this isnt a variable misfiring, we will probably adopt something of the sort. Roustab is pretty good. Ive encountered a lot of fun ones like that myself in the past, and youre right theyd make good names for aliens or monsters. Another favorite I always had was creating a fantasy game where all the features were named after pharmaseudicals: the Benedrille forest, the Tylanol Mountains, the spam river, the city of Zolaf and so on and so forth. Just some of those names are so nonhuman:).Again, with YB a lot of the issue just comes in terms of scope. The new TKS expansion will be a different animal. Of course, for one thing, TKS already had possible infinite expansion in terms of length of career built into it. The other thing is were thinking of using a different map approach with this one, and if it works itll be a fun departure. One thing we try to do with
  any new project is to take what weve learned from other projects and apply it. Interceptor gave us a lot of our BGT vocabulary as far as menu-driven possibilities were concerned. In addition, Interceptor allowed us to explore a number of AI models and other issues that have come up since then. With Expanding Known Space, a strategy game that we have in development but have discontinued temporarily, it provided the map structure and way of displaying objects that led to TKS. A number of things we created specifically for TKS found their way into YB and YB itself provided a spring board for approaches to the next game. We freely admit that we are still learning. We accept advice and help from other developers who have more experience, and we listen to players who, also, often have more experience:) Further, we do try and learn and expand each time we take on a new project. One last comment: the pirates. Of your
  suggestions, Ive played in games that explored all three though I have to admit, I find Zombie Apocalypse games fairly boring myself. I ran one for a short mini campaign in my table top game, and while it was fun, I dont see the fascination personally. However, the pirates. One mini-game idea we had on the cards was a pirate game. However, after I revisited the idea, its one I think Id like to expand. It might see the light of day again after TKS expansion hits the market. space colonization would be good. one thing that gets on my whick is all the games Ive seen that deal with colonization are always pure number crunching based on an always steady progression, there is no need to change your stratogies for unforseen circumstances or alter priorities on the fly. What I mean is, you build a metal refinery, it just gets build after some time and your production of metal per tick goes up, there is no chance of it collapsing or of the wagons that transport the ore breaking down or any of the usual things youd expect to happen in a colony, indeed I really dislike the way in such games your population are just numbers who produce, you never have plagues or boardom. Furthermore, the alien planets are always the bloody same, theyre just generic place to build more buildings, no danger, no unexpected rewards,  and combine this with the fact that at any time you can have your expantion killed off by anyone who can numbe
 r crunch better than you can sinse usually such games have unrestricted pvp, and you will see why none of these games hold my interest, (was even trying one of these this morning). I also like pirates, pirates are cool! . Getting back to yellow Bonnet, one of my concerns in the game is that sinse your dealing with a town where all the buildings appear in the same place and the streets have a particular plan, your npcs and quests are always located in a similar area, meaning that once a person nows the map and what square is what its only a case of watching out for random hazards. one of the things Id like to see in a similar game with quests and the like is more randomness, eg, tracking someone down in the desert, or having a game with resource gathering where the various resources shifted around the map, eg one game the mine might be on 3-2
 , the next it might be on 8-8 which would change how you got there and how things worked out. And of course there are various possibilities with expanding character stats and combat a little, though there is plenty of different ways you could go with that.It also occurs to me that at the moment both tks and Yb use one single board with the items on it, where as you could have nested boards to create a world, for example an rpg game might have a large kingdom map, with squares of wilderness, a square for each town or dungeon then when you entered it you got a new map showing the inside of the town or dungeon, or a space game like tks might have a galaxy map with different systems, a system map with different planets, then even a planet map as well. Either way Ill look forward to seeing the tks update, I did suspect the game would be getting one even if just to work with guide dog, but gameplay expantions would be great, I also am still waiting eagerly for in
 terceptor which I very much suspect Ill be buying sinse turn based space combat is really my thing! .

Hey guys!I thought Id give an update since Ive disappeared for so long.As you may be aware, I posted under a different alias about 9 months ago because of a problem that was afflicting me. As you may have guessed, this problem has greatly interfered with my ability to work on Braillemon... well, not the problem itself but the depression and anxiety that came with me realizing it. I thought Id first apologize for not providing updates in the last few months. Ive been a complete mess. As it got more and more stressful I had to cut more and more out of my life: personal time was first to go, then Braillemon, then school, and it started to bleed into my professional life. I could barely keep myself together. Ive only very recently started to make any improvement in this area of my life, but I would like to say that YES, I am definitely getting better and I am finally overcoming the hump of getting over that kind of stuff, and I finally feel 
 like the professional help that Im getting is at least going a little somewhere. Its not going to go away but not hating yourself for something you cant stop is a good start. I really appreciate all of your patience through all of this.I know that its pretty unprofessional to let personal issues get in the way of things so much but yeah, Im sure you all understand. I really do appreciate all of your patience, especially since I know there are some weird bugs in the last version. I have been keeping up to date on my blog and I do read all the emails I receive and try to respond to all of them. And Im amazed that Braillemon has reached Japan! Thats awesome. That really means the world to me that Im reaching so many people with this project.I had tried to work intermittently on the project and I do still want to get at least all the way through Kanto done. Im like 60% there, I know I can do it. Thus far I have added so
 me new routes and I have most of Fuchsia city inserted and even the Safari Zone, but no Saffron yet. I think for the next release Im going to focus more on maps and less on story elements since realistically I dont have many more maps left - just Saffron, the surfing routes between Pallet Town and Fuchsia, Cinnabar and Victory Road/Indigo Plateau. Ill still of course have the whole hostage scenario at Saffron as well as the Game Corner thing inserted as well, but I may leave the rest to just be the basic collect the badges thing so that way I can get a release earlier. This release should still support your save files, I havent modified anything to prevent that.I also split the bag into sections like in Pokemon Gold/Silver and beyond, and a few minor changes.One thing I also want to do in order to prevent things like this happening again is to test more thoroughly. I think I have done a disservice by having quite a buggy product for

Well Lauren unfortunately when I investigated it turned out they arent looking for any new volunteer majistrates right now, though theyve taken my details in case they change their mind albeit they wont be making a decision until October. Well its been hot as heck up here as well, which hasnt been good, actually its way too warm, Reevers certainly not a fan despite liking the sun. Oddly enough to say my parents are in Nottingham so I grew up relatively close to Sherwood forest I have never been to center parks. I know people who have, but I havent myself, though it sounds ust the thing in this weather. My own final A level ball was lovely, I wore full tux and everything else and had a great time, seeing all my friends off. I think a prom in the american sence isnt just an end of school leaving do but also means some weerd thing about asking a person of the opposite gender to sort of go as escort/dat

With the new iOS update, Apple has integrated their new Apple Music.The idea behind this is for fans to follow artists more specifically on iTunes and keep up with new tracks and albums or releases. The feature also allows consumers to use their iCloud account as a way to add iTunes tracks to their libraries, and from there make available offline.I got a chance to look in depth at the new feature and have the following comments:While I enjoy Spotify very much-so, I do like the integration with the iOSs music app. Due to Apple Musics ability to make offline, it consolidates your music to one application as opposed to two or more.I also found out that you can indeed turn off this setting by going to the music section of settings (Settings  music  and click Show Apple Music, and verify it is off).On the flipside, I dont like the updated user interface of the music application, due to its integr
 ated Apple Music settings -- the app now has different tabs across the bottom relating to Internet services contrary to the old version, showing Radio, playlists, Artists, Songs, and More. Now, its all related to Apple Music. Im not positive if those tabs revert back to what we saw in iOS8.3 if Apple Music is turned off, but I will check it out sometime in the future.Ill hopefully make a demonstration of it sometime this week. LSDJ accessibility - A quick pet project

LSDJ is a tracker for the gameboy that allows people to write music fairly easily using the hardware of the gameboy.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPI1IBc7IEAMost people use LSDJ in an emulated form since obtaining the actual cartridges is quite expensive.LSDJ is a fairly simple program but because of the limitations of the gameboy, blind users would have to rely completely on memorization to know where they are located within a song, making it quite difficult to play. As a bit of a pet project, Im making my own custom emulator for LSDJ that will allow blind users to know more about what theyre actually doing in LSDJ so they can write their own music with this tool.I have gone through the RAM and determined the location important variables located in the RAM, such as the current page, the cursor position, and the locations of some data in the game. As a bit of a pet project this weekend Im going to be modifying an open source Java emulator to see if I can program a new cycle that checks these values in the RAM for changes and announces those changes when they occur. Fun fact - this is also how asynchronous tasks are handled by most software, such as pressing a key down.Based on what I extracted I should be able to write something that announces the following:- Current screen (for example, song screen or instrument screen)- Cursor location- Some Data, such as what references are used.This isnt a super serious project but yeah. Oh yeah, I forgot all about that crazy string concatenation in PHP.What I have is a dedicated server running Linux. I think youd have more problems with your Windows VPS approach than itd be worth anyway. First things first, youll be facing a meriad of accessibility challenges. Its not like you can just fire up Remote Desktop and use Jaws. You need a special kind of Jaws license to be able to use it in a remote desktop session and that license is pretty expensive. I dont know about the other screen readers, maybe theres one that works well with Remote Desktop. I know what Im away and have to fix something on my grandmothers machine I have to use team viewer and fumble around with memorized keypresses in order to get a Jaws Tandum session up and running. Alas, good luck getting your host to set all that up for you. Furthermore, many servers dont have audio output anyway. Even if you did manage to get it all working I
  dont see how itd be worth it. BGT just isnt the tool for a server. It would take relatively few clients to really slow it down especially on a small VM.Id be willing to provide you with some space, if youd like (email or private message me).If your folks would be able to pay something like $30 for a year Id be perfectly happy with that. I finished my freshman year this year and it was actually quite fun. Stressful, yes. Hard at times, yes. But Ive never had more fun at school than I have last year. If youre a very social person youll have little to no problem. And if youre smart, its a breeze. Just enjoy yourself and if you get into some clubs, like for me Im in marching band and on the drum line, you meet lots of fun people.

Downloaded and passed the tutorial, making my way past mako reactor 5.This makes me feel so nostalgic, and kind of resentful because I cant enjoy it at the full capacity a sighted person can, but being able to play it a bit is better than not playing at all.Has anyone tried contacting the developers to make it VO compatible? I would definitely pay just to have it work with VOMost of the time especially upgrading equipment is a challenge as I am completely blind and just press randomly until the confirm sound (from ff8) chimes lol.All in all great game, I hope the developers really really really really make it fully compatible with VO But for now, Im going to try to finish as much as I can without upgrading anything, so I can just use all the upgradeable materials for my ultimate weapon whenever I get one muahahahaha!!!Thanks for the tips bro

When there is no monster the button is set to void and set to be invisible. The monster image and name will always be labeled. You might be hearing the the battle is about to start because you are re reading the combat log which has history of all the text that has happened during the match. You should be able to hit the monster and it will stay the damage then monster name and percent of life left now. There are some glitches in voice over that cause it to be skipped sometimes when the speech speed isnt fast enough but I feel like it is quite a bit better than it was.

@Rory, when a choiceofgames title has a price tag it does indeed mean you get the complete game. You pay for it, no demo just buy and play. A couple such as Heros rise also have in ap purchices of extras, heros rise for example had a guide you could buy for 69 P (or one dollar), which told you optimum stratogy for getting the best score, but this is not common, and is optional to the game. If a choiceofgames or hosted games title has a price tag as far as I know paying that will be enough to play to the end.Id actually recommend that certainly with some games like zombie exodus you buy the extra chapters with the game, sinse theyre frankly speaking amazing! indeed, episode three is about three times as long as the first two, and episode 4 is even longer.Id be interested to know what your problem with in ap purchices is, sinse Ive bought several things in ap from the aforementioned heros rise guide (which was a ni

I am just going to make a quick post because unfortunately I only got the update late last night and literally was dropping my Iphone from tiredness . @Bryan, the battle is an overlay and there are some random buttons, however all the important information is there and is found easily. At the top youll find the monster image with a percentage, eg, toxic puddle %100, this is what you hit to target a creature when youve selected a skill. Around the middle are your skills to use, eg for a knight they would be attack, slash and rage. When you use a skill on yourself itll be used automatically, but if you use a skill like attack or slash youll need to target the creature to use it. You can couble tap and hold (make sure to hold for a couple of seconds), on each skill to find out what it does, ditto with potionnns.Benieth that are 
 your stats, and off to the right are your potions. Vo should speak what the enemy does, but the battle log is at the bottom that you can read. The only thing Ive not found how to do in battle is see your opponents stats or skills other than the percentage bar. The main screen Im liking very much with the labels. I was initially a little confused because the labels say path but dont indicate where your character is or which squares labeled path go where, however I have vertical navigation on my vo roter and with this its possible to find a location like the battle arena and flick up and down to get to the things around it. For future reference (particularly in an adventure game), perhaps labelling the path squares in a slightly more individualistic fashion might be helpful, eg path from shop to battle arena or path from battle arena to portal or maybe even someth
 ing more descriptive, but given that there are a limited number of objects and destinations in the battle arena it isnt an issue. What I particularly like is that Im now seeing stuff I didnt before, such as the vault on the dungeon or the material selecter for inventory (previously if I wanted to look at my materiials I had to go to crafting). and this is not to mention the battle screen and rerolling, as well as race info.So, great job there. Now please excuse me I have some critters who want slaying! .

Thanks for all the help! Glad I now at least have it working now. Now if only I could connect it to some audio source that isnt an HD TV. Apparently, the ps4s controller headphone jack doesnt work independently... sigh.

@orin, according to the e-mail I got from the audazzle mailing list the signup form then requires your e-mail address and isnt accessible which isnt good. @Audazzle, on the one hand Im very pleased the game has been released on Ios and I look forward to trying it. On the other I am extremely disappointed that a company committed to game access would publicize this announcement: If you are blind when you reach incarnation level the signup form is not compatible with voiceover. So in order to register, you may need to ask a trusted friend to help fill out the simple form (only email is required). Our latest development version that overcomes this issue has been submitted to Apple but it can take a long time to get an update approved.If a thing requires this level of sighted assistance it is not accessible, indeed it also buys in to a hole bunch of irritating cultural sterriotypes that I could list at le
 ngth.I must confess I was greatly disappointed by this particularly after reading audazzles commitment to access, and in all honesty I cannot countinance audiogames.net writing any news about the game until this issue is fixed, sinse we exist to support accessible games, not games requiring sighted assistance.Furthermore, to be brutally honest Im also disappointed that a form requiring e-mail was the stumbling block here. Ios is full of forms that require e-mail, look at the choiceofgames subscription forms as an example, heck there is a major form to fill in to setup a persons Apple Id right when you start with Ios.While I could understand some delay in access terms if this was say labelling a complex graphical interface, I am rather confused as to why this occurs with a form sinse it should by rights have been a very simple affair.Okay, Ill remove the ranting trousers now. I am extremely glad an update to 
 fix the problem is already in the works, and when the problem is! fixed Ill be pleased to try the game myself, which will also let me add it to our database, indeed please very much keep us notified of this and Ill post some news as soon as we get the fixed version.

I had no idea that Avast was accessible now.Are we talking truly accessible? Can you get to and change settings? Can you activate scans? Get things out of the quarantine if necessary?If it takes a bit of Jaws cursoring, thats no problem. Even if NVDA works better with it, that would be OK too.As for removing it, I think your best course of action would be to use something like Revo Uninstaller, then choose the force uninstall option. This bypasses the actual inaccessible installer. Even so, Ive heard of cases where even this would not completely remove it, so I would be careful.Im just trying to get an idea of whats really going on with these programs. And, as I said, who knows what will change when they are updated?

So guys, I have done a complete character purge, it had to be done and there is a new rule. Any character name that you create must have a capital firstname, cabital last name. JackPeet, BeeJosh, SamTupy, LucasBrown, VicRensworth, the possibilities are endless. It does not have to be your real name, and you arnt forced into RP, but you are now expected to create propper character names We will be lenient on this at first, but we will start getting stricter on it. There is fair warning. Admins will warn you at least 5 times but then it could result in a ban. Also if we notise you are doing nothing but running around killing you will get banned, too. Thank you for your understanding.

At RTR Assassin,If you get the G930, make sure you download the updated firmware. I have the G430, which is the wired version of that headset. When I received it, people were complaining that my audio was cutting out whenever I spoke. It turns out that this had been a known issue that Logitech took a long time to fix. But there is firmware now that fixes the problem. I believe I read that the firmware update applies to the G930 as well as the G430, so just be aware of that if you decide to get it.Im told now that my audio sounds great, and, with the firmware update, there is a noise cancellation checkbox that you can disable, located in the enhancements tab in your recording properties for the device.Other than that, I love this headset for both gaming and music. The bass response is excellent, and its very clear.

I dont usually like to hijack threads, but I have a question about that notification in the system tray. Is there some way I can get rid of it? I have no plans to upgrade, at least not until it has been out for a good while, and I can get a good balance of positive and negative reviews, from both a sighted and blindness perspective.But I am really sick of seeing that icon. Luckily, it barely takes up any system resources. But Ive tried to get rid of it with no success. When I hide the notification, it comes back upon reboot. When I end the process in task manager, the icon remains in the system tray. Ive ended both gwx.exe and TrustedInstaller.exe.My boyfriend said that he heard there was a Windows update you can uninstall to make it go away, but he wasnt sure of the exact name of it. Is this true, and if so, what is it called?
