in the muffin levels when going up and down with the arrows you can check where the brackets end. when you get underneath it, it'll say ending bracket on previous line.brackets always take a whole line, just like commands.

@connor try logging in once and then accessing the authlist.@Luel @Arkandias the dialog options you are mentioning are only supposed to be asked in the specific situation. We call these "investigate options" because they are reactions to a dialog, but you can decide to ask them outside the main dialog. most of all, the game will have different endings after episode 4 depending on your choices.also, the story has a lot of twists and turns and replaying the game may make you understand certain things that are mysterious during the first playthrough.in the steam version, there are a lot of difficult achievements to get.

i would recommend not using the expert/hardcore mode for your first playthrough and then when you want a challenge try it out.

in the current version there's a bug in episode 0, where the expert mode is automatically enabled at one point. so when you're at the who do you rescue decision please exit the game and restart for now if you don't want to be in expert mode.I'm uploading an update right now.

episode 4 isn't going to be released at least until christmas, maybe longer.it's not that easy to just add a dll and then it works. so the nvda thing is not going to happen sadly.the camera mini game is not exactly different, but you do have the map explorer to try to understand the map better. i might be able to add some tweaks later but in general it will not change.expert mode is pretty hard. The map explorer is the best i could come up with, but i have no idea if it'll be sufficient. I'm waiting for your feedback on further steps. the problem is that the enemies in the action based sequences are moving and while you can try to understand their movement with the map tool, i don't know how good it'll work.

a game is not the same as any other game though. it uses different aspects of a machine and we definitely have to use a way bigger amount of hard drive output than most games, because of the number of dialog audio files, we're playing.we've had another person report that their hard drive was showing a 100% workload for every dialog audio file.what kind of harddrive do you use?

yes, the game is kept up to date on Humble as well.. just not as often, because it takes forever to upload.it's also available on itch.io now.I added some new features yesterday where you can navigate through the output with the up and down arrows.i'm not sure why some people here experience very slow gameplay. could it be because the sapi is so slow?There are also some other factors that can slow the game down, for example, a slow harddrive. The game has to load all dialog audios from the harddrive every few seconds, so a slow harddrive will slow the game down.

hey everybody.I haven't been posting here because I know that most of you purchased the game on itch.io, but itch.io has problems with big files. Since the game has grown a lot, it is now bigger than 1GB and so the upload on itch.io is disabled as of right now. I'm trying to get in contact with them, but nobody is answering. I hope it's not because it's the weekend.Anyways. On other platforms like Steam or Humble, you should be able to just download a new build and after that, it should be available. We don't have the ability to send out emails to people.Please be aware that we are still heavily fixing the accessibility mode with the help of our blind players over at our Discord, so you might have to redownload a few more times.We really tried to deliver the blind-friendly mode at launch this time, but there are definitely some ways that it still needs fixing,, like we weren't really able to playtest everything in this massive 10-hour gameplay update in the accessibility mode.So there are parts where you might still get stuck. If you tell me you feel like there's a part that's not narrated correctly, then please tell me and I'll try to push a fix as soon as possible. I haven't slept anyways why start now. (awkward laugh)We did push a new setting in the game, which is called the "expert blind mode". if you enable it, no content will be skipped anymore. We heard your pleads to enable all content in the game and this unlocks everything, but be aware that these parts are heavily visual and real-time action based. By holding down shift you can at all times pause the game and then explore the surrounding area with your arrow keys. (hold them down to move a cursor on the map,  when you find something it'll tell you)That's it for now. Back to fixing.

With the release of the next episode I'm adding a fix to make it impossible to have empty inputs in that field. or try the left control key i guess... some people have reported only that key working somehow.@lukas not sure why everyone is saying only left ctrl + v works.. on my systems right control works too. i'll look into it!

riospoiler1. the fastest way is to clean the xink sensors2. you need to open the safe and find another document on a computer in the science department and then go to the greenhouse (again)3. the security barriers wouldn't allow you to go back to the lower part of the dome, e.g. the it rooms, if you wouldn't disable the security systems4. there's a document missing that makes her link the two informations. it's the same thing that is missing for the linnea story5. it's the medbay computer in the recreational area.

so what do you think you need to solve the puzzle more consistently?spoileri'll just add the solution for a better discussion on what would be needed.the solution is to go to cf52 rotate the cameras until the "almost solved" message pops up, then move to cf51, but not on the direct way, but go to 53, 43, 33, 32, 31, 41, 42, 43, 53, then rotate and then go back to 43 where the exit is unlocked.

regarding the camera puzzle .. the game tells you all you really need. i understand that it's a lot less information in the vi mode, but during testing people told us to please not change the puzzle even though it's difficult in the other thread in this forum.we did add an information when you're close to solving it though.

it's not possible to get the game in a state where it's unsolvable. d1airlock can only be accessed from standing in front of it which is what you did when leaving the quarters with zoya.the solar panel rotates. a circle only has 360 degrees so 1000 isn't really a valid input. it would just rotate around itself several times.spoiler the solar panel needs to produce 120 energy

anyone still having problems with getting the voice activated on Windows? we have had some reports that it might have something to do with administrator rights and that on some devices vi mode only works on a non administrator account, but we weren't able to reproduce the problem.

Chrisyou are using the network app for this puzzle so this puzzle is exactly like traveling through the network. In addition every computer on this network grid uses energy. When you enable one the energy consumption goes up - it is divided through all enabled nodes. So if you have three nodes enabled and have 100 energy from one energy outlet, the network has 33 watts on all nodes available.but you also have to build a path of enabled nodes to the hangar door where 22 or more watts are still available.

Chris and wlomaswe have a 13 inch macbook 2015, a 13 inch macbook air 2015, a 15 inch macbook pro 2013 and a 15 inch macbook pro 2017.@Chris While these are a bit more powerful than your 2013 air, they run without the slightest problem and your system seems to reach the tested requirements that were tested on Windows machines. Typically macos runs a bit faster even.

hanif and stewie and anybody related to camera mazewe were really concerned with this puzzle but during playtesting (with people from this forum) we were encouraged to leave it like this.We will add more information like "All cameras rotated clock-wise" in the next update though.The problem is also that more information is not that easy. Sighted players can see which paths are going to be available before moving to a certain direction. But implementing something where you can ask for the available parhs of every junction is not that different to moving there physically and asking then. Also it's technically very difficult, because the system only knows the possible ways as soon as the character arrives.spoilerThe difficult bit where also sighted players get stuck for a few minutes, which is entirely wanted, is to instead of just rotating when its possible to explore the available paths without rotating. There's a long pathway opening up at some point. Sighted players can see that. That's why we added the info that "only one more rotation is needed". So you technically have the same tools. Just finding the long path and only then rotating the cameras once more is more difficult. Not sure how to solve that.

@flame_elchemist maybe some settings broke ans you have an empty voice field in the game settings on mac. In the ~/Library/Preferences should be a file called something like unity.GoodwolfStudio.Code7.plist Not quite sure if you hve to edit or remove that.

@rpgtank how did you know when to press ctrl plus v. did you hear the message in the beginning? also, can you hear the game dialogue voices or are they missing as well?the system voices are external. it sounds to me like you have no audio coming from the game at all? there could be several things in your operating system causing this.

regarding the labyrinth. when you hit space all cameras will rotate 90 degrees. Cameras are located so that every camera always blocks one path, for example the path between cf43 and cf53. maybe we could add a text explaining this.

@wlomas .. well our game has a very very limited need for hardware since its at its core a text game, but any game that is not only accesible will have at least some hardware need. sorry to hear that your computer doesnt run it properly but there is no problem with the mac system in general since we are mac users ourselves and have tested the game heavily on the platform.

The problem is that we are only two people developing the game and after the release in August we both got super sick for quite a while.However, I have good news for you. The blind-friendly version of Episode 1 is finally done and we hope that over the next few days some of you .. preferably the ones who already bought the game .. will test it for us.We have done a lot of testing ourselves, but of course, we can't get even close to imagining what it feels like for you. So I set up a thread for testing in the developers area.Hopefully, we can then release the blind-friendly mode later next week.We understand that our website isn't very blind-friendly. The reason why you think it's been abandoned is that the website is actually just graphics. The news-section that you talk about is actually burried deep on the fourth page so that is not used a lot, but we're going to write news soon.

Hello,sorry for not answering for some time.- Steam is not required. You can instead buy the game on itch io or on the Humble Store or directly from us on our website. I'm not sure how accessible all of these stores are since I've heard that Steam isn't?- Once the accessibility features are out, you can use the same download link as before. We'll upload the new version on all stores.- The usage of the tab key for almost all inputs in the game is rather new so it wasn't mentioned in the earlier accesibility version. Sorry. But the idea is also not to type in single letters to get to commands, but to type out whole words. The key dee will not access Door, because Database comes before that. So typing out the whole or at least the first few letters of the command is what you're supposed to do.- Can you point me to an overview of how to write out single letters so the screenreader will pronounce them correctly?I kno
 w that we have several spots in the game where the screenreader has to read single letters.- I'm glad to hear that some of you already managed to play through a large chunk of episode 1 even though we haven't been able to program most of the new accessibility features. That gives me hope that you won't have to wait that long.- Speaking of waiting time. Currently we're still working on the german translation and this whole week we'll be busy exhibiting the game at Gamescom. We have a nine square meter booth in the Indie Arena Booth, which is awesome, but also a lot of work. Hopefully this will lead to us getting some more press exposure though. After that week is over, we have a few more days planned to work on the german translation and after that we'll work on the accesibility features. So I'd estimate three to four weeks, because there are several spots, where we have to come up with slightly different game design. For example, ther

Hello,really sorry that the speech version is not ready yet, but game development for such a big game is really stressful.It's like musicfairy said. All the speech features, that you know from episode 0 are in the code and can be accessed with Control plus V, but there are several new features, that we haven't gotten around to yet, like the network app, which is a big part of Episode 1.Also, there's some places, where thousands of lines of text are generated in a fraction of a second and we have to find solutions for these.That's why we haven't officially mentioned the game here yet.There's some stuff that we have to do before this, for example Gamescom is happening next week.But right after Gamescom, we have our priorities on the blind and german versions of the game.

i'm currently preparing a version where the visually impaired version is combined in the default build.can you tell me what the document you'd like to read should be named?   accesible.txt ?It should contain something like:Start the game app, wait until the main menu music starts, then press the Alt and the V key simultanously to start the visually impaired mode.Does that sound alright?

[ a-t ] BryanPdid you try all available control options though? you're only talking about the two but there are more.the scene with soli is unchanged to the non-blind-mode if that's what you mean. in the overall game there are some minigames that are left out in this version though and one of those is being started in that moment after the soli conversation, but it's not possible to beat and instead stops like it you hear it after a few seconds because Sam intervenes.

The first mac version is now online. Whoever has a mac and wants to give it a try, you can also get it at:https://goodwolfstudio.itch.io/code-7In the mac version you can enter the name of the voice you want to use in the settings already. Just ignore the fact that the game tells you to insert a number. Just type out the name of the voice, like Alex or Karen.I'll find a way for the Windows version soon too, i promise, but for now the mac version was the next step.As always any feedback is highly appreciated.
