Bug#410269: (pas de sujet)

2007-02-09 Thread Adam Cécile (Le_Vert)

Hi,

Check your traceback, many picard's python modules are loaded from
/usr/local/ instead of /usr.

You must have an old manual installation that conflicts with the debian
package.

Remove it and it'll work again.

Moreover I just checked on two computers, Options worked like a charm.

= Invalid + Closed, Feel free to re-open if you're still experiencing
issues after having removed picard from /usr/local/.

Best regards, Adam.

Well, I've already applied it to upstream, both for branch 1.2 and trunk.
There are some new strings in 1.2.1 and a bit more in trunk, so it's not at
100% already :D

About Debian, do you plan to contribute more translations or should I try to
upload a wesnoth 1.2-2 to etch already?

It would be great if we could have wesnoth (55 fuzzies, 78 untranslated) and
the tutorial (99 untranslated) completely translated too :)

Best regards and thanks again for your contribution

Bug#379900: liferea: Sporadic crashes on amd64 -- Please retest with 1.0.27-1

2007-02-09 Thread Devin Carraway
FWIW, liferea 1.2.5 was released recently; its changelist cites the fixing of
a crash on 64-bit platforms. I've been using it for the past five or six days
and haven't crashed it yet, which is better than 1.0.27-1 ever did.

This deep in the Etch freeze it's probably not reasonable to try to do a major
update, but the fix itself might be easily backportable.

Now try kpagsh:

and no new shell is started.

However, this works:

and this also (note FILE:):

It seems like kpagsh has a problem deducing the cache type from the
original setting of the KRB5CCNAME variable, and simply refuses to start.

Bug#407900: at: no /var/run/atd.pid

2007-02-09 Thread Paolo
Still seeing this problem.
Also, atd may be running, but pidfile isn't there. In such situation the
init script fails to kill atd and start a new atd process:

-bash-3.1# /etc/init.d/atd restart
Stopping deferred execution scheduler: atd.
Starting deferred execution scheduler: atd.
-bash-3.1# ps axww -H|grep atd
3469 pts/0S+ 0:00 grep atd
4160 ?Ss 0:00 /sbin/rpc.statd
3408 ?Ss 0:00 /usr/sbin/atd
3456 ?Ss 0:00 /usr/sbin/atd

clearly, the script should be a bit smarter.
But this seems a common problem with Debian's init scripts, ie if pidfile
isn't found then daemon wasn't running for sure. Turns out to be wrong.

Bug#403721: Joomla crashes MySQL-Server

2007-02-09 Thread Thomas Babut

I'm running Debian Etch AMD64-Port on an AMD64-System with all newest
updates:

ii mysql-common 5.0.32-3
mysql database common files (e.g. /etc/mysql
ii mysql-server-5.0 5.0.32-3
mysql database server binaries

Newest CMS Joomla 1.0.12 is installed. And when you click on the
category manager in Joomla, the following mysql query is crashing the
server:

DB function failed with error number 2013
Lost connection to MySQL server during query SQL=SELECT c.*,
c.checked_out as checked_out_contact_category, g.name AS groupname,
u.name AS editor,COUNT( DISTINCT s2.checked_out ) AS checked_out ,
z.title AS section_name FROM jos_categories AS c LEFT JOIN jos_users AS
u ON u.id = c.checked_out LEFT JOIN jos_groups AS g ON g.id = c.access
LEFT JOIN `jos_content` AS s2 ON s2.catid = c.id AND s2.checked_out 0
LEFT JOIN jos_sections AS z ON z.id = c.section WHERE c.section NOT LIKE
'%com_%' AND c.published != -2 GROUP BY c.id ORDER BY c.section,
c.ordering, c.name LIMIT 30

On a 32-Bit-System this query works fine. And this only happens on the
AMD64-System with the new mysql-server-5.0.32-3. With the earlier mysql
version 5.0.30-3 Joomla works fine on the AMD64-System.

So this is the same bug as reported here?

Thanks.

no it does not it's because your lvm2 is still from sarge

could you add vgscan to your initramfs and check what it is

Bug#410224: give the user the ability to answer conffile prompts during installation

2007-02-09 Thread Christian Perrier

As you mention yourself, the situation you described should *not*

presumablly this doesn't just affect conffiles but any prompting that doesn't
go through debconf (or is not using debconf also forbidden?).

The answer is yes, in my opinion. Or, more presumably, *any* package
should be installable in a non-interactive manner.

You really need to be more informative about your system and about what fails.

I just built and installed it nicely with m-a a-i shfs.

Bug#283127: xserver-xfree86: [ati/radeon] SEGV in fbBlt() during large pixmap allocation on unknown chipset (0x5964) rev 1 (RV280 [Radeon 9200 SE])

About 2 years ago, you reported a problem to the Debian BTS regarding a
segfault of the X server during large pixmap allocation on a Radeon

this bug in the next weeks.
Sorry about taking some time to respond. I don't have the card
anymore, but I talked with a friend who has a similar (but apparently
not exactly the same) card and could test the bug. Cc:ing to him.

I could not reproduce the bug with my Radeon 9200, using these
package versions:
  gv 3.6.2-3
  xserver-xorg 7.1.0-11
  xserver-xorg-video-ati 6.6.3-2

According to ltrace, the call to XtConfigureWidget with large
arguments is slightly different - maybe the behavior of gv has changed
a bit, or it depends on something like the window size or display DPI:
  XtConfigureWidget(0x80c0548, 0, 0, 9929, 51517) = 0
But this is still quite large, and does not trigger a bug... Thus, it
appears that we cannot reproduce this bug - hopefully it has been fixed.

What happens when you click on links in other applications, the ones in

That is interesting because, being currently subscribed to the
package's PTS even though I'm not the maintainer, I actually didn't
went through your entire bug report mostly because of the way it was
explained at the beginning.

I mostly read something like this package is providing brain-dead

Something interesting to consider, maybe, when interacting with

Bug#410283: RFP: jtb -- a syntax tree builder to be used with the Java Compiler Compiler (JavaCC) parser generator

2007-02-09 Thread Paul Cager
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: jtb
  Version : 1.3.2
Upstream Author : Wanjun Wang [EMAIL PROTECTED] and others
* URL : http://compilers.cs.ucla.edu/jtb/
* License : BSD
  Programming Lang: Java
Description : a syntax tree builder for JavaCC

JTB is a syntax tree builder to be used with the Java Compiler Compiler
(JavaCC) parser generator. It takes a plain JavaCC grammar file as
input and automatically generates the following:

* A set of syntax tree classes based on the productions in the
grammar, utilizing the Visitor design pattern.
* Two interfaces: Visitor and GJVisitor. Two depth-first
visitors: DepthFirstVisitor and GJDepthFirst, whose default
methods simply visit the children of the current node.
* A JavaCC grammar jtb.out.jj with the proper annotations to
build the syntax tree during parsing.

New visitors, which subclass DepthFirstVisitor or
GJDepthFirst, can then override the default methods and
perform various operations on and manipulate the generated
syntax tree.

And then make watchdog become the last daemon stopped? Yes, that might
work. Hmm, thinking about it, it might even be better to do this with

I thought of this as well... one at K01 and one at K99. K01 would create
/etc/watchdog/shutdown, which watchdog would notice and not do any
further network or process checks. K99 would actually stop the process.
The startup script would automatically clear the shutdown file. Does
that action of the rc files go against any Debian policies?

You'd also have to consider the possibility of races between watchdog
noticing that a process has stopped, and noticing that
/etc/watchdog/shutdown has been created. The only way around this I can
think of is that you somehow make sure that watchdog has noticed that
the file has been created before you let K01 finish. Maybe by having it
in turn create a /etc/watchdog/shutdown_ack file.

Checking the runlevel frequently in watchdog could be 'expensive' in
terms of CPU (I think it needs to parse the utmp file), and even more
'expensive' in trying to prevent races.

no it does not it's because your lvm2 is still from sarge

I have had this problem after a complete upgrade to etch and I have the

could you add vgscan to your initramfs and check what it is

you'd have to add a following line to the bottom of one hook in

Bug#379900: liferea: Sporadic crashes on amd64 -- Please retest with 1.0.27-1

This deep in the Etch freeze it's probably not reasonable to try to do a major

It could be worth to backport it. The simple patch is available from

mailscanner-4.55.10-3

Queue files are okay, mails get delivered and Headers are

Can you give me some more information on this?
Perhaps your complete MailScanner.conf or a broken queue file?

Bug#410185: dnsmasq: endless retry loop after server failure DNS response

2007-02-09 Thread Simon Kelley
Johannes Stezenbach wrote:

 Yes, that's correct, I have strict-order set.

Ok. In that case I think a fully understand the problem.

I use the resolvconf package to manage /etc/resolv.conf
(no server= in dnsmasq.conf). I also sometimes have to
use a VPN (using vpnc), thus I need strict-order for
correct lookups. But the bug is reproducable without the VPN.

Yep, just using --strict order is enough.

My main connection is usually a DSL line, and I get
 two nameservers from pppoe.

As a workaround, you might consider not using --strict-order, and
specifying your VPN nameservers in /etc/dnsmasq.conf like so:

server=/domain of VPN/IP of nameserver

That way lookups which need to go to the VPN nameservers are send there,
and everything else goes to the servers in /etc/resolv.conf

There are a few unrelated issues to fix, so I anticipate a release to
fix this in a week or so. The problem has existed in all dnsmasq
releases for the last year or so.

Cheers,

Simon.

 Thanks,
 Johannes

However, how do you justify the serious severity ? Appendix F says

I checked with the release managers on #debian-release (I wasn't sure

I'll also check to see how hard it is just to use a proper lprng
spool directory. There is a new upstream so now is probably the time to
 do it.

Thanks!

Bug#410291: [patch] Change Finnish spellchecking to use high-quality Voikko

2007-02-09 Thread Timo Jyrinki

Package: tasksel
Version: 2.66
Tags: patch

Hello,

Attached is a patch that changes the tasks for Finnish language to use the
first high quality free software spell-checking and hyphenation solution,
ie. Voikko. All packages are included in etch.

Tmispell-voikko completely replaces ifinnish and wfinnish.
Libenchant-voikko adds support for those programs (the next upstream
version of libenchant will also include the plugin by itself).

There's no direct replacement for aspell-fi and myspell-fi, but I
recommend removing those from the default installation, since the quality
of those is too low to be usable for writing Finnish. Furthermore,
myspell-fi might cause problems with openoffice.org-voikko, requiring
manual settings for the superior spell-checking to work. Those packages
may be installed by anyone if it is really wanted, but the better solution
is to eg. convert aspell/myspell using programs to use libenchant anyway,
or wait for (theoretical) aspell/myspell-compatibility programs ala
tmispell-voikko from the Voikko project.

Naturally it'd be nice to have in etch, but do as you see fit.

First of all, this update-alternatives never worked very well for courier,
don't know why.

The manpage says:

 --remove name path
Remove an alternative and all of its associated slave links.
name is a name in the alternatives directory, and path is an
absolute filename to which name could be linked. If name is
indeed linked to path, name will be updated to point to another
appropriate alternative, or removed if there is no such alterna
tive left. Associated slave links will be updated or removed,
correspondingly. If the link is not currently pointing to path,
no links are changed; only the information about the alternative
  is removed.

So update-alternatives should remove these manpage links by itself, right ?

Package: procps
Version: 1:3.2.7-3

I have 'top' running in an xterm. Then I press 'u' to specify a user name. If
I write my user name 'tmac' then press TAB, the cursor correctly jumps to the
right. But when I then press backspace, the cursor goes backward one character
at a time instead of one big jump. In addition, the cursor is not able to go
all the way back to where it started. Maybe the problem is related to the fact
that I am using a UTF-8 locale.

Best regards,

Cze¶æ,

Hotswap is generally used to swap devices like cdroms, dvds, etc. in laptop's
bay, but the
kde-frontend display hdd_unmount icon (both in the main window and in a
systray). I guess it would
be more accurate to display different icon e.g. cdrom_unmount (or similar). To
change that it
suffices to make small change to the 192nd and 194th line of
hotswap-0.4.0/kde-frontend/khotswap/hotswapform.cpp file.

This error is fixed in the last zope3-sandbox (3.3.0-6), which you just

The main problem is that between zope3 3.2 and zope3 3.3 upstream
introduced incompatible changes, and for this reason old instances can't
start nor stop with the new zope3. Anyway, they do not stop the
installation or removal, so it is just an aesthetic problem.

2007-02-09 Thread Alex Hermann
Package: kqemu-common
Version: 1.3.0~pre9-12
Severity: serious
Justification: Policy 10.6

kqemu creates a device file in its postinst script using mknod. This
violates Debian Policy 10.6. Additionally, it breaks usage of kqemu because
it creates the node with the wrong device numbers (kqemu is configured to
dynamically assign device numbers). If at all, it should use MAKEDEV to
create the device node which spares udev system of such breakage.

Bug#408118: ChessDB - free chess database

2007-02-09 Thread Dr. David Kirkby

I'm maintaining ChessDB

http://chessdb.sourceforge.net/

but don't have a Debian system here, so are unable to do any testing.
Someone sent me a binary for Debian, which I put on the Sourceforge site:

http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?group_id=184864use_mirror=puzzlefilename=chessdb_3.6.7-1_i386.deb85831364

but that is for an older release.

I understand the name proposed by 'zako' is too long. Can I suggest:

ChessDB - A multi-platform chess database

Note the mix of upper and lower case in ChessDB. I've no idea of your
conventions for Debian, so I'm sure if you want a unix name 'chessdb'
would be appropriate.

Sorry I can't be or more assistance.

Hi,

I don't know where the error lies, but I created two loop devices loop0

Ditto. I've succesfully setup a crypto mapping on a raid1 device under

I have tried and I can successfully run cryptsetup on another raiddevice (md1)
made from loopdevices without any problems.

Bug#410294: kqemu-common: Stop creating /dev/kqemu

2007-02-09 Thread Daniel Baumann
severity 410294 normal
tags 410294 pending
thanks

kqemu creates a device file in its postinst script using mknod. This
 violates Debian Policy 10.6.

no. it is only a policy violation *iff* MAKEDEV knows about the device.
it is already requested for inclusion, see #407345.

Additionally, it breaks usage of kqemu because
it creates the node with the wrong device numbers (kqemu is configured to
 dynamically assign device numbers).

the number is not wrong and does work here, what makes it failing for you?

If at all, it should use MAKEDEV to
create the device node which spares udev system of such breakage.

again, MAKEDEV does not (yet) know about it.

I got SEGABRT from gawk on amd64 with LANG is UTF-8.

First, create data file.

$ /usr/bin/gawk '{print length($1)}' dpkg-list.txt  /dev/null
$ LANG=C /usr/bin/gawk '{print length($2)}' dpkg-list.txt  /dev/null

I use LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8 env., segfaults too.

I attached file that following command output:

Bug#410304: fluxbox: text ('strftimeFormat') width determenation error

2007-02-09 Thread Dmitry E. Oboukhov
Package: fluxbox
Version: 0.9.15.1+1.0rc2-1
Severity: normal
Tags: l10n

I use UTF-8 encode (ru_RU.UTF-8 locale).

Installing config parameter in the meaning:

 session.screen0.strftimeFormat: %d %b, %a: %02k:%M:%S

I got too wide field 'time' at monitor.

Switching in monobyte encode (locale C or ru_RU.KOI8-R), I have normal
form of 'time'.

Obviously that problem is that text wide is determinied in bytes but
not symbols (for locale ru_RU.UTF-8 my variant of 'strftimeFormat' line
is more at 6 bytes than the same variant in local ru_RU.KOI8-R).

I could look code error by myself but I sent the patch at fluxbox before
and my messages were ignored. So now I just report about error.

With best regards, Dmitry E. Oboukhov.

PS: Sorry, my bad English.

ok. (although I doubt it will be accepted, major 250 is in the range
intended for local/experimental uses)

Additionally, it breaks usage of kqemu because
it creates the node with the wrong device numbers (kqemu is configured
  to dynamically assign device numbers).

the number is not wrong and does work here, what makes it failing for
 you?

kqemu uses a dynamically assigned device number (default in 1.3.0pre11), on
my system it used (10, 62) the last time. Udev did the right thing(tm) in
this case and tried to create the correct device node, but failed because
it already existed (due to the postinst).

$ cat /etc/modprobe.d/kqemu
options kqemu major=0

$ ls -la /dev/kqemu
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 10, 62 2007-02-09 14:34 /dev/kqemu

If at all, it should use MAKEDEV to
create the device node which spares udev system of such breakage.

again, MAKEDEV does not (yet) know about it.

Then the postinst has to check for udev, and not create the node if it is in
use. (although this won't prevent using the wrong major/minor numbers)

Alex.

Hello,

the fix from Version 0.56-1 does not work in the current version (0.64).

Upstream included more tests about $HOME and home from /etc/passwd so
the easy fix to change only $HOME in shell does not work.

I will now disable the complete make test in build process and upload
the new version 0.64 in few hours.

No objections from me, thanks for doing it. It is important that
Bug#409524, which will be RC for lenny, be closed. There is at least one
source package that build-depends on it (plplot).

JFTR and my personal log: This bug report is a duplicate of
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=405186. The bug is in
libxml-sax-perl. Adding the `--encoding' option should fix it for the
moment, so build-dependencies can stay the same.

Leaving this bug opened, without reassigning it, to prevent further
reports of the same kind against docbook2x. Adding an etch-ignore tag,
that should fit the current situation.

Bug#410307: dhcp3-client: -q command-line option has no dhclient.conf equivalent

2007-02-09 Thread Sébastien Hinderer
Package: dhcp3-client
Version: 3.0.4-13
Severity: wishlist

It would be convenient to be able to specify in the configuration file
(rather than on the command-line) that dhclient should be quiet.
Indeed, it happens that dhclient is invoked by other programs which
don't let one specify additiona command-line options.
An example is the ifupdown package. It calls dhclient3 but it is not
possible to specify other options than those encoded in ifupdown.

Another approach would be that ifupdown calls an external script
which would be responsible for finding out a DHCP client installed
on the system. This script could in turn include /etc/default/*
files where one could specify arguments to pass to the DHCP client.H

Debian etch upgrade and update to actual date.

 dat:/# uname -a

When execute rsync always appears this: rsync error: syntax or usage
 error (code 1) at main.c(1303) [client=2.6.9]

That's only when you don't give it a correct syntax in its options to
actually do something useful. How about:

$ rsync -n . /tmp
skipping directory .
$ echo $?
0

And when use rsnapshot this other : [08/Feb/2007:18:06:24]
 /usr/bin/rsnapshot hourly: ERROR: /usr/bin/rsync returned 130 while
 processing [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/var/www/

I use rsync with rsnapshot and actually doesnt run.

How i can solve my problem?

You will have to find out how rsync is being called by rsnapshot, and if
you can find the error message given by rsync. I wonder whether perhaps
the rsnapshot maintainer may be able to help you better.

I use rsync daily on 150 systems to backup 2TB of data, so I think that
rsync is basically OK.

Please, don't send this stuff to lists or things like bug reports...

I could reproduce this behaviour on a etch machine at the university

I get no output for Caps_Lock+Alt+1 there, too.

There are also some Sun PC's (Opterons) with sun keyboards. On that
machine it works as expected if I run

setxkbmap -layout us -option ctrl:nocaps

I don't know if the xserver uses a different mapping for those sun
keyboards. Perhaps this gives someone a clue what's wrong.

Bug#409782: German manual page of aptitude is incomplete

It depends how skilled you are with basic unix tools like diff.

Well, I don't know how aptitudes man page is handled, so this might
not be the case here, but the po format has also a distinctive advantage:

You get to know that a change happend (because *fuzzy* message
appear, which can easily be spotted by programms which send you
e-mail, write it on a web page etc.). I cannot remember having ever
received a note about a changed translated man page (without po).
And I simply don't have the time to locate each and every revision
control system (if any) and check for changes (which might have
happend upstream, or in Debian, or in a separate patch applied by
Debian ...). For po files you can find lots of web pages giving you
the stats, for man pages you can find lots of bug reports (like
this one) by users complaining that they are outdated.

I like the current way of working with xml. It gives me much more
 freedom over .po.
  * I do not need to follow the original structure so closely

Yes, this is a major drawback, because especially around examples the
english version cannot be nicley translated into German also (e.g. the
english version manages to put the entire description *before* the
next paragraph with an example, while in German some words would have
to go *after* the example as well, which is impossible since there is
no paragraph there ...)

  * I can add footnotes or whole paragraphs specific for our language

I only know very few examples where language specific content should
be added, and sometimes (e.g. for charsets) this would be good for
upstream as well, but yes, there are (some) cases.

  * It is easier to locate the context

The po file is typically chronologically sorted, and you can easily
build the man pages in a second (x)term for preview/review.

But as far as I understood, this switch is an option, not mandatory.

Greetings

   Helge

Bug#410135: slrn: Charset fallback causes regular segfaults when expunging

2007-02-09 Thread Bas Zoetekouw
I've tracked it down to this hunk:

 +#ifdef USE_ICONV /* we've copied this string */
 +  slrn_free (h-from);
 +#endif

This triggers a double free. With slrn_free (h-from); removed slrn
 works w/o segfaults.

Yes, that's what I expected. However, simply removing the slrn_free()
will result in lots of memleaks.
I'm not sure what is happening, because the h-from is explicitly malloced
in process_xover(), which is also the only place in the source (afaics)
where any Slrn_Header_Type is malloced.
So, the only thing I can think of is that slrn messes with the from field
somewhere lese in the code. I'll try looking into it later today...

Hi,
I just want to point out, so far after each test I brought the system back
into the beginning state (kernel, dmsetup-package, etc).

 Yes, that's good.

I just wanted to make shure, we are stil talking about the same setup :)

Could you please try a new compile, this time, skip the previously
mentioned patch and instead do the following changes:

In fs/block_dev.c, add the following at the end of the function bd_claim()
 (just before the return):

 printk(claim: %d:%d %p - %d\n,
MAJOR(bdev-bd_dev), MINOR(bdev-bd_dev), holder, res);

In the same file, add to the end of the function bd_release():

 printk(release: %d:%d\n,
MAJOR(bdev-bd_dev), MINOR(bdev-bd_dev));

Recompile, install, reboot, try cryptsetup, and then send me the entire
 dmesg output

It is attached; the way I see it, 9:0 is claimed during the setup of the
md-device but never released.

This is very annoying to anyone who is in Sametime Group Chat with
anyone using Gaim ...

Please see this gaim bug:

Bug#410310: xview-clients: /usr/X11R6/bin/owplaces tries to exec 'xtoolplaces' which is not in debian

2007-02-09 Thread J S Bygott
Package: xview-clients
Version: 3.2p1.4-19
Severity: normal

This package ships a short script
   (sarge) /usr/X11R6/bin/owplaces
   (etch) /usr/bin/owplaces

The sarge version, at least, merely tries to exec 'xtoolplaces'. However,
packages.debian.org lists no such file in either stable or testing.

  Package Contents Search Results

You have searched for xtoolplaces in testing, architecture i386.
Can't find that file, at least not in that distribution and on that
  architecture.

Perhaps owplaces (which has no manpage) should just be removed?
Assuming the package itself lives on, that is... :-)

Bug#391846: shfs-source 0.35-6.2 does not compile with kernel 2.6.19.1

 Hi,

 Sune Vuorela :
You really need to be more informative about your system and about
  what fails.

The system is a Debian/Unstable, it has been upgraded recently
 (a few hours ago).
 Linux kernel version is 2.6.20.

I just built and installed it nicely with m-a a-i shfs.

  $ uname -r
  2.6.18-1-vserver-k7

I could compile the package for a 2.6.18 kernel nicely, too.

sid has 2.6.18, so I don't think this bug should be regarded as release
critical.

Cheers,

Bug#410314: aklog regression in behavior with Kerberos 1.6

2007-02-09 Thread Sam Hartman
package: openafs-krb5
Version: 1.4.2-3

Kerberos in experimental will return null realm names for
krb5_get_realm_of_host when no domain_realm mapping exists. That's
fine but aklog assumes that it knows the realm. You actually want to
try afs/cell@ (null realm) because if your kdc has referrals this is
good. But if your kerberos supports this behavior and if you get a
null realm you want to fall back to cell as realm or to first
component of db server removed from db server as realm.

Bug#409875: [Pkg-cryptsetup-devel] Bug#409875: bug #409875

 Hi,
I just want to point out, so far after each test I brought the system back
into the beginning state (kernel, dmsetup-package, etc).

Yes, that's good.

Could you please try a new compile, this time, skip the previously
mentioned patch and instead do the following changes:

In fs/block_dev.c, add the following at the end of the function bd_claim()
(just before the return):

printk(claim: %d:%d %p - %d\n,
   MAJOR(bdev-bd_dev), MINOR(bdev-bd_dev), holder, res);

In the same file, add to the end of the function bd_release():

printk(release: %d:%d\n,
   MAJOR(bdev-bd_dev), MINOR(bdev-bd_dev));

Recompile, install, reboot, try cryptsetup, and then send me the entire
dmesg output
