Hi,pelantas I actually have done everything suggested but still no dice, is it really working for you? something must be up at my end. Silvermoon, I forgot to address your question about the combat threat rating yesterday as I wrote that up when I was half asleep  first open whatever browser you are using to play core exiles at this point, ff or crome or IE what you will  insert f2 to open jaws dialogue, open up the settings center from there (I believe jaws 14 15 have that too) type button and make sure for a button, has the speak alt text setting selected. hth.grryf.

Right so I have NVDA, but I much prefer to use jaws.It's my primary screen reader and usually I play games while doing other things.So if there's a way to play it with jaws, (which I know there is) then I really want to explore that option.That and a lot of the navigation tricks I know for the page, I know with jaws. So if anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it.

hey so!!!I can't use firefox. my jaws is a bit older so firefox won't run properly unless I'm using the latest version. Which... I do not have.Before you ask, I thought it might be my jaws version but it isn't. I got jaws2018 today and ran it in demo mode for laughs and giggles.Same sort of behavior.I'm also noticing some other differences too.So in combat, it won't give me my actual or current threat levels. In the table, it literally just says, actual and current, but there are no values there.I've seen the tutorials on bsg, and his seems to do it under the view button, but mine doesn't. it just says "view button." Any other suggestions would be so unbelievably helpful.I'm even willing to pm you my Skype info so you can see my screen if that'd help. Just because I do want to play this game on the side, and I'm being blocked every which way. Thanks a lot.

Hi, If you would be willing to try a different browser, I would suggest you try it with firefox, at least there you don't need to fiddle around with no addons, compatibility views and so on. just launch the game and you are good to go. as long as you have the VI mode enabled, of course. For IE, there's nothing you can really do except switch to somethign that isn't IE or edge. For safari, you might want to head over to the player bio and check if you have enabled VI mode.

Howdy all, hope everyone had a terrific holiday season, and the health and happiness continues throughout 2018!I'm currently using internet explorer 11, and I'm having a real problem clicking on the tab links on the core exiles site.The tab links are like, system tab, account tab, and the mission tab, and so on. I hit both enter and the spacebar while on those links, and just nothing at all happends. I've tried using my mouse curser too, with no affect.When I'm on my IPhone using safari, I have no problem getting those tabbed links to open up. The only other problem I am having however is with safari. lol Beyond the undock button, the lower third of the page is all links. Well, the problem is when I swipe and read the link with voice over, their read with all the html code showing, or at least being spoken.Such as, and I'll type out the symbols here as I'm not sure how they'd show up sent to the web page in a post.A link will read as, less than spam class equals yellow underscore title greater than mailbox less than slash spam less than br greater than. And so forth and so on, you get the annoying picture I'm sure. lolAnyway, anyone else experiencing that on safari browser? I just wish I knew how to activate those tabbed links with I.E.Thanks all, and thanks much for the help Goran.

There are some who give really good prices.Lost documents: If you get a complete set of those, part 1 to part 20 that is, you can trade it to coops at your desired location and let him know that you sent them in the specified topic in the forums, you will get a pretty good reward.Santa items: Those can be turned in at starbase-51 for 1000 xp and I think a fuel reward in the morning of  christmas.All of the above items as well as any other christmas-related items not belonging to those can be exchanged for festive points, with which you can buy various things. This is done at festive centers scattered throughout the universe.There are also some great challenges starting from tomorrow to the 7th of January.Pods are a special type of equipment, or add-on as you put it that is added to ships. Hi,Now with npcs that you complete missions for giving you access to random salvage and other stuff,those are easy to come by and you dont really need to worry about things like that as much.Up to you if you want to sell your debris (there is a reward program where in submiting debris and other random loot gets you great pods btw) or prefer to keep it for engineering different items.HTHGrryf

Hi all, its been such a great while since playing CE, that when I got the following mail, I was a bit thrown as to what to do with the item I received.Mail followes:On one of your recent Ashar Missions your external sensors detected an anomaly.We sent out an exploration vessel to take a look and discovered a cache of items in a floating crate. As you were the lead discoverer on this we have sentyou the item of most value within the cache.  This was a  Embedded Perspiration Antigens.So should I hang on to this for crafting later on? or sell it somewhere, if sell it, how or where would I do that.Thanks guys for the continued help. And yeah I seriously feel like a total newb again. lol

All the drop down lists are now gone. Their content has been split up into four tabs. The first, system tab, has things like the galaxy locator, the imporium overview, gbm listings, player ads and log out. In the account tab you have the friends list, forums, guides, a link to the store among other things. The mission tab lists all your npc, combat, fom, passenger and trade missions as well as faction standing, profession boosters and awards. The assets tab lets you view all your deployed or active stuff, things like drones, extractors, settlements etc.

hi, for those who haven't played in years and are thinking about coming back, there's actually a lot of new stuff added, like the ability to run your own corperation. I don't know exactly how it works but it has to do with supplying corperation fasilities, hireing employees and giving them ships and equipment. Those employees will then do contracts ranging from hauling to combat to exploration, which they will need different items for to succeed. Another thing is the introduction of mining barges which you can craft and get a license for. They basically mine ores which include all the different mineable resources (what you can mine depends on the skills of the barge's AI). The barge has its own level, storage amount and other stats, and like with settlements there are good and bad events that can happen to it, the outcome of which can be changed by putting points into skills and having different abilities active. Then there's the coops challenges which I think are a quite new edition to the game, where the entire server works towards a set of goals in a period of three or four weeks. The more stages are complete the more rewards everyone gets at the end, plus every stage complete adds fuel to a mega fuel prize awarded to everyone who took part. When a challenge happens a mech pirates vs player war usually also happens, this is why mech kills are a part of the challenge's stages. Also those who contribute the most in a particular level range are given special prizes. I don't know how new exactly this is but there's also now a war you can take part in other than the aliens, which is a war against the a.i, which are a collective of robots that for some reason want to kill everything. You can find their ships inside of systems that have nebuli inside of them, and once you've contributed enough to the AI war effort you can buy a plot of land on a newly built or liberated planet and outfit it for production of space or ground units, to be deployed at areas where AI presents is high such as captured planets or nebuli. A recent adition to this is project discovery, which is currently in its first stage. Apparently, the AI have attacked the core which is the place all the players were originally exiled from, and now the exiled for some unknown reason decide to come to the core's aid by discovering the secret of the AI jumpgate networks, and building jumpgates themselves to bring the fight to them. In this first stage everyone who talks to a project discovery npc gets a discovery pod. As long as it is fitted, the pod will give you research points which are apparently important later on in the project. Right now, you can contribute either resources or basic modules to the project, which earns you credits. Getting resources to the project is actually a great way to make credits, as many of the resources they require are easily extractable. There's a somewhat recent ability to build custom implants, that is first you build an implant shell and then insert up to five modules into the shell. All the modules and shells are rated  t1 to t5. Higher versions of the modules give you a bigger increase in skill points, but they also increase the level you must be at to fit the implant so don't think you can get away with putting five jump drive t5s in there and being able to use all the jdns you would want. Level 6 and 7 settlements are now a thing, and if you reach level 6 you are to choose a specialisation, a branch to take your set into, such as ship manufacturing, starbase building or simply commercial use. Level 7 brings with it the ability to make special set resources that from my knowledge can't be gained any further, but I don't exactly know the details of that.

Hello there,@goran, nice to know you decided to stick around!As an aside to darks tips what I would like to add is,do npc missions if you have finished jonus the greeter npc in starbase51 try the other npcs in feris itself,then go on to do ethan kelsy and others.The good thing is These missions will not only earn you credits,but also IP and xp with them,plus after you finish doing these npc missions the npcs will sell you random debris UA metals minerals,locked crates etc,  some of which players will be willing to buy off of you for good credits.Also, you dont have to follow any order just go and talk to any npc and see if they will give you a mission. Besides courier and some camp crafter missions,you can reject and accept these missions without any adworse affects such as loss of credits or xp so feel free to do them missions as and when you can.And no issues  feel free to drop any and all questions my way.Falconner Aka Grryf.

I have actually set up a skype group specifically for blind players, if you would like me to add you just message me your Skype name and I'll do so.I've been playing CE for nearly 8 years now on and off. And BSG will have a core-exiles section next to help blind folks get started. the biggest issue with the game is the size of it and how overwelming it can be trying to get started. Sorry for double posting, but, My current problem is that I can't, or at least don't know what to do other than the hauling missions which is less rewarding than one would hope , not to mention it becomes a bit boring after a while. Well it depends upon your stratogy. My personal way of playing was to try as many activities as possible, hauling mining, combat, then salvaging, exploring etc, so that if I got board of one thing I could try something else, then make money by selling the proceeds. Hauling I would usually do while on route to other systems to do mining or combat or similar to maximise fuel. The missions you do are essentially like bonuses, although they do scale with their level, the way you really rake in the cash is by selling the resources you get from combat, mining, salvage etc on the resource market, you can then use the cash to buy better ship parts etc, and also get into higher level activities. to begin with for example, I'd suggest sending all and any resources you get to san gallen (or another planet with a resource market), then when your over there, heading for the market and selling off as much as you can to complete contracts.Also, don't forget to speak to any npcs you see since npc missions get you involved in activities, indeed I'd suggest researching activities, finding what you need to do them then looking for what to buy or get crafted. Above all, try and get into as much as possible. Some people play ce, do a bit of combat and say "this is very grindy" however Ce is a game which rewards your patience and your ability to put fingers into as many pies as possible. hth.

Indeed Dark, the db page, combined with a couple topics on the CE forum, can be confusing to new players at the moment when it comes to the chat, especially if the new player is like me, too lazy to check the chat link at least once  , so an update would be great.At first I had a hard time navigating around and my first impression wasn't half as good to make me continue playing, But since  I was seeing lots of positivity about it here and in other places, I was determined to find what people described about it:) . But as I played more and got more familiar with the layout, I got more and more addicted to it.i'm using firefox and the pages only load slowly when my connection decides that my patience needs some exercising. Hi,I have recently gotten quite heavyly into Core exiles, and have been playing or should I say have started playing again sinse the march of this month and as others have said its quite huge and unique. I am falconner on there if you want to look me up or have questions.I have played Core exiles off and on for years now,but have had to leave it because of exams and so on,but the good thing about it is if you leave things right,you can leave it and come back to it again without any issues. that is if you remember to login once in 6 months at least. This time round I am defenatly staying!as to chat, Core exiles uses discord as so many games out there now,for its chat system. When it comes to accessiblity it is so so, for chatting creating an account and reading/replying to messages it works just fine but other stuff is meh.If you want multiple channels I would suggest the app,if not the webpage works just fine.As to it being slow?Far from it. its anything but slow, on my 50mbps connection (which I can no longer aford)  it used to be as intustanious as the press of the enter key and it would have loaded the page fully before you could say fun!Even now,it loads the pages as fast as any other website,faster than many other browser based games I have played,in fact. At those who are reading and havent played it before or would like to try it again, I would highly recommend it, it is imo, the most complex unique browser based game you are ever likely to find.It takes a bit to get into it though, stick around and give it a go and you will see what I mean.hence, feel free to ask any questions here or throw them at me via ingame email and I should be happy to help! and as others have already said a guild can make a huge huge difference, however they arent necessary if you would rather not. I do too Dark, I really enjoyed CE, and have good memories of the game. All the way down from the owner to the players.The thing that made me find other entertainment was the pages always loaded sooo slow on CE. But I'm not sure why that is. I just assumed because so many people were lagging their servers. But maybe I'll have to get back into it again to see how it works on Windows 10. But with this seemingly dieing internet explorer browser, I'm not sure how well it'll do even now.Keep us up to date if you will Goran, I'd appreciate knowing which guild you signed up with, thanks.

The db page needs updating with regards to the chat system and a couple of other things. In general though Ce has one of the nicest player bases I've seen in any online game, joining a guild can help but isn't %100 necessary, if you hang around on chat and check the ce forums people will be just generally helpful, eg if you need an item for a mission or need something built by a crafter you can just ask and usually you'll get it, heck you can get free gifts just for being in the chat,  players on the forums run lots of giveaways and competitions such (I used to run them myself).There are also other ways of making money that don't revolve around other players, for example always! check the resource market when you have combat loot or stuff you've mined since you can guarantee someone out there will want anything you have and it'll be waay more than the asking price.I'd also highly recommend getting involved with as many activities as you can. Mining, combat, ship salvage, exploring. Ce is one of these games where the more you do, the more opens up, and patience is  rewarded with more exploring. I haven't played for a few years myself, but I have extremely fond memories

hello, ce doesn't have irc chat anymore. It uses discord now, so if you want to enter chat you have to click the chat link at the bottum list of links. Also, joining guilds in ce often helps you. Trust me when I say this, there's no guilds that have it out for you in any way, especially those who contact new players. Guilds who send invitations to newer players often have great programs set up to help those players, like loning or gifting equipment, providing resources, or helping you with custom designed missions to help you familiarize yourself with the game.

Exactly good point, I also got a mail asking me to consider joining a guild, but since I am totally new to CE and I have learned not to join guilds and such too easily from past experiences, I paid no mind to it.Good to know, didn't know guilds could have such things as their own chat rooms on their own websites. Although i'd rather have the public chat rooms or whatever is available there, But if all else fails, the guild-only chat room is better than nothing I guess, so one reason for me to try to seek out a good guild  , Let's see how it goes with mIRC or other clients first though, Thanks for sharing your experience.

Hi there, I know when I was playing CE, which was a few years ago now. I belonged to a guild and they had their own web page, and on that site was there chat room where you could log in and chat with whoever was online from your guild at that time.If I remember correctly, I received a mail asking to join a guild. after doing a little research and mailing back and forth with a few of their members, I did finally join. They also helped out a lot with various game pieces that gave me some advanced functionality, but I'll be hanged if I could remember the specifics of that.Suffice it to say that I don't normally join clans or guilds on muds or online games easily. But these were a bunch of seriously nice and helpful lot of folks.As far as mirc, I never got it working for me either when I went to use it while playing Utopia. Another, MMORPG browser game. Eventually the Utopia kingdom mates moved to using apps like whats ap and slack for out of game chat. Which have their pros and cons also IMO.Best of luck, hope that helped some.

Hi,@darren, if I were to give the discord webinterface a ratting like applevis does I'd say its accessible but could certainly be eazier to use But honestly, as long as all you want to do is chat all you do is click the chat link, let it open, if your first time enter your captains name, and there you are. subsequently when you click on the chat link you'll get a accept button,press enter and you are golden.After that all you need to do is navigate to the edit fields using the key your screenreader uses (E in my case) get to the box below the brows button and there you are. write away. you can read by getting out of the forms mode and using your arrow keys. each player is given a heading before their message so you can jump to any player's message as you like.SilverMoon, The VI (Visually impaired)  mode can be activated by loging in to c

for level 30 the best ship to go for is the liberator. it's what's called a multirole class. you can use it for all sorts of things. combat hauling mining the works. that can last you until you hit level 60 or so. if you are starting a corp then keep your old ships and transfer them to the corp. let corp captains use them. as for the chat, I'm having trouble using that. I wish they had stayed with irc to be honest with you.

Hi,@connor142, I disagree when it comes to Core-exiles having 1 activity that's good and the rest are just meh you do one and the rest is just there to do or filler. Defenatly not like cosmic rage, the balance is actually quite good.Crafting or gathering and extracting resources,running factory and the like have to be done by planning. I.E either buy certain resources from some people, set up a gbm, or first extract resources along with a factory,make a stockpile and then sell through malls or gbms or even your own imporiam.If everyone could or one single player could do it all I.E gather all the resources at once,along with a factory and mall,why you'd not need to play at all. and could just sit wait for the malls to generate credits. at which point it would be nothing but a place at which you went looked at the credits and shut it off.It requires planning,coordination with others or collaboration what you will, I.E some player wants to craft x
 , to craft x,he needs a and b. He has the capacity to produce b, now he could either contract someone else to get him the A, or stagger his resource gathering from a to b.Certain things require you to plan, along with perhaps a wait for others.CE doesn't hold you to do a perticular thing, you can do what you like,how you like it and can decide things in your own way.however that freedom of choice/open nature  does mean that you can scatter yourself all over trying to do everything at once and feeling overwelmed in the process.I got my ship at level 25? or maybe perhaps 30 I don't quite remember. there are people who get it earler and people who put it off even longer,depending what they think their kind of ship is and what they'd like to spend their credits on.You are after credits,some people might be after XP,some might not give a fig about all that at all and just want to craft shite. some are into gathering resources to build up a s
 tockpile and a combination of these and then some.Here is what I'd suggest you do, work towards a ship first. Look at the CEDR, choose the one you like,and set that goal for yourself. Combat can be a fast XP earner,and resources that you don't just get anywhere,as long as you are fast enough of course although you don't need to be,you won't know and you will have gathered a respectable hawrd.It doesn't end up using much fuel though,so that's something to consider.You could also just sell your resources to other players,look either on chat or other places such as your guild or the gbm contracts that are posted as a way to earn you even more credits.crafting needs planning,but they depending on how they do things can earn XP as well as credits,without using up fuel,however the gathering of resources, planning,selling more than makes up for that. Hauling as you noticed earns you credits,but IMO hauling with passenger hauling makes you credits even more. plan a hauling run along with other activity,or do whatever floats your boat that is the thing you have fun with. things should improve once you get out of your starter ship,although there are guilds that do offer help with this. and if you'd rather not gather credits at all you can always get them from the CE store thereby supporting the game as well as reducing the things you need to work on.grryf

Aah, yes, core exiles the one browser game I really can't make my mind up about. I've played it off and on for the last three years or so, and my main problem is that I can't seam to get anything done without having to start doing three other things. That is to say as an example its high time for me to upgrade to a better ship now being level 31 or so and still using the marauder, but at the same time, I want to finish buying all the tools I need to get hightech loot from derilicts, I need to work towards a better cargo expander so I can actually do some of the higher level missions and carry more haulage, and then there's the problem of constantly having to stay ahead of my combat mission sorties so they don't grow too difficult by buying better and more expensive weapons. Plus, I've found the only profession which I can do that really gives me good credits atm is hauling. Passangers are far too random for my taste and I get less out of spending 30 m
 inutes getting people where they need to go than spending five minutes doing three ashar contracts. While I understand combat, mining, and exploration are done mostly for the loot than for cash rewards money is what I'm looking for  the most being able to buy most things I need either from other players or from npc stores, and the fact that I don't even know where to start my crafting ventures since there's so many blueprints to choose from and a lot of resources you need for crafting are very rare. Then there's the problem of me wanting to run things such as factories malls and whatnot, however I can't see how it is possible running factories and malls efficiently since the resources and comodities you need for them are either rare to find or expensive to purchace. For example, I can't see myself running a mall selling alcaholic beverages if I either have to buy them from a sales market eeither reducing my profets or just plain losing money, or lo
 oting them from combat which only usually gives me 10 if I'm lucky to even find those exact things I'm selling. Also factories from what I know require a large amount of resources to run propperly and make comodities, resources which I don't reddilly have access to with the limited number of extractors and mining lasers at my disposal. And it really, really gets boring hauling non stop for cash, so I usually end up quitting and doing something else out of bordem. Now the one suspician I have about the game is that instead of being able to do whatever you want all the time, its kinda like cosmic rage where one or a limited number of activities give you the best rewards, and you can scrap all others. Although unlike cosmic rage, in this game you create the trap yourself by accidentally focusing on one activity more than another, and its already done.

Hi,You might want to enable the VI mode found in the player bio screen, I asume the issue is of expanding tabs I.E the system tab,account tab and so on.IE also works with core-exiles though, you just need to add core-exiles to compatibility mode and run internet explorer without any addons. in both cases though, you'll need to enable the vi mode.Any further questions, feel free to either ask here,drop me a mail on core-exiles or ask on the chat.Which for former players and the new is more accessible than before, as it uses discord now.You don't need the app, just in case you get the app offer and might think its needed.hthgrryf

After hearing from a couple people they recommended firefox.So I got the browser, for other reasons actually, but tried core exiles on it.It does not work. Another question.  I tried salvaging Rex, but it says no rex found. Is any specific system has more rex then the other.  If an npc asks you, let's say,  to bring them 65 units of oxygen, can you bring  50 and then 15? Or do you have to bring all at the same time.

depends on what you want though. also buy extractors and deploy them. then sell those resources on the gbm. when you're high enough you can start a corporation. they aren't too bad actually. Energy is also your friend and getting good reactors in your ship can help a lot. I'd also recommend checking the ce data repository, in the dropdown for seeing the best gear at your level. even if it is craft only you can probably find it on the market place or have someone craft it for you if your not into crafting. Also, don't rule out combat since there is a lot valuable loot you can only get by fighting. I to alternate fighting, and hauling myself usually accepting say a combat or federation of mining mission somewhere distant then looking  for haulage contracts along the way to maximize cash. Also, be active on the forums and in game, since people will help you out and have things you can in turn help with, from competitions to assistance with crafting projects,  oh, and btw, remember that contracts on the market place for resources are a great way to sell stuff you've mined or looted, indeed it's usually wiser to sell to othe
 r players than npcs if you can, unless your specifically contracted for something or are doing an npc mission. Hope these general tips help. Ce is a great game, actually I ought to get back to playing since I had a lot of good gear, settlement, base etc.

hi. I'm james t kirk on there.basically the quickest way to level up and make money on ce is to do the hauling contracts. depending on the size of your hold yu can take multiple contracts. don't forget to look for extra cargo holds and other bits of tech that will help you along. don't spend IP unless you have too. only spend IP on what you need.

Sadly the Ce database site went down a while ago and I probably should remove the link since nobody is sure what happened to it and it probably won't be back, though comparatively more recently some useful tools occurred in game such as the promenade finder which made the function the Ce database site used to fulfill it far less necessary than it was previously. Indeed there is pretty much all! the ce info you need in the game itself, or on the forum, and it has one of the nicest communities ever! hope you enjoy the game, i had many hours of fun with it, made many things, explored a lot and had a great time, indeed though i haven't played now for a couple of years I do remember the game very fondly and probably ought to see what's going on if I can recall where I was.

I would also like to state that whatever this new game is, accessibility later or not, it might just be in a vested personal interest that doesn't quite mesh with the blind community. I do however agree with the the whimsical Mister Dark; Coops has a good and consistent track record and though he does have some ranking blind players he or she has stated that there is only so much you can do when you already have an invested following and the accessibility was an accident. She certainly does what she can, but it's just one or two people and they can't cover thousands of pages of code to fix every little thing. Core Exiles is pretty much perfect in my opinion. There are some weird pages and commands to get used to, but overall it's amazing. If certain developers make something that's just inaccessible flat out I feel we as the blind community shouldn't take offense and support them however we can. Even if it's just accepting the fact.

@Csm, if coops has said "accessibility will come later" then I'm inclined to believe her, (I think coops is a lady, or at least when I donated to the game I had paypal payments going to a certain linda cooper).Assuming that the game isn't written in an inherently inaccessible fashion to begin with, (and if Coops has promised access I'm inclined to believe that is not the case), Accessibility usually involves making elements of the screen display, adding text labels to images, extra buttons, some display details etc available  in a way screen readers can access. Those sorts of things however are additions to the existing code and the display of the game. Provided the game has the potential! to recieve readable labels and screen reader additions, then that is indeed a job best done when the game itself is up and runningg, look at Smugglers 4,A dark room, Adventure to fate 2, or the access fixes to Drakor, puppet nightmares or many other games.If Coops new game isn't accessible at the start but is being developed with accessibility on the table later, then I'd be inclined to wait for a while at least before trying to kick up a stink. Coops has always been very good about access matters generally, (I've had some discussions with her myself on the subject in Ce), and while it is possible for a busy developer to forget about access furher down the line, it's probably better to wait a while before assuming that has happened, especially with a developer with such a good accessibility record as Coops.

Hi Csm. I was a major core exiles player for quite a few years, got to level 50, owned a settlement and two ships and all sorts of factories, even a genesis building, then however I ended up getting subsumed by other games. First, as regards the chat. The flash chat I never found to work properly in game, however you used to be able to use any Irc client to chat on the core exiles channel. I used M irc, but other people used different ones, which provided a fine accessible alternative. As regards access to other projects, the problem is it depends upon what the other projects are. If for example Coops were working on a heavily graphical flash game, making it accessible could essentially take rewriting the hole interface, particularly if (as seems more likely with all the html 5 shenanigans), there were real time elements. Unfortunately, it depends entirely on the  design of the game, and not just in terms of gameplay but also in terms of programming st
 yle, how it interacts with the browser, what the player does etc, heck even Core exiles accessibility was essentially an accident caused by very good image labelling being as the game is heavily graphical.This recently happened with the developer of A dark room on Ios. A dark room, one of the best accessible text rpgs out there (I'd recommend it if you have access to an Ios device), followed by it's bigger, badder brother, the sequel the ensign. His third game is an animated 2D affair called noble circle, which is utterly and completely inaccessible sinse it's based heavily on animated graphics, although he has said a further game in the style of adr is in the works.Unfortunately, access at the moment is a matter of compromise, particularly with developers like Coops from Ce who have done such a lot already. it might be that coops is mistaken on access in his new project, but I suspect from the very reason as you said that he already knows so much about 
 access, that he is possibly not.The good news however, is that more and more newer devs are turning to creating accessible games, especially in these days of very heavy indi development. For example, if your a fan of the hole space turn based combat, check out the smugglers series. If you want an mmorpg in space, maybe astro galaxy would fit the bill. If you fancy something different, well it's amazing how much new stuff is appearing, indeed far more than this site can keep up with, and core exiles will always be an amazing achivement access wise whtaver coops does or does not do in the future.

Dark I actually do love what Coops has done with core. But it troubles me that I cannot try his new game because it's not fully accessible. I would just pass it off if he didn't know better but he does. Why not do accessibility work up front so that everyone can participate? He has indicated that accessibility will come later, and that bothers me. In regards to the chat in his announcement he said that it may work with VI players. Note that the chat is still accessible via other means, but to me this is beside the point. I'm quite sure that there are some high ranking VI players and some like me have a vested interest. So again why not put the call out for some help in this matter to do it right the first time. I do plan to write coops, but I want to gather some info first.

Hi,As I said in my post above Holidays post got me started with playing CE again, and I have been rediscovering how fun it all is.Right now I am trying to get a ul and then a hauler class vessel,probably a archon then go for a player made ship. Yes, there is such a thing, players can actually craft their own ships which then they can sell to others or use it themselves. This is what I like the most about Core-exiles/ CE is Crafters can almost craft anything be it a weapon to different ships and so on, the only limitations being certain items which are specific to the CE store. But then again I am not a crafter myself. I am mostly into hauling and taxi service that Is takeing passengers from point a to point b. at a fare price,of course. Ce Has something for everyone (for the people who are into browser mmorpgs or text games in general that is) You can craft 
 Any items in most cases player made items are more often than not superior then the npc store items, you can haul cargo for different company, you can be a courier where you find the resources and deliver them to the required location in time,of course, you can engage into combat, salvageing of those vesels that you or others have blown up, mine different ores,run factorys and malls, extract and supply resources those crafters do need resources,you know.  Explore planets by landing on them, explore derelicts by scanning for them and probably a lot more that Im missing. You arent limited to any one of these activities,oh no. you can choose to do any or all of them as and when you like,although trying to do them all could be a bit Anyway,so for those that are undecid
 ed give Core-exiles a goIts worth it. And if you do give It a spin after reading this, enter my captains name falconer into the referral field. If you do and drop me a in game mail, it wont be just me that benefits but you do,as well. After you have reached level 20 and then 35. Ahoy thereHoliday, your post actually made me start playing again although I havent done much so far besides haul a few loads from vp to fernusI still happen to have my old captain and account,so thats a good thing,but as always Ill need to relearn loads of stuff.Mike,To turn on the VI layout,go to the player bio or something similar located below and after the mailbox link. once you activate that, youll get a bunch of buttons in a table. if your VI mode is disabled, the button will say disabled. click on it,and you will have activated the VI compatibility mode. here is how you add a website to the compatibility option in ieopen core-exiles in your browser, press the menu bar, navigate to tools press down or up arrow to go through the tools menu bar, choose compatibility view and settings, as it opens, just press the add website button,and core-exile will get added to a list of websites that are supposed to 
 be shown in compatibility mode.A pain in the arse after turning on the compatibility mode is that while in the main space navigation screen, you start to see stuff like colspan or span or something similar after each object, and the objects are listed twice. I.E 2 jumpgates etcIs it just me? using ie11 here, win7pro 64bit.Grryf

forgot to mention.Using internet explorer, you need to add core-exiles to the list in tools compadibility options. this will allow you to open the 4 tabs: system, account, mission,  assets with a simple enter like all other links. also when playing for the first time go to your player bio and turn on / toggle the VI blind mode. it is a game layout made just for blind players using a screen reader.hope to see ya in game,Holiday
