I use most because those with the necessary skills won't do this for 30 bucks. Go sit on your idea, learn to program yourself, and maybe, in 5 or so years, come back. You're setting yourself up for failure as it currently stands

I am bringing his age into this again to highlight a point: he may simply lack the maturity you wish him to have. Is that bad? Let me pose a question to you: Were you so "wise" when you were young? If so, good for you. I hope you realize that few (if any) obtain said level of intelligence and wisdom at that age.TLDR: If you wish to provide feedback, do so for the actual product rather than its developer. Stop raising futile points about somebody's character which can only lead to conflict. In short, be civil.

connor142's post is the most constructive one in this topic. I don't know Tunmi. Based on his topics and projects, a lot of the sentiments here are valid. However, there is a more appropriate way to express your displeasure than continuously taking a shit on the guy (yes, that is *exactly* what you are doing). If you don't like his games or website or what have you and cannot communicate your dislike in a clear and civil manner, nothing forces you to reply. Move on. Pointing out someone's mistakes over and over only causes problems later on, such as this topic diverging from its original purpose (the traceback in the game).

I gave Connor and Dark a + 1 for their thoughts, both summarize my opinion about the game pretty well. It boils down to this: CR is grate at low levels, okay in the mid hundreds, and downright boring at later parts of the game. My character is rank twelve hundred and then some, and if I want to level him up I'd have to go Star Coring, which sounds super exciting but all it is is typing "core left" "core right" "core continue" 200 or so times. No, I'm not kidding, that is how much it takes to fill up twenty cargo bays -- the amount required to make the activity worth it. CR was fun... until it wasn't. Every time there was an event, it boiled down to "There is a fleet of enemy ships incoming," which naturally meant that there was a military ship going out there and you spend an hour typing the same commands over and over and over and over. Oh, also, guess what? You can't go out there in your citizen combat ship because you'd either get shot down by your allies because they thought you were the enemy or by the enemy races themselves who always seem to have technology powerful enough to wipe you out yet weak enough for the military to handle. After seeing 4 or so of those with little variation yours truly had enough.I agree: Newbie experience is very welcoming and the players do their utmost best to make you feel at home... until you aren't a newbie anymore. Then you either fit in or get out and there is no room for in between.I wish that I could write more, but time does not permit me to do so. Oh well. Later, perhaps.

Interesting that the dungeon map is accessible on IOS, I looked at it and couldn't figure out where everything was in relation to me. I.e, I saw a room with a hint, but could not figure out how far I was away from it. I also struggled with finding my hero in time to send a command to them, since the map often does not place your cursor on the party's location. I would be interested in some pointers on how to use the damn thing, since I admit having an active sighted player makes dives a more pleasant experience.

If you wish to combine the two mods, then you must create a mod that is a hybrid of the two packs. The reason why the game gives an error is because one mod doesn't know about the new unit. You must copy the definition of said unit into the mod folder.

Right, but sailing, unlike dungeon exploration,  doesn’t provide you with any information as to where your hero is, Which is a problem for me because in dungeons I am able to find treasures pretty reliably based on room descriptions.  I wonder how upset they would be if I build a bot of sorts to do it for us... Anybody have English contact for them? Worth writing and explaining the issue, seeing the response  at least

I have not touched this game in a couple of years, and coming back to it yielded a surprise: My hero built an ark! What a productive fellow he is, right? No, it does not. Most of it can be simplified to writing triggers, though. Figure out your text, figure out what’s changing, figure out what to do if it changes, and make sounds work with the change. That’s really all there is to a soundpack. The hardest part is writing flexible triggers.

My analogy was not to draw a comparison between getting errors and fixing them, but rather the lack of experience possessed by the applicant. In my analogy, somebody who has barely any training is applying to an extremely prestigious restaurant and will be denied. In this situation, you're bighting off more than you can chew, especially when considering switching to Python. You may have done greater projects than what I have described, but if they are anything like the open-source games from Mason, they will turn into a big and hard to maintain mess and will eventually lead to frustration by you and the community because of the inability to expand on what you have written.That being said, you do you. I am trying to share my experience in bighting off a lot more than what I could chew, but it seems like you are deadset in your ways. Just don't expect us to hold your hand for most of your attempt. For that matter, don't expect anything great to come out of this during your first trial.Also, forgive me, but I have little material to work with when considering your experience.

I have never cooked anything in my life, but I’m sure I will learn on the job. What’s that? Food poisoning? Improper preparation of ingredients? Oh, it’s just me learning. Disregard that, please. What do you mean you’re going to sue me? For what?  Starting on a huge project is pretty much guaranteeing failure. You don’t have to give up the idea, but start a lot smaller. Make a game window. Allow the user to close the game window. Make a simple counter within your game window. Speak a message or two.  Make a basic menu. Refactor that menu. I’m sure you get the gist of this.  I would even start smaller at his level. Print the result of adding two numbers. Figure out how to declare variables. Convert your addition into a function. Stuff like that. Projects fail because of the lack of components necessary to pull them off successfully.  You encouraging him to follow his dreams essentially forces him to commit proverbial suicide. It’s like trying to do calculus without knowing basic algebra, a very short-lived endeavor.

Again, I urge simplicity. You are not realizing the scope of the project you wish to undertake. While being a neat idea, it is unreasonable to expect for somebody so new as yourself  to make this. Furthermore, the project will most likely cause you to lose interest in programming because you will realize the sheer difficulty of such task. I never had issues with that part. The idea is to dash through the cameras as they are turned in the other direction. So, consider this:If there is a camera at (341, 29) and you are to the right of it, wait until it turns left before dropping to its height and then run forward towards it. Eventually you will hear a drop, which you want to take, but for safety's sake, make sure to stop moving forward as soon as you fall. I don't remember if the cameras have a vertical range, but you don't want to find that out in that area. Keep doing this for the rest of them. You are always going to drop onto the camera's level on the opposite side from where they are.To those who are encouraging distruction, I hope you know that if you get spotted in 21-3 the door disappears.

I have tried looking up information about the game, but the only thing I could really find was a rough textual descriptions of the gameplay. Could somebody explain what the game is, how does one play it, and what is different between it and the runners we currently have? Thank you.

I actually like the concept Aaron came up with. I just think it's too bloated and drawn out in a few places. Something I would like to see is playing and hearing new rhythms at the same time, I.e, you only get feedback for things you get incorrect. We've tested it in band and got as far as sixteenth notes before things began going downhill, but I am not sure of how well your standard person would handle the lack of input. I think it is possible to play and absorb new things at the same time, just doubt that this would interest people long enough for them to get comfortable with the idea, it took me an hour to get used to split my mind into 2 chunks with my 4 years of experience in percussion. It's safe to bet that somebody with little to no experience with Rhythm games would have to spend twice or thrice as long adopting to the new mechanic, hence my hesitation. Still, something to consider

@Socheat, if memory serves, this is the minigame with the pistol shots? I would recommend counting out loud if you find yourself losing track of time. The patterns also repeat pretty often, so you should catch on. That is the most annoying game, though.

@defender/Honk, I think spider simulator would be quite interesting and has a potential to be fun.  I unfortunately can’t tinker with it right now, but maybe during Thanksgiving break? Christmas, perhaps? School has been taking all of my free time, though it should ease up slightly next semester.  I will definitely poke one of you, if not both, if something comes out  of this.  I would appreciate if somebody could remind me about this closer to Christmas, I can’t guarantee remembering this, I am really interested in making this work.

Take Rhory Arcade, for example. The developer came up with 19 or so games that boiled down to clicking buttons and hoping that luck is with you. While it was complicated to make (He actually had a GUI which was recognized by the screen reader), it quickly lost its appeal do to the lack of control the user could exhibit on the game.Before I finish, I would like to point out that we should not be downright hostile to new developers. I believe that there is a fine line between giving undue praise and being extremely rude. Unfortunately, the community tends to fall on the undue praise of the spectrum.I hope this clears a few things up for you.

What do I want?Honestly? I want a reduced number of developers. It seems like blind folks gravitate towards coding for... why? I want for New Releases to become a lot more strict with what is considered to be a game. I want people to spend longer than 5 minutes thinking about their game concepts and actually try and come up with something new. I want people to realize that game creation takes effort. I want honesty in regards to developer feedback. I do not believe in false praise. If something is bad, I want to know and I will let you know, but you will not hear admiration from my side when you haven't earned any. Frankly, few releases do so these days. To those saying that we need more developers, I urge you to amend your statement and say "we need more capable developers," which is what this community misses. Aprone was capable and creative, diddo folks at BSC games, diddo BPC Programs, diddo VIP Games Zone with some of its titles, diddo Liam, diddo Yukio... these days, the developers we have are not only uncapable in some circumstances (see my bullet haven post, 69 I think) but are also lacking in creativity, hence the disaster in regards to available games. I understand why this happens, I unintentionally contributed to this myself, but such understanding only strengthens my resolve to root out those unfit for the field (myself included). If I ever decide to make something again, I will only do so if I believe that we have not seen or explored the concept like what I came up with beforehand. So far, I got nothing.

@JayJay, using ZA source would just force somebody to recode things from scratch.Map system? Yeh, no, not really. Looking at the code, it's literally spawn_platform, spawn_platform, spawn_platform... there is no proper parsing / syntax or anything, and the entire map is one giant dictionary of "2, 5": dirt.Enemy System? If you consider it being good, then you are in for a rude awakening. The enemies in that game only differ in their running speed, health, and damage. They have no strategy behind them, they are always on the ground, and they have no more intelligence than "if player is to the left, I move left. If player is to the right, I move right. If player is in range of my attacks, I attack them". We already have Shooter (Python version) which illustrates that behavior, I don't want another game like that.Level System? Even more of a no. From memory, the level ends when you open doors. This means that every stage will have to have a door in it. Also, the entire level selection is one giant "if choice == this, then that" branch, which is more pain to adapt than to rewrite.So, combined with the general messiness of the code, ZA should not be touched in order to make something like this.

So a couple of questions.Can anybody describe the path command in more detail? Sample input / output and explanation as to what it means would be appreciated.I have difficulties with group enemy combat. Could anybody provide general syntax for the commands? So I created an account on playfav for trimps to be able to save online. Is there a way to sinc my computer and my IOS devices so that I can progress on both of them at the same time? I am not at my computer much and will be able to check the game more often on my phone.Importing a save string sounds like a possible solution, but I am not too sure as to exactly how in sinc that string may be.

The ban is for 1800 or so days, 4 or so years last time we did the conversion. Again, for me, this is ridiculous even if the ban was valid, which it was not. The nickname had nothing to do with the moderators. It had nothing to do with any player. It was just your ordinary nickname.Also, I mean, fair point, I could be lying, but I personally have nothing to gain from doing so.

So about 5 or so days ago my friend and I were playing Quenten C. When we finished the game, both of us closed the client and agreed to continue playing that evening. However, upon logging in, my friend receives this message:"You have been banned. Reason for ban: Stupid nickname."I am paraphrasing here, but the meaning is still clear. Furthermore, the reason for the ban was left untouched. I and several other folks contacted the moderators in game to try and resolve this issue, only to be met with stony silence.Why am I posting this? I want to know if there were similar experiences when it comes to this and their outcomes. We both know that "Stupid nickname" is not a valid reason to ban somebody, period. At most, it would constitute a request to change one's name, but even that does not make sense when you consider the fact that the banned individual has been around on the platform for over a year.

So about 5 or so days ago my friend and I were playing Quenten C. When we finished the game, both of us closed the client and agreed to continue playing that evening. However, upon logging in, my friend receives this message:"You have been banned. Reason for ban: Stupid nickname."I am paraphrasing here, but the meaning is still clear. I and several other folks contacted the moderators in game to try and resolve this issue, only to be met with stony silence.Why am I posting this? I want to know if there were similar experiences when it comes to this and their outcomes. We both know that "Stupid nickname" is not a valid reason to ban somebody, period. At most, it would constitute a request to change one's name, but even that does not make sense when you consider the fact that the banned individual has been around on the platform for over a year.

To those who are saying that you need a mouse for swamp, I hate to tell you this, but you are incorrect. I can run 200s, any warehouse, any day, without a mouse. Can I do PVP? No, nor do I want to. Can I do snipers? No, nor do I want to because the rewards for it our crap.  You can certainly do everything that actually matters in the game without a mouse, I am a living example. I don’t suck, either.  I did a 200 at around level 108, maybe 109.  Every level since then has been earned by me running. A mouse wouldn’t allow you to solo earlier, you simply won’t have enough points.  As for maneuvering, again, I highly disagree.  I go in diagonals all the time, and it works out just fine.  As for using bows, please. There are very few people who use bows on missions, even even fewer for PVP. Those are essentially a joke, unless you have the crossbow, and even then it’s not much better.

Unpopular opinion alert.Still here?Are you sure?Alright then.I would like Sable to be completely scrapped and redesigned to be more script-oriented. Why not menus? I opened the engine, sat with it for 30 minutes, and promptly quit. Using it makes me feel as if the developers of the product think that we are mentally challenged. Regardless of it's interface, I would still call the project a failure in a long term. I have placed it in that category before it was even released, simply do to the fact that no scripting is currently allowed. This essentially limits us to the possibilities offered by the engine, which though numerous, will run dry up at some point. Hell, most of the mechanics have already been stretched to their limits.

I am afraid I have to take Mayana's side here. Code 7 is a game which, though you can listen let's plays of, just wouldn't be the same. Furthermore, if you do join Discord, chances are that you are not going to have much of theories to contribute because you just listened. Had you moved around, thought, processed, and made those choices yourself, you would have been able to put the pieces together in a much more interesting picture.That being said, I understand that people cannot afford the game. Still, if you could buy it some time in the future, I urge you to wait. Trust me. It will be worth it

The unfortunate thing is that you can’t. Unless someone ports the scripts to iOS, you’re out of luck. I give you props for playing muds on iPad, but perhaps you should switch to PC?  Also, here is exactly why the port won’t happen. As far as I know, mut rammer has a UI. This essentially means that someone would have to be dedicated enough to press the same buttons over and over 1,000,001 times. Furthermore, they must be willing to somehow copy text from the computer to iOS, which will take some time as well. Lastly, the VIP version of the pack has about 4000 lines of code and counting.

This is not how muds work, I hope you know this. Muds only sent text. It is the clients responsibility to realize that a text is connected to something, a trigger, a script, etc.   To answer your original question, no. I would definitely not use this.  This is a good exercise, though, especially if you have a mud  to test it on. This should teach you how the underlying sockets and networking requests work, at least to some extent.

I believe it all keeps working, but don’t quote me on it. I know people have had a difficult time with getting the resort protocols shield to work, apparently it’s quite buggy.  I also believe that the chaos moves don’t really have a description, so when you press n on them they crash the game.  But, yeah.  All the gimmicky stuff works, as far as I know.

I know what the original post is talking about, but that is definitely reverse engineering the game.  If you know what you’re doing, you can catch Pierre, Most if not all of the bosses, and generally break the game.  More reason to stay away from online battling like the plague.

Hey, Trajectory, awesome! I'm sure that many folks (including yours truly) would appreciate just having a relaxed walkthrough from someone who knows what they're doing, sort of. To be frank, I'm just happy we'll get another semi-professional recording out there, LOL. Will be keeping an eye on this and increasing my recording hoard (I think I'm up to 40 GB over the last 5 years?).About your commentary, you're fine. Nobody expects you to rehearse a part before you record it, that'd, uh, kind of be unreasonable. I prefer seeing things live and the mistakes coming with it all, hence me not being a big fan of editing portions of recordings after it's all said and done.

Events typically award XP and a piece of gear which is able to be randomized until you’re happy with it, or at least that was the trend for the last couple of years.  Honestly, nowadays, that is the only time I play altar. During events, I mean.

All I can really say is just keep walking around. It’s somewhere out there, that area is the hardest to give directions because I think it’s randomly generated every time you play through the game.

I would’ve loved to return to the first continent as a tourist or something, would have been interesting to see how it all evolved since this is apparently set quite a long time after the events of the first installment.  I also think that the entire plot kind of fell down when we discover who really was behind all of this, but that’s just me.  I would’ve enjoyed keeping the character and just moving the story to him, bringing in an old face as an aside in a neat moment of reunion and redemption.  Purposefully not dropping names on the off chance that somebody else is reading this and has not played through that portion.

King of dragon pass and six ages may be good to try.  Adventure to fate, quest to the future may also be something you’re into,. Umm, That’s about it for games with sounds. Textually we have a dark room and it’s cycle, the name escapes me right now.
