The Web 2.0 way of doing things is to stay at home, meet them on MySpace, then add them on Facebook. Cheers, Rich. - Sent via the backstage.bbc.co.uk discussion group. Re: [backstage] Facebook Apps
I got one of our crack developers on the case, and the result is http://apps.facebook.com/virginradio/ in case anyone wants to take a look. We're quite pleased with it, but it's certainly a work in progress. Works best if you're already registered at virginradio.co.uk but still works fine if not. Three days' development, I think. Re: [backstage] Facebook Apps
I'm in the process of writing one, getting some practice in with the platform just in case I go down this route during Hack Day. So far so good, once you've figured out the authentication signature. FBML is really useful, saves lots of lookup API calls you would otherwisae have to make. As with all of these things the facebook platform is only really as good as the applications built for it. Check out the docs and also this fairly hidden wiki... http://wiki.f8.facebook.com Chris On 04/06/07, Barry Carlyon (Webmaster LSRfm.com/LSweb.org.uk) [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hey everyone I'm surprised no one has commented on this yet but I imagine I'm one of the younger members of this list, hence Facebook….
