Although the Family Tree DNA sale ended on Dec. 31st and the prices have
gone back to regular, the Mystery Rewards coupons expire on Sunday, Jan.
3rd at 11:59 pm CST.

So if you are kicking yourself for not ordering, you can still order at a
somewhat reduced price.

Email me off list stating if you would like Y-DNA, mtDNA, or Family Finder,
and I will issue you a coupon code.

[AZORES-Genealogy] Re: Translation of faint document

2016-01-02 Thread Kawika322
The bottom right marriage record states marriage was on 7 Jan 1697, in the
church of Santo Amaro, Island of Pico. Husband is Diogo Franca?
something..(hard to read-based on sidenote) and can't tell wife's name. The
record is incomplete because it should continue on the next page, however
the record on the next page seems to be a different marriage record, so
there must be a page or pages missing from this book, because the record on
the next page is the marriage for an Antonio Goularte and an Anna Vieira.

The middle marriage record above (relating to your friends family) is a
completely different record, and the date is 28 Nov 1696.

Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Translation of faint document

2016-01-02 Thread 'Altino Demelo' via Azores Genealogy
Suzanne, the first date is the correct date for the middle record; 28 Nov 1697.

This marriage is from Santa Amaro, Pico island
Dominos Nunes, son of Domingos Nunes and Maria de Terra (you should get a secon
opinion on Terra)
To
Maria Cardosa, daughter of Francisco Viera/Vieira Valim and Maria Cardosa.
I think they are fro Funchal?

The others are from this parish.

The record underneath isn't a footnote but a different marriage record that
continues on the next page.
