Hi,

I have tested scenario[1] with two ESB servers with port offsets. Both
servers (accepts HTTPS requests via port values 9443 and 9446) listen to
port 6071 (refer log message below) when installing features from feature
manager.

Current implementation does not add port offset to port values in
axis2_client.xml. Port value is defined in SimpleHTTPServer.java[2] (line

IIRC openid4java library expects the association handle to be in a specific
format - so you cannot have a generated UUID there..

If you change it to UUID and test it you will see the exact issue..

 The generate method is synchronized. According to the code, this is needed
 to avoid conflicts with having duplicate handle values.

  public synchronized Association generate(String type, int expiryIn)

   throws AssociationException {

   String handle = storeId + timestamp + - + counter++;

   Association association = Association.generate(type, handle,
 expiryIn);

   // caching the association

   log.debug(Stroing association  + association.getHandle()

   +  in the database.);

   new
 OpenIDAssociationDAO(associationStoreType).storeAssociation(association);

   return association;

}

 Suggested code is below. The getUUID() method is already synchronized.

 import org.apache.ws.security.util.UUIDGenerator;

 public Association generate(String type, int expiryIn)

   throws AssociationException {

   String handle = UUIDGenerator.getUUID();

   Association association = Association.generate(type, handle,
 expiryIn);

   // caching the association

   cache.addToCache(association);

   log.debug(Stroing association  + association.getHandle()

   new
 OpenIDAssociationDAO(associationStoreType).storeAssociation(association);

}

 Was there any specific requirement to generate the handle like below ?
 storeId + timestamp + - + counter++;

Re: [Dev] [IS] OpenID Association Handle generation Logic and Performance Improvement

2014-09-03 Thread Tharindu Edirisinghe
Hi Prabath,

Thanks for the response. In that case I guess following code change would
be better than making the generate() method synchronized.

public Association generate(String type, int expiryIn)

  throws AssociationException {

  String handle = storeId + timestamp + - + *getCounter()*;

  Association association = Association.generate(type, handle,
expiryIn);

  // caching the association

  cache.addToCache(association);

  // persisting in the database

  log.debug(Stroing association  + association.getHandle()

  +  in the database.);

  new
OpenIDAssociationDAO(associationStoreType).storeAssociation(association);

  return association;

   }

*private synchronized int getCounter(){*

*   return counter++;*

 *}*

 Hi Prabath,

 Thanks for the response. In that case I guess following code change would
 be better than making the generate() method synchronized.

 public Association generate(String type, int expiryIn)

   Association association = Association.generate(type, handle,

 IIRC openid4java library expects the association handle to be in a

 If you change it to UUID and test it you will see the exact issue..

 I am working on some performance improvements on OpenID in Identity
 Server (using the IS 3.2.3). The method to generate Associations is
 synchronized and so it will lock the entire method. As I see, the reason
 for this is to avoid duplicate values for association handle.

 components/identity/org.wso2.carbon.identity.provider/3.2.0/src/main/java/org/wso2/carbon/identity/provider/openid/OpenIDServerAssociationStore.java

 The generate method is synchronized. According to the code, this is
 needed to avoid conflicts with having duplicate handle values.

  public synchronized Association generate(String type, int expiryIn)

   throws AssociationException {

   String handle = storeId + timestamp + - + counter++;

   Association association = Association.generate(type, handle,
 expiryIn);

   // caching the association

   cache.addToCache(association);

   // persisting in the database

   log.debug(Stroing association  + association.getHandle()

   +  in the database.);

   new
 OpenIDAssociationDAO(associationStoreType).storeAssociation(association);

   return association;

}

 Suggested code is below. The getUUID() method is already synchronized.

 import org.apache.ws.security.util.UUIDGenerator;

 public Association generate(String type, int expiryIn)

   throws AssociationException {

   String handle = UUIDGenerator.getUUID();

   Association association = Association.generate(type, handle,
 expiryIn);

   // caching the association

   cache.addToCache(association);

   // persisting in the database

   log.debug(Stroing association  + association.getHandle()

   +  in the database.);

   new
 OpenIDAssociationDAO(associationStoreType).storeAssociation(association);

   return association;

}

 Was there any specific requirement to generate the handle like below ?
 storeId + timestamp + - + counter++;

 Any thoughts ??

[Dev] Set dynamic endpoints in a BPEL

2014-09-03 Thread Mahesh Chinthaka
Hi,

Is there a way to set dynamic endpoints in a bpel. Normally what we do is
set end points in wsdl file , then create archive and deploy.

What I need to do is, send some endpoints as input parameters along with
request message, then the bpel will call the service with those endpoints.
Same service will be called (TenantMgtAdminService).

And one more thing, number of endpoints will also vary.

Seeking for help to figure out a way to do this..

Thanks in advance,

Re: [Dev] ESB connector: SSL Handshake Exception

2014-09-03 Thread Malaka Silva
Hi Keerthika,

I guess api required a certificate to be installed on sender side.

Follow the following steps

i) Extract the certificate from browser by navigating to apiUrl

ii) Navigate to ESB_HOME/repository/resources/security/ using command
prompt and execute keytool -importcert -file CERT_FILE_NAME -keystore
client-truststore.jks -alias CERT_NAME in command line to import api
certificate in to keystore. Give wso2carbon as password. NOTE :
CERT_FILE_NAME is the file name which was extracted from api, change it
accordingly CERT_NAME is name of the certificate.

Best Regards,
Malaka

Re: [Dev] ESB Connector - SSLHandshakeException

2014-09-03 Thread Udara Liyanage
Hi,

ESB should trust the server you are trying to connect to in order to create
a SSH handshake. In order to trust it, the public certificate of the server
should be added to ESB. You can use keytool to add the certificate to
client-trustore. Please find a guide on [1] which shows how to add a CA to
ESB trust store.

Re: [Dev] Cassandra-thrift dependency on carbon-utils

2014-09-03 Thread Gayashan Amarasinghe
Hi Sagara,

I have fixed the mentioned issues in the previous PRs and resent the
following PR to carbon-utils. We can close the previous PRs (#14, #15, #16)
without merging them.

 +1 for removing the cassandra-thrift and hector-core dependencies from
 the carbon-utils repo since carbon-utils is depended upon by many products.
 If we are to remove these dependencies then we have to remove the
 CassandraLogProvider from the package as well. Since this is a useful class
 for some of the products however we have to move this class to a different
 repo, which ensures that this can be used by products as and when needed. I
 will send a separate mail regarding this.

 I'll also resend the pull request with the changes.

 Thanks.

2014-09-03 Thread Gayan Dhanushka
Hi Anuruddha/Samith,

+1 for replacing the corrupted pom files with the correct ones. But these
are transitive dependencies and we can avoid having them in our build by
using an exclusion. You can add the following section in the pom file under
you dependancy.

exclusions
exclusion
groupId*/groupId
artifactId*/artifactId
/exclusion
/exclusions

This is supported in maven 3.2.1 and later [1].

Re: [Dev] Set dynamic endpoints in a BPEL

2014-09-03 Thread Amal Gunatilake
Hi Mahesh,

Following documentation[1] has the explanation for setting endpoint
references through EPR files by modifying them in registry.

However as I understood in your case you are sending those endpoint
references through the request and epr count may vary. AFAIK this is not
possible since in-order to create the BPEL you need to archive the wsdl as
a BPEL content to generate the relevant variables(request, response, role,
partnerLink). So if you could identify all the endpoints that are going to
be exist then, you can load all the relevant wsdls correspondent to those
services and then set the endpoint references through registry resources.
Whenever there is change on the EPR you can update them easily in the
registry without modifying the BPEL artifact.

@Hasitha: please update if I have miss anything.

Thank you   Best regards,

Re: [Dev] Set dynamic endpoints in a BPEL

2014-09-03 Thread Godwin Amila Shrimal
Hi Amal,

Here we know what exactly the wsdl, in our case we use only
*TenantMgtAdminService,
*but endpoint IP address and Port should be dynamic. We are passing IP
address and Port to the BPEL.

Ex. We send 3 IP addresses and 3 Ports (which are respectively ESB, AS,
BPS Servers) to the BPEL, then BPEL should invoke the *TenantMgtAdminService
*in those 3 servers.

Thanks
Godwin

 Same service will be called (TenantMgtAdminService).

 IS team;

The new perf improvement we did at Oauth component has broken the token

In the new implementation, we save the tokens in a queue and allowing BE

Looks like now, tokens are not persisting at all. I have waited more than

You can check the behavior in AM pack[2], when you regenerate token for an

[Dev] [SS] [IS] Programmatically Creating Service Providers at Server Start Up

2014-09-03 Thread Dhanuka Ranasinghe
Hi,

When I was working on $Subject, found that this can't be done due to not
having an OSGi service from IS level but only admin service. AFAIK, it's
not recommend to call admin service unless server boot up.

Use Case:

SS has static/system resources (environments, instances and databases), so
we need to assign defaults permissions (if not already assigned) for these
at server start up. For that we need to first create service provider and
then store permissions according to available resources.

Approaches tried out:

1. Used application management configuration
(repository/conf/identity/service-provider/default.xml). By doing that it's
not got persisted into database/registry instead it keeps all the service
provider information in a static hash map (in memory). Since changes done
to in memory not got persisted it will be lost at server reboot.

2. Called admin service programmatically , this is not recommended since
carbon context and other services may not already activated.

At this moment solution what we can see is, implementing an OSGi service
for application management operations.
@Johann, WDYT?

Cheers,
Dhanuka

[Dev] XACML cache invalidation notification when changes are made to Identities

2014-09-03 Thread Hasintha Indrajee
Hi Asela,

I am working on the issue [1]. Can you please elaborate bit on the cache
implementation of PIP side in XACML. As far as I noticed, as a solution for
the bug part of the issue, invalidating Attribute cache and Decision cache
is sufficient when an update occurs to user information (when firing user
management listener).

Are we using hazelcast for caching in XACML ? If not do we need to send
cluster messages on the event of cache invalidation ?. Has this been
already implemented in any of the caches in XACML ?

What are the usages (differences) of DecisionCache
and DecisionInvalidationCache ?

only in build servers.

To do that add the following property to surefire configuration

skipTests${skipUiTests}/skipTests

Then add following property to ui module pom.

  properties

skipUiTeststrue/skipUiTests

/properties

To run the UI tests, you need to use following command.

mvn install -DskipUiTests=false

Hi
When I read your description and code segments [2] what I understood was
you are having a problem with referring to a separate js file from a html
page. When I read the [1] and exception trace what I understood was when
you referred to an external js file you are having some troubles calling
the java method. However assuming latter is the case, may be changing the
order of your js imports will help.
BTW jaggery facilitates the same thing you are trying to achieve here.
Can't you use jaggery for your implementation?

[Dev] LifeCycle TEST automation for WSO2 EAM

2014-09-03 Thread Kasun Dissanayake
Hi All,

I was working on [1] and tested it. The way I've done it, is, hit the
gateway URL and check the response code is 302. But I realize that was
wrong when the gateway url is once hit it will redirect to IS and it will
always give me 302.

Since the gateway URL is handled by SAML and cookies for the following
flow, the test case will be very lengthy.

*Create app = publish app = login to store = Subscribe the app = test
weather the gateway url is hit*

or

*= unpublish the app = test weather the app is hit*.

My suggestion is to do as follow.

1)* Create app = login store = test the app is visible in the store (App
is visible only the app is published)*
2) *= publish app = login to store = test the app can be subscribed.*
3) *Change the state to unpublish (this will cover other states as well) =
login to store = test the app is visible in the store*

Over all three test cases will be covered as for LifyCycleTest class.

Above mentioned scenarios are fine. Chamila/Thilini/Roshan/Jena has written
test cases to create - publish and subscribe an app. You should be able to
reuse them for [1], [2]. In addition to checking whether particular app
appears/removed on store once app is in publish/unpublish state, we need to
validate whether the invocation is success or not as well. This is to

Re: [Dev] LifeCycle TEST automation for WSO2 EAM

2014-09-03 Thread Rushmin Fernando
I think the apps which has been published are invokable test scenario
should be divided into following sub scenarios.

1. Published apps are shown in the store
2. A user who can sign in to the store can subscribe to apps in store
3. Apps which are visible in my subscriptions section are invokable.

I think this way its much more cleaner and is an end to end test. WDYT?

Re: [Dev] calling javascript methods in an external js file from gwt JSNI native mthods

2014-09-03 Thread Awanthika Senarath
Hi Danushka,

I don't think Jaggery is an option as we are using this to implement a
jQuery, JavaScript and jsplumb based application in GWT. I am having the
problem in calling the js page functions from the JSNI native Java methods.
The js file is imported from html page. GWT compiles my Java code to
JavaScript and calls the js page. But the error to my understanding states
that the source js file is unknown in gwt context.

thanks and regards
Awanthika

 the java method. However assuming latter is the case, may be changing the
 order of your js imports will help.
 BTW jaggery facilitates the same thing you are trying to achieve here.
 Can't you use jaggery for your implementation?

 was given for QA on the 3rd July was only 301M. The size of the packs seems

 Hi Sameera,

 Are we going to implement this approach immediately?

 We observed that recent EAM (Enterprise App Manager) pack is bit bulky.
 The compressed distribution is 401 MB and it becomes 746M when extracted
 and started . After removing the kernel patches the size becomes 426M.

 Subject: Service Pack for Carbon Kernel 4.2.0

 Hi Folks,

 We are in the process of creating a service pack out of all the nine
 Carbon kernel patches. From now onwards, products which will be released
 from 4.2.0 branch do not need to pack all the nine patches. They can simply
 pack the servicepack001. This will reduce the size of product distributions
 as well.

 Please holler if there are any problems on this approach to the support
 patching process.

 Thanks,
 Sameera.

 @Johann, WDYT?

 wrong when the gateway url is once hit it will redirect to IS and it will
 always give me 302.

 Since the gateway URL is handled by SAML and cookies for the following
 flow, the test case will be very lengthy.

 *Create app = publish app = login to store = Subscribe the app =
 test weather the gateway url is hit*

 or

 *= unpublish the app = test weather the app is hit*.

 My suggestion is to do as follow.

 1)* Create app = login store = test the app is visible in the store
 (App is visible only the app is published)*
 2) *= publish app = login to store = test the app can be
 subscribed.*
 3) *Change the state to unpublish (this will cover other states as
 well) = login to store = test the app is visible in the store*

 Above mentioned scenarios are fine. Chamila/Thilini/Roshan/Jena has
 written test cases to create - publish and subscribe an app. You should be
 able to reuse them for [1], [2]. In addition to checking whether particular
 app appears/removed on store once app is in publish/unpublish state, we
 need to validate whether the invocation is success or not as well. This is
 to ensure, synapse api get deployed properly in-addition to saving wep
 -app artifacts into registry and db in each lifecycle state.

 Regadrs,
 Dinusha.

 Over all three test cases will be covered as for LifyCycleTest class.

 WDYT ?

[Dev] [DEV][APIM] writing automation tests for APIM

2014-09-03 Thread Waruna Perera
Hi,

Amalka and me started doing above $subject by following[1]. When following
some of the test cases available we found that API calls in publisher[2]
and store are limited. The search API functions are covered by calling host
objects. I have few questions regarding that.

Do we have a plan to provide other API calls in publisher and store?
Do we need uniformity with test cases? (some via API calls and others with
direct host object calls)

 Hi,

 When I was working on $Subject, found that this can't be done due to not
 having an OSGi service from IS level but only admin service. AFAIK, it's
 not recommend to call admin service unless server boot up.

 Use Case:

 SS has static/system resources (environments, instances and databases),
 so we need to assign defaults permissions (if not already assigned) for
 these at server start up. For that we need to first create service provider
 and then store permissions according to available resources.

 +1. The only cleaner approach available for us to achieve this would be to
 have an OSGi API exposed from the application management component. I
 believe, this is going to be useful not only for us, but also for anyone
 else who may come across the same need as this appears to be a pretty
 common use-case across the platform. Can we please have this implemented
 sometime soon?
