This game is so open ended it's almost like a single player mud minus the command inputs, so I get really lost with the lack of direction. I guess you could set a goal to change the relationship values of each of the girls to see what events you unlock. Seriously there are people in the changelog I have no idea how to unlock yet. One of them can be gotten through the pc. There are also tv shows to watch, pool games to play, and I'm not sure what else, but hopefully this thing keeps growing. I've played for approx 3 hours, but most of it is just exploration, reading journal/diary entries, and interacting with the girls, such as playing hide and go seek with Eve, telling Anna she's doing a good job, and at one point, showing off for one of the girls while in the shower. I've gone to town, gone to the bookworm store in hopes to get Anna a gift, but see no actions to do anything such as purchasing books or interacting with any of the town's NPC's. One of the only actions I could locate in town, despite going to every location I could see, is picking up a chick for a quicky. Nothing to do at the park, other shops, etc. Am I missing something? I'm on Version A37, I think. What should I be focusing on doing? Also take into account the fact that Estonians quite rarely give compliments, LOL.I like the open ended and the open world nature of the game, and although you can choose the sexual options, you do not have to. At least for the most part it seams to be so.The only time I got a bit weird feeling was when I invited the girls to the sauna and I got only the sexual options. Nothing wrong with those, but in Estonia, Finland and probably some more countries it was quite common for both genders to go to sauna together. The purpose was to clean your body and spirit and naked bodies weren't such big of a deal. Nowadays the gender separated saunas are much more in common, but sometimes they still can get mixed and quite often nothing even remotely sexual there.Of course I fully understand that the game doesn't take place in Estonia nore in Finland and the characters are from neither of the corresponding nationalities, but I thought I still blurt this thought out as my impression of the game.I also have some questions:Possible spoiler alert.1. I recruited Ray and I was told he will arrive the next morning. But He didn't show up. Do I have to go somewhere at the specific time to trigger the scene?2. I finished the meeting Maki senes and I was told that they visit again. Given her stunted growth and deceptively young appearance, I felt it was important to give the player complete control over how far their relationship progressed.Hope that helps point you in the right directions. Most of those are fairly specific in what you need to trigger them. I actually noticed just this last week that I have a habit of writing scenes that are a little bit specific like that, and while there's definitely a place for those kinds of scenes, I quickly came to the conclusion that I need to focus more attention on simpler scenes that are not as hard to meet the conditions for. As such, I'll be trying to write mid level scenes and scenes that span a much wider relationship range until finding content starts to come much more naturally, then come back and start writing these more specific scenes again. A10 adds three new interactive scenes, two at mid level (In the realm of where the girls start the game) and one that is available at pretty much any relationship level. A10 will become the new public build in a couple of weeks when the next Inheritance build comes out. As a matter of fact, I'll be starting work on the next build first thing in the morning. Nearly all of the interactive scenes are capable of shifting stats +/-3 points depending on choices within the scene and the current state of the relationship.Will sex increase or decrease your relationship with Anna? Both. If you have a low relationship, its going to hurt your relationship (Most women don't like being raped after all). If you have a good relationship it can strengthen that relationship. And there's a middle ground where it doesn't really affect things one way or the other.Like with most scenes, it depends on your relationship status. The scene you mention has a positive effect on your relationship, how positive is affected by your current relationship status Many of the rooms in the house only have a couple of scenes associated with them, so that can make content hard to find. I try to keep up with it but I feel writing is more important. That said, I'm always looking for someone who may be interested in helping get it up to date.-Relationship stats can affect scenes ranging from 0-1000 points. -Most interactive scenes are only going to affect relationship stats 1-3 points each.-Letting the girls share meals with you will move all relationship stats 1 point in the positive direction each meal. Making them serve you does the opposite.-Sex scenes are pretty bare bones at the moment. There are 2-3 intros for each position at each relationship range, plus 2-4 followup pieces for each position at each relationship range. I figured that was the bare minimum to properly test that content. As the rest of the game becomes more playable, I want to go back and write additional scenes that are affected by their sex skills, add new positions, and generally broaden the whole experience. Goal is to eventually have +10 variants of everything at every relationship range. Once the bedroom sex is fleshed out quite a bit more, then I'll start adding sex to another location, and so forth until the option is available everywhere I have it planned for.-The intro has the potential to shift relationship stats a couple of hundred points up or down depending on choices. If you maintain the default range during the intro, then sex isn't going to have much affect on relationships. Being kind through the intro should be enough to push you into the positive range which means sex will have a positive affect on your relationship. And if you're a jerk through the intro, then sex will hurt your already negative relationship. I added to my list of things to look at tomorrow.There are currently around 20 interactive scenes in the game, with 2-4 being added to each new build (I write as much as I am able, but there is only one of me.) Many of them have relationship stats required to trigger (Our Wiki has some of the scenes detailed in a way that should help finding content. A lot of it can be answered by saying that the game is still in fairly early development, but I'll cover things in a bit more detail than that below anyway.1. Early in development the perspective was changed. Most of it has been fixed but we're still finding places I missed. If you see something told in the first person (I, Me, My, etc) then please report it along with where to find it and I'll get it fixed as soon as I am able.2. I've got our coders working on movement right now so that the girls will move around the house on their own. For the moment, try summoning one or both of the girls to a location as they do not move on their own. There are currently around 20 interactive scenes like the one you mentioned, some require that the girl(s) like or dislike you to a certain degree before they can trigger (Check the wiki for details, a lot of the scenes are listed there with some notes about when/where scenes play out as well as what relationship levels change that scene.)3. Yes. Anna is fairly "easy" because she feels she is protecting her sister by putting herself forward. Getting Anna to actually love you can take a lot of effort though as she is slow to gain true feelings for you (Affection at +800 before she starts having real feelings for you.) Eve on the other hand has a romance/seduction path I've been working on. She'll warm up to you a lot easier than her sister does, but she's also less willing to take the initiative at first (Meaning she will only do something if you've done it with her before. This is intentional because of how young she appears in spite of her being of age. I wanted the players to be able to control whether they were able to develop a platonic, affectionate, or romantic relationship if they choose to be kind to the girls.) Right now the seduction path is about half written (Its a bed time event, though I intend to write several more event chains that serve the same function at other places in the house) and there is a single sex scene with several variants that has been written for her that appears in A9.4. For the time being yes. The sex content written for the bedroom related to Anna is the only interactive sex currently in the game. Once there's a similar amount of content for Eve, then I'll add a new location for sex. Right now I have plans to include sex scenes in the master bedroom, guest rooms, sauna, gym, shower, over the kitchen table, in the living room, and a couple of other places. If you have suggestions for where you'd like that kind of content to appear, please share them. Check out the wiki. I am trying to get information about all of my projects up over there, but its a labor of love and tend to be focused enough on writing new content that I don't think to update the wiki often. That said, a few weeks ago I added a lot of new content over there. It only includes about half of the interactive scenes right now, but you can search the mansion by location in the wiki and find a list of scenes related to each location. Re: Inheritance NSFW Text Based Game So normally I just take a look to see what's new with each release, but this time I thought I'd play a bit more and I discovered a few things.When resting, there are 2 unlabeled buttons where you type the amount of time to rest for.I figured it out by playing around.I'm asuming they're arrows, one to jump forward a minute, while the other goes back, judging on the numbers changing when I press them.Another issue I noticed is when having a casual conversation with Eve.I get the following message.? No Event Was Available**You should not be seeing this, so please inform the developers. Include as much information as you can about what you were doing when you received this message.I'm playing the game as I type this so now I have to hunt down the other message I get, this one says something about the stats in the settings.Eve Personal Talk 5. If you see this message, please report it! Please record the scene name from the beginning of this message as well as the related character's relationship stats, it will help a lot in running down and fixing the problem..I hope that's enough information to fix, since I'm using the latest free version, A8 according to the file I downloaded.Who knows, this might even be fixed in a later update.I thought I'd report it, just incase. For better or worse, childhood cancer is something that I spend quite a bit of time dwelling on. I don't know how many downloads I actually get, but my Patreon page ranges from about 8-12k hits a week. And it looks like I get in the neighborhood of 2k downloads most builds, plus who knows how many downloads from pirate sites and such that I see builds crop up on after releases. This month alone, close to a thousand dollars was invested into art, paying coders, prize money for a writing competition I held, and other expenses related to these projects. They're 6 now) I crushed a disk in my spine and have been unable to work a traditional job since, that means my earnings through Patreon is my only paycheck. (My wife works, and with what she earns, we're able to maintain a minimalist lifestyle without the need for handouts. The only luxuries we maintain is internet and NetFlix, and before I started earning on Patreon, we had started discussing the need to drop those to make ends meet.)About 10 years ago, I had a daughter who died from a rare form of childhood cancer. Since that time, I have actively tried to give whatever I am able toward helping people in similar situations. Sometimes I can donate a little money, more often its a case of volunteering time. This is something I have every intention of continuing.The short version of the above: I have a responsibility to my family, and my income has to go toward providing for them as I am able. As my income increases, my personal donations will continue to go toward research for childhood cancer because that is where my heart calls me most strongly to give.Now, on to the meat of your message:What you say is something that I spent a lot of time thinking about when planning this game. I wanted to add a human element to the game, partially for the same reasons you describe. Nearly all "slave" games are built around cruelty and control, and while those elements are present in this as well, I feel the humanity and compassion is important for the sake of balance as well as to put players in a position where they feel the need to think about their choices and the implications there of. After all, if you do not provoke people into thinking and/or feeling emotion through your writing, then what is the point? As such, I just added a note to my game notes to pursue this very issue. While I may not personally plan to donate money toward helping victims of slavery because the donations I have always made have been toward helping childhood cancer victims, I will be spending some time researching on the subject of real life slavery (In a wider context than I currently have for the sake of writing the game.) and will make a point of eventually adding links to some good information sites on the subject as well as links to good charities related to this for anyone who finds it in their heart to help.Thank you very much for the post. The database over on TFGamesSite is a pretty convenient place to link since I keep it updated regularly and it will rout people to the most recent version of the game, the only down side is that it adds one extra click for people seeking the game (Which really isn't a big deal.). That said, do whatever works best for you.The Puppet Master is a pretty small game in comparison to my others. Less than 50k words of content and five endings (There's a brief guide for how to get all of the endings.) If memory serves, it placed third in the competition I wrote it for. (That may sound impressive, but there were only five entries, so it finished middle of the pack.) Even so, its gained a bit of a following since its completion and most people seem to enjoy it who give it a try. The way the database works here is that each page links to both the developer's website, and to a direct download of the game file so users can download the game itself without having to go through too many shenanigans. What it might be best for me to do in that case is use the tfgames link instead of a homepage, since that way people can look up info about the game and find the patrion to the paid version, then update the link to the free build directly on Patrion when new versions come out, this is what I usually try to do with most games in the db. Obviously it helps if the file names remain the same between versions, but if not updating each download link is as simple as copying the Url. i will also give puppet master a try and see about putting a page together for it, though as usual maintaining the db on this site and trying out new games is definitely a full time activity, so when I will be getting around to puppet master I don't knoww.
