Same here; I've updated to latest firmware 7.7.3 and still same problem. From the screenshots on my Android remote, looks like all Clear Channel station icons are greyed out meaning no data is coming in. But some Clear Channel stations are still streaming. I suspect, iHeartRadio is playing around with new video flash streams and that's what's causing the problem. Why can't anyone uncover their audio URL? It should be easy. Just find a URL that's pumping out sounds. Hi, I'm a big user of Slim Devices and have been for more than 10 years but this is my first time on the forum. Did I miss something or has Logitech officially made an end of life announcement for this platform? I know there has been little love from the mothership recently but it seems in the past 2 years support has completely disappeared. Sorry if I'm going over old ground. The TOUCH was discontinued more than two years ago. And the RADIO or UE RADIO was discontinued more than a year ago (could be two years at this point, I lose track). [slim] Latest Plex updates Music features
I'm a big fan and user of Plex which I use to manage all my Videos that I play to various computers and Roku devices around the house. While I am a long time Squeezebox user and love its flexibility and community resources, I also feel it is dropping further and further behind in the web interface due to it being in maintenance mode only. If Logitech was still active in developing the product one could hope that new HTML5 web interfaces would eventually be developed? Got set up with a Spotify Premium for a month free to try it out Easy to get it going on Squeezebox thanks to guidance available on this site - many thanks. But and it is a HUGE but with the 3rd party SPOTIFY plugin you can only stream to 1 Squeezebox at a time... a serious regression to the multiple I could have with Napster... and simply not going to work in my household... So we have a short term fix, which will cause some serious arguments so VERY short term. So options as I see them... - bite the bullet, move reluctantly over to SONOS - reckon it is £600 of hardware I need to buy - replace 2 Duet Receivers and my Slim Device with 3 Touch. Might not work out much cheaper and how long before these suffer something similar? Thoughts? I'm thinking Squeezebox has reached it's natural end now? If I switch and keep Napster/Rhapsody at least I don't need to rebuild all my catalogues... Newer services often no longer encrypt their streams because rights holders today are less paranoid, they understand that it's not their paying customers who are trying to rob them. But Rhapsody is one of the first services around, they have old contracts and these contracts require the end-to-end encryption. The WiFi encryption won't help, you know your password. Remember: it's YOU who they want to prevent from directly accessing the streams. The purpose is to make sure that YOU cannot record the streams. And yes, I'm well aware you still can... And yes, I'm also aware you probably wouldn't, but that's what this all about. Thanks Pippin for the early suggestion. I have taken a look at Deezer and it looks promising. Have set up a free account, got it set up on my NAS LMS and started to have a play. Was not impressed with the User interface at all so after a bit more digging into options came across ickStream. Installed that and hey presto, a great user interface to front Deezer. Feel like I am getting somewhere BUT (another but) - only getting first 30 seconds of each track when played through ickStream. Any ideas what might be wrong? Hm, which account type do you have? Does it play full tracks through MySqueezebox.com? Sure Cheztaz. Firstly, please know that I run LMS on a QNAP NAS. You need to get the IckStream plugin (I got it here for Linux - http://repository.ickstream.com/squeezebox/repository-linux.xml). Then configure that to access a Deezer account, which you also need to set up, premium account, £9.99 a month (same as I currently pay for Napster but soon won't be). The IckStream plug in is a nice user interface and front end to sit in front of streaming services that don't have a very good user interface provided by default through the app centre. Yep, that appears to be it Pippin. Have subscribed to the full service (free month trial) and it now plays whole track. Got it working on Slim Device, Receiver and Radio. My much cherished Squeezeboxes have had a stay of execution with Deezer and IckStream looking a very adequate replacement for Napster. Thank you for the reply. I have a black Logitech radio that I bought at Best Buy in 2011. The M/N # is X-R0001 if that helps. I have quite a few stations/streams saved in my Favorites on the radio - not on my PC. I connect to the Internet using the router that is connected to my PC. I'm sorry, I really didn't understand what you were trying to tell me in your reply. Should I unplug my router and then plug it back in? I have done nothing to change the Administrator - whatever that means. For years, I just turned the Logitech radio on and then I select which station I want to listen to. That's it. I haven't changed any settings. The only time I go to Settings is to set the sleep timer. I really appreciate your patience. I know I can listen by connecting my smartphone to a speaker but that is a hassle. I just like having a couple of Internet radios permanently set up in my house. Any more feedback for this dummy would be very welcome. Technically possible: sure. Allowed by Rhapsody: probably not, they have end-to-end encryption in their security concept, they have to assure that. That's the whole reason for all this hassle. Also: it can't be simply a plugin, plugins are being distributed as source code, everybody would get the keys. It would have to be something more complex and secure, such as libspotify. You can play spotify to as many synched players as you want. Thank you so much to everyone who responded to my plea for help! I had unplugged the radio several times over the last few days, but I plugged it back in within seconds. That didn't fix the connection problem. But an hour or so ago I unplugged it and brought it to the room where my PC is to send a post about the name, model #, etc of the radio. When, a few minutes later, I took it back into the room where I had it and plugged it back in, after the usual booting, it started up!! Yeay! The next time I'll know to just unplug it for at least a minute or two. I also appreciate the suggestion to unplug my router. I was going to try that next. I'm embarrassed that it took such a simple thing to fix it, but am so happy to have it working again.
