Bonjour,

le champ "Section" du fichier de contrôle des paquets Debian ne sert
qu'à organiser l'archive Debian, le système de distribtion de nos
paquets.  Il n'a aucun impact sur l'organisation du bureau une fois le
paquet installé.

Forgot that Chromium was running full screen. Doh!
Changing Cinnamon > System Settings > Themes from Bluebird Window borders
theme to "Default" Window borders theme works with Nemo, etc. And then
changing Controls theme from Green Laguna to Adwaita makes Gnome program
windows "behave".

Ugly, but consistent . . .

Je me pose tout de même la question, dans mes lectures pour créer un
paquet .deb, j'ai lu à propos du fichier control et de la ligne Section :

Section : la catégorie dans laquelle mettre le paquet.
 Les paquet Debian sont répartis en différentes parties : main (logiciels 
libres), non-free (logiciels non libres), et contrib (logiciels libres qui 
dépendent de logiciels non libres).
 Chacune d’entre elles est divisée en sections qui classent les paquets en 
catégories.

C'est naturellement la première chose à faire. Il n'empêche que c'est
insuffisant, au moins sur cette carte-mère, puisque la clef USB est
compatible UEFI (j'ai vérifié) et que même en cas de configuration
"d'abord UEFI puis legacy", ça ne fonctionne pas. Il faut virer toute
trace UEFI de la configuration.

Il n'empêche qu'il devient de plus en plus tordu d'installer autre
chose que Windows sur des cartes-mères modernes.

Par exemple, si tu démarres sur un cdrom non uefi, le système passera en 
mode non uefi.


Avec cette option, quand tu fais tu demandes à faire apparaitre la liste 
des périphériques bootables pour choisir sur lequel tu veux booter, il y 
aura alors un double choix pour tous les périphériques (sauf peut-être 
le réseau?):

mode UEFI
mode normal

ce qui te permet d'adapter facilement le mode de boot au type de support 
que tu as...


Sur certains bios, tu peux aussi choisir dans quel ordre le système 
essayera de booter:

mode UEFI
mode normal
(et inversement)
A priori, pour chaque périphérique sur lequel il essaye de booter, il 
teste en mode UEFI puis en mode normal (et inversement) si ca ne marche

Gracias por la sugerencia. Ese programa no esta mal, pero tiene un 
inconveniente para mi, no me deja pegar comentarios, y como dije tengo 
una lista de hashtag quisiera copiar y pegar y no tener que escribirlo 
todo cada vez que subo una foto, si lo hace Gramblr pero es solo para 
Windows y Mac no para Linux.

Haha désolé, je n'ai suivi la discussion que d'un oeil, et, c'est ce que
j'ai compris du lien partagé par Bernard.

Si le réseau est mal configuré, peut être qu'il faut le router,
justement, mais, je ne suis pas très bon en réseau, par contre, c'est
Bernard qui m'a permis de faire tourner mon wiki sur le Alienware, donc,
j'aurais plutôt confiance dans les liens qu'il partage.

first of all you seem to not have understood how dmarc works. invest some
more time in reading and properly configuring your rules.
secondly this is normal to receive reports. you should also send such
reports if you like of course.
lastly you do not disable - just trash them (for example to /dev/null) if
you are not interested, but usually analyses are done based on those
reports, so that you know what is going on with your mail domain.
you also use those mails to configure your dmarc rules properly.

if i had no other preferences, i'd use program "bc" in an xterm with
enormous scroll buffer.
Run in some shell window:

  xterm -fg black -bg wheat -sl 10 &

and then in the newly emerged xterm shell window

  bc

(My virtual paper is of eco-friendly color. I do not let xterm start bc
 directly, because then on bc xommand "quit" the paper would vanish.)

No he conseguido nada, pero he encontrado en este hilo :

un comentario que entiendo que dice que es el procesador el que decide
si activa o no la cache, no sé con que criterio y tampoco si realmente
es así.

Otra cosa que he descubierto es que el arranque de Debian reconoce la
placa como un laptop Compaq cuando en realidad es una semi torre, no sé
si sería indicativo de algo.


¿Has intentado probar con una distro live a ver si es problema de ese 
procesador en particular o el kernel o la distribución, etc.?


Otra cosa que puedes hacer es escribir directamente a la gente de 
soporte de intel;  tal vez se apiaden de ti y te den alguna información.

dc can do this if you don't mind the command line and remember your tape
in this case is called a stack.  This is important to remember since
commands exist in dc if you use them that will destroy the stack either
immediately or slowly.  There is a command in dc to print the entire
stack which is what you will find useful too.

x2go reverse proxy

	Je cherche à prendre la main sur des machines distantes à l'autre bout 
du monde. Pour ce faire, je pense à quelque chose qui pourrait être un 
reverse proxy pour x2go (ou tout autre chose du même genre). Pour 
l'instant, j'utilise x11vnc, mais c'est très plantogène. Sur un réseau 
local, ça fonctionne sans souci, en passant sur internet, c'est une 
autre affaire. Dès qu'un paquet se perd, la session plante.


	J'ai en entrée un VPN entre un serveur NetBSD (serveur local) et le 
serveur distant (Linux/Debian). Derrière le serveur distant, j'ai une 
dizaine de postes tournant avec Windows 7 (32 ou 64 bits) ou Linux 
Debian (pour les nouvelles machines, celles-ci faisant tourner 
virtualbox pour utiliser des progiciels qui ne tournent 
qu'officiellement avec XP et W7 en bidouillant).


	Je peux installer un serveur x2go sur chaque client. Mais je trouve 
plus propre d'installer un genre de proxy sur le serveur distant. Est-ce 
possible ?

Quelques précisions :
- Le secure boot est désactivé.
- la clef USB est bootable sur mon PC portable (pas UEFI). J'ai essayé 
toutes les options côté machines à installer sans succès.

- je n'arrive pas à avoir le menu de grub.
- en désespoir de cause, j'ai mis à jour le bios.


	Je me réponds à moi-même. J'ai enfin réussi à faire booter la chose. 
J'ai commencé à 8h00 ce matin, c'est donc mon record. ;-)


Pour ce faire :
- mettre le bios à jour pour la dernière version (1205) ;
- désactiver le secure boot en virant la clef PK (et que celle-là, 
sinon, le machin se réactive dans le dos de l'utilisateur) ;
- désactiver l'UEFI (pas capable de booter sur le réseau sinon, plus 
exactement avec l'UEFI, la machine boote à moitié, s'arrêtant après le 
chargement du PXE) en ne gardant que les options "legacy" ;
- utiliser le netboot de buster, celui de stretch a un noyau un peu 
ancien (il faut visiblement un 4.10 pour supporter correctement la 
carte-mère).


Moyennant cela, on finit par arriver à démarrer la chose par le réseau.

	Je n'ai pas réussi à démarrer la machine à partir d'un port USB (USB2 
ou 3), le comportement étant quelque peu erratique. Naturellement, la 
clef utilisée fonctionne parfaitement sur d'autres machines.

Vrai dans le cas général, et il faut privilégier les dépots Debian tant
qu'on peut, mais des outils spécialisés comme les IDE font partie des
exceptions. Il m'est arrivé de prendre Eclipse ou Netbeans à la source pour
avoir une version plus récente. Dans ces cas là, souvent, je me contente
d'un raccourci sur le bureau.

 apt show lsb-base

is sufficient to answer your question.

It’s 99% false positive from ClamAV, because I found this on one of my servers, 
so I ordered a fresh new one and after distro updates I only installed ClamAV 
and did a full scan and it reported systemd-mount being infected.

It was, for me, an inappropriate "recommends" of a package I do use.
The system I'm currently using is intentionally obese. However it is a 
useful data point for my for my "extremely minimalist Debian" project.

Quelques précisions :
- Le secure boot est désactivé.
- la clef USB est bootable sur mon PC portable (pas UEFI). J'ai essayé 
toutes les options côté machines à installer sans succès.

- je n'arrive pas à avoir le menu de grub.
- en désespoir de cause, j'ai mis à jour le bios.

That raises a general question of installer priorities - is it installed 
by default. I need to go re-read installer documentation.
When I did 'apt-cache --installed rdepends lsb-base' it showed packages 
which I explicitly use on a daily basis.

A more informative {for my purposes} is:
'apt-cache --installed rdepends lsb-base'

C'est pas comme ca qu'on installe un logiciel sous linux. Eclipse est
dans les dépots, il faut donc l'installer avec ton gestionnaire de
paquets favori, genre synaptic ou encore apt install eclipse

Lors de l'installation, éclipse se mettra tout seul dans le menu qui va
bien.

Ca dépend quel bureau tu utilise. Sous mate c'est clic droit sur le
menu, puis "éditer le menu". Sous d'autres bureaux (genre kde, ou gnome,
ou xfce ou autres)… je sais pas. Dis nous quel bureau tu utilise.

There are lots of files here! Do I need all of them?


In most cases it is not necessary to download and use all of these
images to be able to install Debian on your computer. Debian comes
with a massive set of software packages, hence why it takes so many
disks for a complete set. Most typical users only need a small subset
of those software packages.

Initially, you will only need to download and use the first image of a
set (labelled as debian-something-1 to be able to start the Debian
installer and set up Debian on your computer. If there are more images
available here (labelled debian-something-2, debian-something-3,
etc.), they contain the extra packages that can be installed on a
Debian system (as mentioned previously). They will not be bootable and
are entirely optional. If you have a fast Internet connection, you're
most likely better off installing any desired extra packages directly
from the Debian mirrors on the Internet instead of by using these
extra images.

peux lancer pour démarrer Eclipse.

J'aimerais ajouter un raccourci dans le menu démarrer, dans la partie
"Développement".

Pouvez vous me renvoyer vers un tutoriel fonctionnel, car, j'ai testé
mais sans succès pour le moment.

les périphériques de votre réseau local pour utiliser le raspi comme
passerelle par défaut. Cela devrait vous permettre de partager la
connexion de votre iPhone au LAN.

   Apache configuration. Due to the use of environment variables, apache2
   needs to be started/stopped with '/etc/init.d/apache2', apachectl, or

   default configuration. To call apache2 with specific command line
   arguments, just call apache2ctl with the same arguments.

I guess both of your problems vanish after you use apache2ctl instead.

The fix is pretty easy. Whats really bugging me is that nobody
dares to touch the complex code of lsb-base. IMHO this is a clear
indication that Debian lost the blessed path other Unixes do follow.

What is your suggestion here? Apply the patch I provided (or maybe a
better one), or get rid of lsb-base completely?


My suggestion is unless you are prepared to adopt and maintain lsb-base,
(as Didier has made clear he wants to orphan it), find an alternative
tool to achieve what you want.

The "pidof -c" is just a workaround. In your case pidofproc would
fall back into the current (broken) functionality, AFAICS. A *clean*
solution would give /bin/pidof the boot and rely upon the PID files
in /run only.

This is not the problem here. The problem is that things like this
don't get fixed because its pretty complex code for an easy task.
Changing it might have unforeseeable side effects and nobody dares
to touch it.

If you have an internet connection available it's probably safe to only 
use the first dvd.


The other two dvds are more packages (programs) that you might need, the 
pkgs can always be installed at a later time.


Note that those are torrent files; you will need a bittorrent 
application to download the "real" iso file.
