Actually I don't like too extensive and diverse crafting-system in games, (like in Survive The Wild for example), I prefer when it's simplified to "combine 2 objects" level. (like in Dead Rising sequel, or in my newest favorite, Prometheus)I am more fond of diversity in available options, choices, alternatives, and varieties.I like encountering, and interacting with so far unexperienced game-elements, true, but crafting somehow always remained out of my interest.

Problem with wavent is Google has access to ridiculous amounts of compute power, probably more than all of the world's supercomputer's combined, allocated to Wavenet. Unless they manage to get those system resources down, it would take days to generate utterances. It wouldn't be a good idea to partner with some tts that big.

Using the "friendliness" of the town as an excuse seems absurd. There seems to be a number of organizations that have locations in North Carolina that offer Guide Dog services and training that you can apply for through their websites, such as the previously mentioned [Guiding Eyes], [MIRA], and [Southeastern Guide Dogs]. I've also come across some NC legal resources regarding accessibility and Guide Dogs that may be useful, [Disability Rights NC] and [Animal Law NC].

Re: microsoft-espeak-forked tts

I'm not necessarily ok with that. What I was saying is that would give Microsoft a solid tts framework to work with, but it would lead nowhere fast if two dominants in the field tried to strike a partnership. It would likely ultimately result in one of the companies, more likely Nuance, getting bought out. And Microsoft buying Nuance would be really, really bad, that's putting it lightly. But at the same time, I don't think tts creation is their calling, so what I was basically saying was they need help from a solidly run tts. A division comparable to that of Google's Deepmind, the people developing Google's Wavenet speech synthesis. A division within Microsoft free to experiment. Of course, I highly doubt Ms would actually do this, because Google's been all about experimentation from the word go, unlike MS.

Re: A Question About Guide Dogs

When we refer to schools, we're not talking about your high school or college. We're referring to a training facility which breeds and trains dogs. The only US school I know of that operates in Canada is The Seeing Eye. Guide dogs *typically* come from one of a handful of training schools across the country. The Seeing Eye, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Guide Dog Foundation, Guiding Eyes... there are many more. It sounds like you're working with some kind of private or independent organization. I've never heard of one of the bigger schools telling anyone their town isn't compadible. My dog is trained in country work at any rate, so she could handle a lack of sidewalks. Smaller organizations may have their own rules. What is the name of this place if you're comfortable sharing? Do they train for guide work specifically?

Re: A Question About Guide Dogs

@shotgunshell, when I say "school" I don't mean your actual school, I mean a guide dog training school, ie, an organization  trains guide dogs and matches them with blind people. apparently there are several in the states, so goodness knows why your going to Canida. Indeed I wonder if this business about "your town isn't setup for a dog" is the entire truth as I said, the hole situation seems a bit strange, but you need to handle it like an adult, find out the facts and then either argue accordingly or go somewhere else. I will say over here generally if you apply for a guide dog and don't get there is usually a dam good reason, eg, an old person who is unwell and couldn't take care of a dog, or a partner who has a fir allergy, or a majorly serious mental illness such as the dog, and likely the person as well would be in danger, and even in these circusmtances the guide dogs association would still provide things li
ke mobility training if they could and likely might change their in the future if a person's circumstances change. As I said I don't know how it is in the states, but certainly my lady's experiences with the seeing eye were pretty positive.

Me: Alive.Therapist: So... have you considered suicide? Me: Still no. I can't accomplish much if I'm dead.Therapist: Some people think of it as a way out. Mein Not interested: Therapist: Well, we're not getting anywhere' so maybe you should stop coming. And so i did: The others were much more boring. There was one who seemed relatively good at actually figuring people out and coming up with solutions, but my health insurance got cut off for a couple months during that period, and so it ended. So, yeah, therapist 3 is enough to convinc

This week's missions are here. Lets get started.-Missions:-1: Special Move Sensation: For this mission, you'll want to set the round settings on 5 to streamline things a bit. On the Kanzuki Estate stage, there are a couple of ninjas in the background. One in the center slightly to the right, and another on the far left corner of the stage. You'll need to trigger their animations with a knockdown. Knocking down with a special move of some sort isn't required, but does keep with the mission's theme. Some say you need to trigger the stage transition in the far left corner to receive the 5,000 FM. We have completed it without doing so, but this time around I did happen to activate the stage KO. After this, you'll need to win the match. During your victory animation, 3 ninjas will be sliding down a rope in the background, triggering the 5,000 FM award.2: Perform a normal throw 10 times: This m
issions is very straightforward. All you have to do is land 10 normal throws in an actual match setting (not training) and you'll get 100 FM.3: Use the Replay Search feature on CFN: Another quick and easy mission. Head to the CFN, fire up the Replay Search, go through with an actual search and you'll get 500 FM.4: Clear Trials #01 - #05 consecutively: For this week's final mission, simply jump into Trial Mode and complete the first five trials for any character without quitting. Doing so will net you another 1,000 FM.-Happy Street fighting guys.

Re: Return Of The King multilanguage version released

I think viper forest or snake forest or whatever it translates as now gives more experience than skeleton cave. Last time I was in there, skeleton cave was for around level 10.As for the lag spikes, it seems to depend on what time of day you play. Somehow I doubt there will end up being a server in the United States, since that would mean they would have to maintain two servers and two different copies of the game.

Re: Accessible Android and iOS game: Crafting Kingdom

Hello Mikrima and all,I've mainly been posting to this topic on the Apple Vis thread. As I use the same name here as there, you may or may not recognize me.I usually play Crafting Kingdom at home at the end of my day, about an hour or so before bedtime. Somehow the background music for this game has become a very lulling sound, and its now associated with a very sleepy time right before bed for me.But, When I play this game anywhere else, or any other time of the day, even at work, I begin to get very sleepy? Isn't this crazy? So my idea is to ask if the dev team in a future update can allow us the option to change the main theme background music for Crafting Kingdom.I'd like to go a step further and ask if maybe in a "down the road" update, y'all can add sounds for other events in the game also.I realize Crafting
Kingdom has larger issues to address before any sound changes can be implemented. But I thought to see what others thought of my silly situation, and to put the background music idea on your possible to do list. Thanks for considering my suggestion.Great game, keep up the teriffic work you're all doing!

Hello.Well thanks so far, you've given me some interesting stuff to think about.@Dark, the manamon thing sounds interesting, I might do that. I'll have to contact Aaron Baker and have him give me a list of manamon, or playthrough manamon myself, which is no problem, it just might take me a little while.@Ammericandad, that is an interesting idea. I'm probably not ready to tackle something like this yet, but I'll research this while I continue to learn programming. I'm wondering though, how would something like this be useful to educating children? I love kids, and have considered making children's games, because I was really inspired by blindfold games. I would be interested to hear more of your thoughts on this.@Ashley, if your talking about a program that produces music, I couldn't do that without charging money. I would have to use softsynths (software synthesizers) and I would most likely have to pay to use those in a p

That way I don't have to build everything from the ground up. I think once I get more comfortable with programming, I'll see what I can do about audacity.@Draco, that sounds like a great starting point thanks!@Phil the pong idea sounds perfect for me. I'll give this a try thank you. Btw, I love your games, especially super dogs bone hunt! I was wondering, what happened to the pcs games website? I used to go on there all the time but it's gone now are you going to bring it back up again? Woops, nevermind forget about that I just went on pcs and it came up lol.

Hmmm, well I'm afraid I still don't know where in the states you are exactly since I don't know which state the code nc refers to. AAccording to my lady there are different schools in the states, she went to the seeing eye when she was 17, so maybe applying to a different school? I also wonder perhaps if it was a matter in your application. One thing which guide dogs over here in Britain will do, is make absolutely %100 sure that your able to take care of the dog and that the dog won't be in some sort of trouble. They actually state in their statutes that you cannot have a dog if suffering a severe mental illness.I'd suggest myself that you examine  the reasons they gave for you not having a dog perhaps consider trying another school. On the matter of mobility, I will say generally you yourself need to be fairly good before! you have a dog, after all there is no having a dog help you avoid obstacles if you get yo
urself run over .This isn't usually a matter of adaptations in the environment so much though as it is a matter of your own personal skills with mobility, learning landmarks etc, indeed that is a case you might make either to this school or another if you decide to reapply.

Hi Dark.[[wow]] smugglers 3 for 2 days? That's pretty good. Sounds like a better way to spend your time than I did. When I was going through my major depression, all I did was listen to tv shows all day. I must have watched hundreds of hours of ncis, law and order, House M.D, various sitcoms and things. That was my whole day if you can believe that. I would only come out of my room for commercial breaks because I couldn't stand being away from the tv too long. Looking back on that, I was a mess. You're right though, pure chocolate does help so does exercise. I love to do walking and running and I always get a rush from that.

I can tell the difference between a sidewalk and a parking lot, and a dogs senses are amplified so they can definitely tell the difference. Re: Monthly chat April 2017

My dad was a community psychiatric nurse for most of his working life, thus I'm afraid hearing the knee jerk bad reactions about psychiatric meds is a little odd to me. One thing I will say though, is firstly no form of medication is perfect. You can't take it and expect to be fine. At most the best that a medication for something like depression will do is ease a degree of the symptoms that you can actually function in a semi normal way or so that therapy such as counselling might be affective or so that you don't actively do yourself injury and can do things like eg, get out bed and get dressed.Generally the affects of different drugs will vary according to the person and in different ways and it's usually a good idea to get a professional to monitor things rather than just take a bunch of things yourself, indee d in the uk even to get a prescription for a psychiatric medication you'd need to see a doctor first, and said doctor will usually
monitor how things are working out and refer you to a mental health specialist if necessary. On the therapy issue I'll also firstly that different therapists can vary hugely. The difference between say what a psychodynamic therapist will do or a humanist might do are pretty extreme, likewise a therapist may or may not have a compatible personality with you or actually know what he/she is talking about. unfortunately dealing with depression is usually a case of mostly trying different things to see what can actually help, or at least reduce the negative affects. Some other more practical things include physical exercise, chocolate (no not sugar, but actual high coco chocolate, it's a natural serotonin booster), and also doing something completely cerebral with little to no emotional content, eg special logic puzzles, resource management games, crosswords  etc. I will not give any details but I will say I suffered depression myself, though in
my case it was a little more complicated and could get pretty extreme at times.I once had a point in 2007 where I played Smugglers 3 for nearly  40 straight hours, occasionally dropping out for an hour or so of lseep, simply because calculating how much prophet I'd make transporting 30 units of robots from mars to Sirius was a way avoiding where my head was at that point.

2017-04-14 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : jack via Audiogames-reflector

Re: microsoft-espeak-forked tts

@DracoSelene89 That's precisely what I'm saying. Microsoft hates open source software yet they pretty much welcome it into windows 10. How do you explain that? And Ray, ok I'll agree with you on that. As much as post 11 was a slam on the prerecorded samples, I'll agree that the voices themselves definitely sound good for what they are. Responsive? No, unless you're using the mobile voices, which definitely do sound better and are also available directly through an nvda addon that exposes nvda to the mentioned exploit to get the voices. The latency and the prerecorded samples are pretty much the only problems I have. with the voices. I just think the prerecorded samples are just not the way to go for synth creation, because 1 they don't support pitch/speed change, or at least not as effective as most synths. It's like a non-server dependent version of speechhub, in a sense that the most used phrases are essentially loaded into memory. Now don'
;t get me wrong, I like Speech Hub, but you'll notice in some instances, if you change the pitch and the speed of a voice after hitting some keys, next time you hit those keys you may be getting the samples you heard before. That's what I'm talking about when I say it's all preloaded into memory. Except for windows 10, that's always how it is, they're just loaded into the framework, permanently. The actual synthesis units are more than satisfactory, but the samples, not so much. Then again, tts is not Microsoft's department, and most probably wouldn't care in the least. Which is why I do agree, Microsoft partnering with Nuance would be a good idea despite Nuance's track record of borderline unethical domination of the market, but it would really give Microsoft a solid synthesizer to work with, allowing them to focus their efforts on accessibility without worrying about the speech implementation, so long as the implementation was just as s
olid. And no matter how much you try, just know that espeak will never sound like eloquence. You may get the algorithm if you try hard enough, but keep in mind that most parametric synths use vocoders. Don't believe me? Turn some of the dials down to 0 on the nv speech player, and you'll notice you'll hear straight tones. That's exactly how it works. The phonemes are ran through signal processing and matched to the vocoder's processing as well. Normal speech would be samples as the modulator with tones as the carrier. A whisper voice consists of the same phonemes as the modulator, and a white-noise waveform as the carrier. Eloquence's signal processing is different to that of other synths, so even if you managed to get the algorithm pitch perfect, you'd never be able to imitate the true sound of Eloquence due to the different signal processing. It's akin to trying to make Espeak sound like a Votrax.

Re: Survive the Wild!

Yes it happened to me, you just have to redownload it. Also, Akilor and Smoke: I would suggest you to use Eloquence during recording the fights, please. And in American accent English. ESpeak gives a headache and doesn't make a motivation to listen to be honest. It's nice that the second fight will be easier, probably even each team will have a special recording. Although it would take you time to post them all on BSG, but hey, it's doable and easier right? good luck, hoping to see you all at the 22th

I don't think Microsoft will do it, but I also don't think it's ridiculous. E-Speak is a fast and reliable TTS engine, unlike the Microsoft voices, which lag a lot and don't stop speaking when they're supposed to on some occasions.

Re: microsoft-espeak-forked tts

Yep, pretty much everything has been said that needs to be said. Microsoft has no interest in open source products or Android. Why you would think they would take such a project is beyond me.I do have to respectfully disagree with Jack on how horrible their TTS is. While it's true that their singing synth was supposed to be really cool and was shelved before release, and while it's true that many including myself consider Anna a disgrace to synthesizers everywhere, and while letters and numbers sound like crap with David, I still hold the opinion that Microsoft's TTS is better now than it's ever been. The old XP Sapi voices were just plain annoying for me to listen to, especially the SAPI 5 versions. Anna was even worse. But David actually has some clarity. Sure, the voices are still not the best. Sure, the pauses are too great, the voices are still laggy, they speed up poorly, they may have pronunciation issues, they may do odd things at times... But you
know what? Most people who will be using Sapi voices aren't going to care about those things as much as we do. They just want something they can understand, and the current voices are better than anything else Microsoft has released before. I think the voices from Win8 onwards are well-suited for lighter TTS needs. There are additional mobile voices on Win10 that with a little registry tweaking, can, so far as I've heard, be unveiled. I haven't tried to use them myself, but I've heard them elsewhere and some of them are imho somewhat better than the default voices. If the TTS and its platform were improved to address the needs of screen reader users, then I would consider using them full-time if I didn't have Eloquence. If that fails, Microsoft could just buy Vocalizer like everyone else seems to be doing. I just hope Vocalizer wouldn't get a laggy Sapi incarnation. One might say, "Oh it's Microsoft so they're gonna screw it up,
t; but I'd like to be positive. Their TTS and accessibility has taken a step in the right direction, and maybe it will continue to do so. So they haven't caught up to Wavenet? So what? That's not even a working prototype yet so far as I know, and is only in the experimental stage. To be honest, with a little work I believe their TTS could be adequate enough for even our use. If any resources go to improving the TTS, I'd vote that they should go to building off of what they have already done, rather than suggest a ridiculous proposition like forking ESpeak.

Re: Ideas for things for me too develope?

If you're serious about going for a large project, a truly accessible audio editer would be huge.A lot of different programs are usable, but - at least in my experience - require functional eyeballs for sizeable portions of the work. Things like redrawing portions of the audio waveform to get the most accurate edits seem to be entirely visual, for example. An editor is an absolutely massive project though, so if you're just starting out, I'm with the rest of this thread - find something small (Dark's idea is a great one) and work up to bigger projects.I'd expect that something like an audio editer would take multiple years and a lot of background research to complete.

Re: Your Experience with Sleeping Patterns

Paddy, that's pretty much me exactly, including the part where I keep getting accused of deliberately staying up all night.Melatonin is somewhat helpful, but the problem is that my cycle is shorter than normal, not longer, so I need more help staying awake than going to sleep. As soon as people acknowledge that non24 can go the opposite direction and make it legal to prescribe modafinil for non24, I'll let everyone know. But, in the US, doing anything medical for non24 is a horrible hassle. The only medication approved for non24 is really expensive (as low-incidence conditions tend to get), medicaid doesn't like paying for it, a sleep study is required and sleep studies exist to sell CPAPs, and to get to that point you have to have a doctor who hears a blind person complaining about sleep problems and thinks "Oh, yeah! I heard about Hetlioz! Think we should try that?", rather than "probably some dumb kid staying up all night on snapchat
t;.But I just found out that, apparently, Modafinil is approved for OSA (obstructive sleep apnea), which you more or less are guaranteed to get diagnosed with if you do a sleep study. Last I had heard, Modafinil was only approved for narcolepsy and airline pilots. (Also, they added workshift sleep disorder to the conditions for which Modafinil can be prescribed.)

Re: Your Experience with Sleeping Patterns

Hey folks,I am struggling with screwed up sleeping patterns eversince Winter 2011, don't ask me how it came; hell, I don't know! I think it began when I went to bed as usual, but instead of sleeping between 6-8 hours, I woke up early in the morning between 2 and 3AM, unable to catch any more sleep. As consequens, I became terribly tired during the day and I couldn't keep myself awake anymore. In the evening, I am usually pretty awake again, but if I went to sleep anyway, I must admit that I didn't have any problems falling asleep real soon. Still, after 3 or 4 hours, I have the same troubles I already mentioned above and, therefore, on and on goes the cycle. The first two years I was fighting with it, nobody believed me that I had a sleeping problem. Instead, they thought I just stay awake too long in the evening and intentionally don't get enough sleep, which was, of course, not the case. The tiredness I experience is a different one than a normal tiredness. It's like a very harsh fatique you couldn't really get rid of. You desperately try to keep yourself awake, but at a certain point, you are defeated by the exhaustion. It feels like an anasthesia: From one moment to the other, you are back awake and you don't have any idea what went on in between. Normally, I only drift away for 5 up to 15 minutes, but it also happened once in a lesson that I fell asleep, and woke up three quarters of an hour later. Holy hell, you can't imagine how happy I was that nobody realised and nobody asked me anything during my nap!I am not proud of it, and I found out that I can resist a little longer during the day when I go to sleep later in the night (at 2 or 3AM, for example). Come on, I only sleep up to four hours anyway and I have to get up at 7, so I will at least be awake on time and don't have to struggle with getting back to sleep. Screw it, it doesn't work anyway! And if it works, it is usually one hour before I have to get up and if the alarm goes, I have extreme trouble getting out of bed.My teachers and classmates didn't take me serious, and so didn't my parents, which was quite depressing. The only one who believed me the whole time was my psychologist whom I consulted during that time. She also told me about this Melantonin, that is been automatically produced by our body when our eyes don't catch sun light or so. Since some of us are not able to catch any light, it is more likely that the production of melantonin is iregular and screwed up, causing this sleeping issue. In this case, the production of Melantonin can be steared by taking certain pills. But that's just one explanation... As we already heard above from other folks here, the issue is similar, but based on other criteria. At least, after three years struggling with my sleeping issue, everybody finally started to take me serious because they heard of issues similar to non-24. Although this doesn't really get me further, it is a good feeling that all the people finally stand behind me and understand my trouble I have.Back in 2015, there was a time where I had a few hearing losses. I took Betavistin to cure it, which worked just the way I wanted it to, luckily. But, as always, there was a stupid side-effect involved: It speeded up my blood pressure very quickly, and made me tired even quicker. Friends and classmates told me that I was very quiet during that time, and it was difficult having conversations with me, because I either reacted slower or It took multiple attempts to make me react on something.I also had to take Prednisone once, due to an infection I had, so I know the side-effects as well (this unhealthy look, for instance). Plus, whereas I have had no appetite during the infection, I had to make sure that I always had something to eat with me or nearby, otherwise I would have turned into a zombie, getting angry pretty quickly. I could also more likely motivate myself to do things, and I didn't fall asleep at school, which surprised my teachers for a little while. When I was finally done with taking prednisone, the unhealthy look went, and so came my sleeping problems again after a while. In short: it's a hell of a circle we are all in! A couple of months ago, I read in a blind-related newspaper about some faculties in Germany that began specialising in things like non-24, and they have extra blind-dedicated methods. I consulted the faculty in Münster and argued with my parents until my mother finally insisted. So we went there last week, and they gave me an actimeter, which looks like a watch that you can wear around your wrist. I have to wear it for two weeks, so that they can work with the results to diagnose what is wrong with me, eventually medicating it properly. At the moment, my sleeping pattern is pretty well. I get tired in the evening, sleep 6-8 hours and stay awake the whole day. But that's just one of the phases where everything is going well, so I am already expecting the next horror

Eh. I was adamantly against psych meds for the longest time. Then the longest time stretched on way too flippin' long and I decided I needed to slay the Demon Lord of Sloth and Despair more than I needed to maintain my no mind-altering substances streak. Here is a guide to things that sometimes help if you're depressed. Half of it isn't actionable for me, but that might or might not apply to you. What I've tried, medication-wise:Focalin (basically super ritalin). Because I am more worried about the Sloth part than the Despair part, personally. This may or may not have helped, but I wouldn't recommend it generally. There's a trick to using this class of drug effectively, and that does me little to no good. And, if you're severely depressed, it can make things much worse. Basically, it works by restricting your ability to

Umm. I have no idea if this did anything. That is a common reaction--the patient doesn't notice anything, but their family/friends notice a change. It also gets a bad wrap because some people flip out and kill themselves after starting on it. The consensus is that, since it takes a while to take effect, it's getting them better enough to pull off a suicide attempt, but not better enough to not be suicidal, and sufficient precautions for the first month or so are a very good idea. Personally, though, I find Prozac boring and pointless and I quit after half a year because I didn't feel like it was making enough of a difference. In retrospect, I might have been mistaken.Wellburtrin (buproprion). 150mg didn't seem to d
o much, but missing a couple days when I forgot to refill the prescription was awful. 300mg actually did help. It's basically the opposite of Prozac--SSRIs have sort of a reputation for muting emotions, whereas buproprion enhances them to comical levels. And by comical, I mean I went looking for my copy of Mortal Kombat 4 (to re-rip the soundtrack, because my previous rip is inaccessible behind ancient DRM), found my copy of Sonic3K instead, and for some reason got excited to the point of having to actively try not to start making happy noises. So... yeah, that's weird. I don't usually mind that, though. I do kinda mind how little it takes to get me shouting at my computer .The big thing to watch out for with buproprion is seizure risk. It gives me these annoying ticks whenever I'm tired or stressed, but hasn't gone into full-blown seizure terri
tory. How big a risk there is varies from person to person, however, and other than a past history of seizure-like activity, I don't know of a way to predict it.I hear good things about Modafinil, other than the fact that it's illegal without a prescription in the US and Canada, and with a prescription it's still ~5times the cost of importing it from India. It sounds like prescription criteria have loosened, recently, else I might well have decided that it was worth importing anyway, like, literally right before I came here today. It's not an antidepressant at all, but a wakefulness promoter, where the only side-effect of note is a very rare risk of bad rash. Rare enough that I feel like mentioning it at all is misleading. Considering that my sleep cycle is unstable and I've heard people repeatedly link sleep disruptions to depression and executive function issues, and it's less of a hassle to obtain than Hetlioz (the non24 drug), it so
unds worth a shot, but, again, my situation is not congruent with your situation.(Also talk therapy does nothing for me because I am a weird space alien and therapists are ordinary Earthlings, or something. T.T)

I actually agree with you to an extent on exploring and seeing new things, indeed that is one thing I do like in manamon, hearing all the different creatures and getting their descriptions. IN terms of text though, I will say I've played too many games bare bones one line differences in like your black wolf, brown wolf, grey wolf, white wolf example to find those sorts of changes interesting if the colour is literally all that changes and the wolves themselves don't react differently or require anything different from me to deal with. Indeed I was recently playing a mud entitled 7th which you might actually like, but found myself losing interest precisely because! everything in the game has one line descriptions, though if that sort of thing doesnt' b
other you 7th plane might be another mud you'd enjoy since it is pretty much all" free form exploration and the activities, crafting and stuff to discover is great, (see the topic in new releases).

Many thanks for all those useful informations Dark, now I can finally configure that VIP-client the way it suits me the most!As for the exploration matter, unlike to those, who primarily aim to progress, and level-up during it, I generally like to explore to encounter new, so far unseen, unexperienced things, things different from those, which I already encountered so far.(even if they differ only slightly from the already known elements, they are already worth the time, and efforts spent on finding them)For example, if I met a brown, a grey, and a black wolf so far, merely running into a white one is already an interesting, or even exciting event for me.The same goes for buildings, like stores or shops, finding those, which sell different categories of items from the already known ones, or just different variations of an already known item-type, is enough for me to spend a long time with the game, and very likely gett addicted to it even!So we can
say, that I usually don't explore for progress, but for the sake of...sheer exploration.Normally, if that is also rewarded with a progress, it's fine by me, but I won't mind much even if it is not.(as long I am not limited, or restricted while doing it)I hope this helps you totally realizing my exploration-attitude, along with my preferred game-expectations.

Re: Ideas for things for me too develope?

GuitarmanHow about developing a game like Pong? The first video game. You play against the computer that randomly misses the blip. You would need a blipping sound going left to right and a change in its frequency based on how high or low the blip is on the screen. Your racket sound would also have to change based on where it is positioned. If your racket matches the frequency of the blip when it reaches your edge of the screen, then you get to knock it back to your opponent. Most audio games that try to play like Pong turn this function 90 degrees so you move left and right at the bottom of the screen rather than up and down like the original game.

Re: second life

Hi.So, to answer some questions. Second life is a life simulator by linden Labs. You can do what ever you like in this game, due to it's comunity building up on it.When you first create a character, you're avatar just looks like a ball of light, with no proportions or what so ever. You can be a human, animal or what ever you like. Because everything is customisable, it' s not a game, it's kinda hard to explain. In my eyes it's not worth the efford. Object often have strange names, you don't have many accessibility options, you often need help from a sighted person to go to places. The rooms you are standing in are not described, I mean the models of the rooms, like the description, what's in it, the colors of the objects and so on, you need someone sighted helping you. There is a place called virtual ability, which is a hub for disabled people, but for someone like me who likes to rome around the world on my own and discover
stuff, this is not something I will try again.Greetings Moritz.

Re: audiogames.net whatsapp group?

Technically, a WhatsApp group always works, if there are people willing to create- and administrate one. Additionally, more admins could be nominated by the group creator, but that's music of the future, I guess.I personally don't have anything against WhatsApp groups, but I usually first monitor it from a distance by, for instance, asking people who is in there, how the traffic is like, etc. Depending on these criteria, I usually decide whether I'd like to join or not. Depending on how things develop concerning the WhatsApp group, I will consider joining the group.I would not post a public link into this forum to join the group, because this might reach the wrong people and we are not able to properly administrate the group anymore.Still, a WhatsApp is an interesting idea and I keep monitoring it.

Oh yes, and I still have an issue regarding the VIP-client.Luckily it's nothing serious, but still slightly annoying.Namely, it seems it has a game named Valhalla attached to it by default, and a user named Fred Valhalla associated with it, so that each time I run the client, that game automatically starts for that user, instead of just starting "blank", idle that is, (or eventually linked to Prometheus instead), which is the way I would prefer, because the Valhalla-registration-warning-alerts for that Freddy guy, are recently starting to go to my nerves!First of all, I have no idea why that game, and that user were attached to that client at all, which I downloaded from the GTM website, following a link given here in some MUD-game-description, (no, it wasn't Valhalla), and as second, I would really like to finally get rid of that annoyance, by every single start of the client.!So I will welcome any hints, suggestions, assisting mein
