Re: [Elecraft] P3 or KRX3

2010-08-15 Thread Don Wilhelm
Bob,

You are partially correct. To be specific, LP-PAN is a glorified
Softrock plus Clifton Labs Z1 with transformer coupling to the
soundcard, all dressed up in an enclosure. If you compare the price of
all those pieces (particularly the enclosure), the price of the LP-PAN
is not out of line, in fact it is quite inexpensive. These days, it is
not unusual for the cost of an enclosure to exceed the price of the
electronics inside it - just look at the prices for some of the
enclosures at DigiKey or Mouser - if it is not plastic, it is
expensive. I mounted mine in an Elecraft EC2 enclosure ($69.95) and
used the rest of the space for some antenna/transceiver switches and a
K3 breakout box, so the total cost of my LP-PAN equivalent exceeds the
cost of LP-PAN.

Actually, Tony does not currently have the Softrock 6.2 receiver for the
K3 IF available, so the relative price of that is a moot point.

Re: [Elecraft] K3 and PSK

2010-08-15 Thread Richard Ferch
Mike,

In answer to your question, you can tell whether there is modulation or
not by using the K3's Monitor function (the MON level must of course be
above zero for this to work).

As for the answer to the question you didn't ask, one possible explanation
for the lack of modulation is that your input level is set to zero. If you
are using DATA A mode and your sound card's output is connected to the
LINE IN jack, you can adjust the LINE level using the MIC gain control.
(If rotating this control adjusts the MIC level in DATA A mode, you can
correct this by setting MAIN:MIC SEL = LINE while the radio is in DATA A
mode. This will not affect the MIC SEL setting in voice modes.) A level
setting somewhere around LINE 10 should get some modulation into the
radio.

The way to set the correct levels for this control, together with the
sound card output level controls, is to set the K3's meter to read ALC and
adjust the levels until you get 4-5 bars of ALC reading while
transmitting. In PSK31, for the cleanest signal you should set the PWR
control to 50 watts or less (5 watts or less on a K3/10).

[Elecraft] Elecraft CW Net Report for August 15th & 16th, 2010

2010-08-15 Thread Kevin Rock
Good Evening,
Conditions were unsettled this afternoon. QSB on twenty meters had some
folks at S2 one moment and S9 the very next. Forty meters had some QRN as is
normal for summer on this band but only Scott was able to reach this far west.
Lately forty meters has not been very productive. Maybe we should change the
time.
Temperatures were mostly cool. Everyone was cooler than my 95 degrees; even
those south of me in California. Brian kept reporting 60 degree weather which
was the coolest report by far. ND, MN, and CT were all at 72 degrees with
clouds. Here I will have a hot few days. Until Wednesday this spate of heat
will stay above 90 degrees dropping over the next few days into the 60s.

   On to the lists =>

 On 14049.5 kHz at 2200z:
K1THP - Dave - CT - K3 - 686
AB9V - Mike - IN - K3 - 398
W0CZ - Ken - ND - K3 - 457
K0DTJ - Brian - CA - K3 - 4113
N0AR - Scott - MN - K2 - 4866
W8OV - Dave - TX - K3 - 3139

 On 7045 kHz at z:
N0AR - Scott - MN - K2 - 4866
K0DTJ - Brian - CA - K3 - 4113
K6PJV - Dale - CA - K3 - 1183
NK6A - Don - CA - K3 - 3569

Hopefully one day the bands will improve. I keep checking my antenna to see
if it is not broken. Every time I climb the ladder I find it is still in place
with no joints broken. I'll use my telescope to save the roof during these hot
days. Upside down and backwards is OK as long as I can see the lines at 80x or
so.
Until next week stay cool and please send me some rain. I am sure the fire
danger has increased this weekend so a nice round of fog from the Pacific would
help moisten the forests.
   73,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class)

[Elecraft] K3/P3 at hamfest

2010-08-15 Thread Jim Miller KG0KP
Interesting to say the least. Set up my K3/P3 at the St Charles (Missouri)
hamfest today facing the people with me there in front of it and them behind
me. People stopped, talked, and then I turned around and looked. A CROWD
watching, I know there were well over a dozen people there at that time. They
sold my table and the one I was reassigned to turned out to be on a corner and
there was a lot of room around it, like it was supposed to happen. The people
just didn't stop coming, asking questions and talking.

They know the Elecraft name and many knew the look of the K3. I had two books
there with the pictures and the Elecraft K3 on the covers with the manuals and
assembly procedures for the K3 and P3 while I played with my new P3 and the K3
and talked about and demostrated some of the features.

Drew another owner from the crowd. He had not seen the P3 and spent
considerable time there with questions and playing with it. To others, I
showed the assembly procedures and how easy it was and how detailed the
procedures were and that it was not hard at all to do the assembly and the time
it took.

Fun times. Was glad to have my P3 in time to make it happen. Worked out just
great.

(Hamfest was a success too, that always helps.)

Thanks again for a great product Elecraft es 73, de Jim KG0KP

[Elecraft] P3 SWL

2010-08-15 Thread gary bartlett
A day of two new things discovered about the P3:

The P3 is the dream tool for someone like me who would like to
know what's on the shortwave bands but who lacks the patience for tuning
aimlessly around. The waterfall display will take the boredom out of that
process with the push of a button. And then if one finds a short wave
station and narrows down the SPAN and starts playing with the mode switch
and tuning knob, more interesting things details can be discovered about the
integration of the P3 with the K3. You can lose a couple hours of playing
quite quickly. I hadn't anticipated this benefit whatsoever.

Also I found today that the waterfall display was useful for
determining which of my receive-only antennas is working best for me overall
for any given situation just by visual inspection of a hunk of spectrum and
toggling between antennas. Something else that I hadn't expected to be able
to do with the P3 (because I hadn't thought about it).

Re: [Elecraft] K1 and buddistick

2010-08-15 Thread Ron D'Eau Claire
I assume you know there's nothing "magic" about any antenna design. The
fundamental laws known since Maxwell's time have not changed (no matter what
the advertising hype of some antenna manufacturers suggest).

So a buddystick will work exactly as well as a hunk of wire in the same
location. If you can make the wire longer or get it higher it'll outperform
the buddystick.

What the buddystick (and buddypole) offer is *convenience* - and that can be
worth every dime of their cost if it's necessary to you.

My friends who have the products say they are very well made with quality
components and well-packaged.

The support is invaluable where there is no way to hold the antenna up off
of the ground (note the Buddi-ads show the antennas used on a beach or on a
mountain above the tree line).

So the decision is whether you are okay with using a minimalist antenna and,
if so, you want to pay the extra money for the convenience of having it
pre-packaged for you.

Gary wrote:

I've been experimenting with portable antennas for backpack operations
on camping trips for more than 30 years. I compare the various types
side by side at the same site. Result: The performance differential
between a simple resonant dipole and any of these expensive portable
verticals is typically at least 30 db. A dipole could be built for 20
and 40 meters for less tahn $10, and outperform these costly vertical
gimmick BS antennas by a factor of 1000 on transmit and receive.

So, in performance and cost differential, portable vertical antennas
really suck compared to a simple and cheap dipole. They only show:
(1) At many times, contacts can be made no matter how poor the antenna, and
(2) When a lot of money has been spent, owners will sing praises of the
very worst pieces of crap. (Just wait for such responses!)

Re: [Elecraft] P3 Cursor Position

2010-08-15 Thread The Smiths

Let's call Cyan "BLUE" most people will understand it better that way. Yes,
VFO A is blue and VFO B is pink. They can each show you the filter width. Turn
on "VFO B" in the menu to display the Pink width/shift "bracket" for VFO B, and
HOLD the Marker button to show the Pink VFO B marker. You don't have to have
both on at the same time.
The white line is the CENTER line that runs straight up the middle of your P3.
It splits right through the center of the K3's displayed Freq. at the top.

[Elecraft] Weird P3 Cursor Behavior or Bug ?

2010-08-15 Thread Phil Hystad
Previously I had posted a question about my cursor overlapping the center
frequency when I expected it (LSB) to be aligned so that the right edge was on
the center frequency.

Now, I reproduced it and I am going to guess at what happened. I was playing
with the MKR functions, MKRA and MKRB. I established MKRB and then moved the
marker frequency up a few KHz then I pushed the Select dial so as to move VFO B
of my K3 to that frequency. This all worked just like it is supposed to work.

Then, I removed the MKRB line and little Magenta cursor stayed on that position
of the screen. I am not sure if this was normal or not. The mode for VFO B
was CW with a narrow filter so the magenta cursor was likewise narrow.

Then, I tried to get rid of that cursor but nothing seemed to work (or, at
least I don't think anything happened). I went to the K3 to reset my VFO B for
a CW traffic net frequency for a little later this evening and then when I
switched back to VFO A using my K3 A-B button I noticed on the P3 that the VFO
A cursor was no longer aligned with the center frequency. Instead, it
overlapped about 10 percent of its total width or I am guessing approximately
the same width as the previous VFO B magenta cursor which now no longer appears
on the screen.

My guess, unless something else is happening, that when the software computes
the display position for the cursors that it might have messed up by the width
of Cursor B in the arithmetic and thus result in cursor A being offset. By
power-off and power-on cycle, Cursor A is now aligned with the right edge on
the center frequency as it is supposed to be.

Can anyone make sense of what I am describing. I admit I am making a wild
guess on the calculation of the position of the cursors as I have done that
kind of thing before myself.

There's a little bit of space in the K2 left, plus one unused connector (J5) on

I've pondered that question for a while...

what I would like is a linear supply, large heat sinks and super quiet

it would be great if it had something like a super powergate built in,
along with a temp sensor for the battery
and ability to charge/float up to 200amps of gell/or etc batteriesand
ability to have direct feeds for 4 batteries.

Transformer buzzing noise is also annoying,so perhaps a Toroidal or
laminated traditional transformer might be nice.

might seem a bit large/exoticbut running a 100w rig and some

the power returns you need a lot of amps to charge the batteries fast

Re: [Elecraft] K1 and buddistick

2010-08-15 Thread John Ragle
I have used both the Buddistick and the Buddipole. The B'pole was used
insidethe house at the ground level on 20 meter CW and PSK. It worked
about as you would expect a low trap dipole to work...I made contacts
with it until my "outside" situation improved. The high launching angle
was evident. I would think that a simple wire half-wave dipole would
work, hung e.g. from the diagonally opposite corners of a room. Another
wire antenna to consider would be an off-center fed dipole. Both these
wire dipoles are lots less expensive than the Buddi-duo.

Or you can do it with one macro if you use DXLab's Commander rig control
program. I have one that switches between front and back mic inputs with
different mic gain, compression, and TX EQ.

Bill,

Right now, the TX EQ settings will be the same for the FP and RP mic
inputs, so you will have to compromise. I believe separate setting are
"on the list", but they have not rippled to the top.

While separate TX EQ settings for the FP and RP inputs would be ideal,
you could do it in a series of macros from K3Utility.

[Elecraft] K3 TX settings

2010-08-15 Thread Bill Conkling
Hi,

I am proud owner of K3 #4516 and have a question.

I have two mics I like to use. One is the Yamaha CM-500 headset w/mic. It
is plugged into the back of the K3 (CONFIG/RPL Bias). I have worked to get
the audio sounding like I want it and have determined the gain and comp as
well as the setting for the TX equalizer.

I also have a Heil HM-10 Dual mic plugged into he front (FPH no bias) with a
Heil Kenwood connector. I haven't spent much time with this combo as yet.

I would like to know if it's possible to store the mic settings for these
two mics so that I don't have to reset all the parameters manually.

If it's possible, be specific as I'm very new to this rig and am learning as
I go.

Re: [Elecraft] KPA100 resistance checks

2010-08-15 Thread Don Wilhelm
I have been reminded that the original question was about resistance.
However, the same principle applies - if the measurement expected value
is to 2 significant digits, then round your measurement to 2 significant
digits.

73,
Don W3FPR

Mike,

Nornally voltage measurements that are less than 5% away from their
nominal values are just fine.
In your case however, the target value was stated as having 2
significant digits - so just round your reading to 2 significant digits
as well,
Your 3.076 volt measurement rounds nicely right to the target value of
3.1 volts.

/rant on
Alas, when are those with many digits of display on their meter going to
discover that just because the meter shows all those digits, many times
(most times) those lower order digits are not always significant.
If you are measuring something nominally at 10 volts and your reading is
anywhere between 9.5 and 10.5 it is close enough to 10 volts (except in
special cases. There is no sense fretting about it because the measured
voltage is 9.899 volts instead of 10 volts. Do we get the idea - just
round the value you measure up to the number of significant digits
expressed in the nominal value.

When do those extra digits become significant? Well, if you are
measuring something that is supposed to have 1% precision, then 3
significant digits are called for - and add to that the fact that for
most digital meters, the last digit displayed has a variability of +/-1
count, so in this case, 4 significant digits could be called for., but
when we measure things in a circuit which uses 10% tolerance capacitors
and 5% tolerance resistors, 2 significant digits are enough to
consider, occasionally 3.

The newest K3 Utility looks for a O3 and prompts you to switch the P3 off
before loading K3 firmware. P3 firmware support for pass thru firmware load of

Re: [Elecraft] Subject: P3 or KRX3

2010-08-15 Thread N8LP

The SDR-IQ is like a P3 without monitor, or vice-versa, actually, since
SDR-IQ came first. It is a flexible and useful SDR at a reasonable price.
But I respectfully disagree as far as the software goes. LP-PAN users can
use any software they want, and almost 100% use PowerSDR/IF or CW Skimmer...
not Spectravue.

IMO, Spectravue is a good program for displaying a panadapter, or for doing
technical measurements, but it is not a full featured receiver like
PowerSDR/IF, and AFAIK it does not provide a second receiver as PowerSDR/IF
does if your definition is a receiver that displays both passbands and
tracks both VFOs in the K3 and can route the two receivers to different
speakers as PowerSDR/IF does. PowerSDR/IF also provides all the DSP bells
and whistles like noise blankers, noise reduction, automatic notch,
infinitely variable filter widths from 10Hz to 20kHz, multiband EQ, etc.

While PowerSDR/IF can be intimidating to set up, and some people get
confused about the installation, it should install like any other program
and is no more difficult to configure than Spectravue would be with a sound
card input as opposed to SDR-IQ input. As with any complex program, though,
there are dozens of configuration settings on a PC which can affect one
program at the expense of another, like driver settings, BIOS settings, etc.
I think this is the trap that catches even the experienced operator at times
with PowerSDR/IF. FWIW, I have a couple users who bought LP-PAN because they
couldn't get SDR-IQ to work on their computer. When it comes to PCs, each
system poses different challenges. This is why IT departments usually
require all users to have the same configuration.

Luckily, users can download both Spectravue and PowerSDR/IF at no charge and
evaluate them for themselves except for hardware specific features.

[Elecraft] [K3] switched DC output jack- simple mod.

2010-08-15 Thread Bruce Beford
Re: Having the DC out accessory jack output current measured by the K3.

Well, I looked at the schematic and determined that this would (in theory)
be a simple mod. Page 5 of the schematics (page 3 of 4 Iof the K3 RF board)
shows the DC power control/measurement portion of the K3. The DC out jack is
fed via a 1N4007 diode, D34 after the power control FET, but before the
current is measured. The current drain of the K3 is determined by measuring
the voltage drop across a 0.05 ohm series resistor. It was a simple matter
to locate D34 on the bottom of the RF board (the rear bottom cover must be
removed). A trace to D34's anode was cut, and the anode then jumped to the
output of the resistor R36. It took all of 10 minutes, start to finish. The
ammeter on my K3 now includes any current draw from an accessory plugged
into the rear DC out jack. (My P3 is adding about 250 mA at a screen
brightness of 30).

I love it when a plan comes together.

Re: [Elecraft] travel with a K3

2010-08-15 Thread Scott Haller
I've made two trips to the Bahamas with my K3. I travel with with the radio
and switching power supply in my roll-aboard suit-case, using my clothes as
the padding. At worst the TSA agents have removed the radios and swabbed
them for explosives. About 50% of the time, they go through with just an
x-ray.

Some of the TSA guys are familiar with amateur radio, as they are using MARS
as for back-up communications; we've given several VE tests in the Albany
area for TSA staff as a pre-cursor to MARS licensing.

BTW, there is even less of a fuss from the customs folks in the Bahamas.
Almost all of them have heard of ham radio and may even be able to point out
the active operators on the islands.

The filter width is important but not his problem. He reported that he has
no LINE IN gain. (RF out zero)
Filter width for Pactor 1+2 is 500Hz, center on 1500 is default, but can
be adjusted in the Ptc-2 (tone setting 4 will set the tones to 1400 -
1600Hz)
For Pactor 3 the full SSB bandwidth is needed, so set the filter to 2400.
Center is 1500Hz by default. (again tones 4 - which is set by Airmail and
cannot be changed)

Re: [Elecraft] KPA100 resistance checks

2010-08-15 Thread Don Wilhelm

Any ideas on what we can do to remove the drifting? I've noticed on 2 units

[Elecraft] [K3] switched DC output jack

While running my P3 powered from the DC output on the K3, I noticed that the
additional current drain is not reflected in the on-screen display of the

drawn from this DC out jack. Anyone else look into doing this yet?

[Elecraft] K-3 Reference Calibration using WWV

2010-08-15 Thread kz5d

Jim,

Hadn't tried this before now, but have a P3 arriving next week so wanted to
have the calibration on the K-3 correct. Using Method 2 with WWV as the
frequency standard, there is a different zero beat with mode set as CW vs. mode
set as CW-R. I usually operate CW-R (carry over from the Yaesu days).

When I zero beat WWV with LSB or USB mode, the zero beat is identical. Seems
that should be where we're aligning the reference calibration. That point
happens to be exactly in the middle of the CW vs. CW-R zero points.

Specifically, in my case the CW-R zeros at 15.001.22, CW zeros at 15.000.28.
LSB and USB zeros at 15.000.72.

Important consideration for accuracy seems that we account for the pitch of the
side tone that rsesults in a slight frequency change. In my case it is 450 hz,

What do you think?

The KPA500 is a separate box from the K3, so it is easy to add it later
- just plug in the cables.
You can enjoy your K3 and become familiar with it at the 100 watt level

I would suggest getting the K3/P3 now.

John,

Since you seem to be certain of the cable --
Check the voltage at KIO2 or KPA100 AUX I/O pin 8 - it should be 12
volts. If it is not (and you have the KIO2), check to see if the
RFChoke L1 on the KIO2 board is open.

When plugged into a powered on K2, all connectors on the cable should
have 12 volts on pin 8.

[Elecraft] Buying a K3-100...Want a KPA-500!

2010-08-15 Thread N4WVE

Hello All!

I am purchasing a K3-100 with the P3 and am wondering if I should hold off
and wait for the KPA-500 amp to come out. Should I wait or go ahead and
take the plunge? I have done months of comparisons with the Flex and Yaesu
rigs and have decided on the K3.

Re: [Elecraft] NG0R - K2+K60XV+XV144/222/432 - Setup Issue

2010-08-15 Thread John Hoaglun
Hi Peter & the list,

That was my initial first guess too. I looked at the numbers in the
molded plastic (since it is accurate on both sides) and then tested them
with a DVM to make sure that they matched at all four ends (K2, 144,
222, 432) and they do. I need to go run a couple of errands this
afternoon. Just for grins I will stop at RShack and see if they have a
couple of DP9's on the shelf. If so I will likely make up a quick cable
that I can use for direct K2 to one transverter for bench testing. (I am
crossing my fingers that it is something simple like that.)

FYI... I just went back to the work bench, swapped the JP7 & JP8 jumpers
and then disabled the DIP that controls the resistor network for the TRN
address, power cycled them and all three transverters respond as
expected. Of course I would prefer to use them with the K2 for auto
switching so I will need to figure this out.

Please keep sending me your ideas. I will see if I can get the parts to
make a test cable this afternoon. (50 miles round trip for 2 DB9...
becomes an expensive part.)

Re: [Elecraft] K2: Advice about "Rework Eliminators" etc...

2010-08-15 Thread Robert G. Strickland
John...

As per another post, I don't know if they're still available, either.
That said, I used them and found them to be a "non issue" and most
helpful in the long run. I am forever tinkering around inside my K2, and
having the ReWorkEliminators in there makes a huge difference. Hope you
can find them, still.

Re: [Elecraft] NG0R - K2+K60XV+XV144/222/432 - Setup Issue

2010-08-15 Thread Peter Wollan
My K2 - XV50 setup did this -- the transverter didn't respond to the
K2 commands in any way, but powered up independently. In my case, it
was that I had soldered up the cable with one DB9 connector
mirror-imaged, so no surprise it didn't work.

DB9 pin numbers are printed in the plastic, inside the back of the
male and on the front of the female. The diagram in the manual is
only labeled with pin numbers in one place -- each color wire goes to
the same pin number on the next connector.

If it's something else, I can't help.

Re: [Elecraft] Slowed RS-232 with P3 installed

2010-08-15 Thread Jim Cox
Whatever was done to 00.31 seems to have affected the operation of Logger32
software and the P3.
I can use 00.28 with no problems or turn the P3 off with 00.31 and that
cures the problem.

The problem that I reported being unable to connect LP_Bridge to the K3

[Elecraft] NG0R - K2+K60XV+XV144/222/432 - Setup Issue

2010-08-15 Thread John Hoaglun
I am in need of a little bit of guidance for where to start looking.

I have a K2 that I have owned for a couple of years (10w, SSB, K60VX,
160m, tuner, rs232.) I have a XV222 that I have owned and used prior
to me building my K2. Last fall I bought XV144 and XV432 so that I could
reintegrate the VHF/UHF portion of my shack. Over the winter/spring I
assemble the 2 new transverters but never integrated them due to the
normal complexities of work/family + needing some cables. I finally am
getting back around to doing the integration & testing.

The XV144 and XV222 power up fine when setup for a non Elecraft IF rig.
(I have not tested the 432 yet but will likely finish the last couple of
remaining steps this afternoon to do that one as well.)

I have K2 setup with TRN1 = 144, TRN2 = 222, and TRN3 = 432 and the DIPs
in the associated transverters match. Those three transverters are
marked "on" in the menu on the K2.

I have built the custom serial cable snake and it tests out fine with
the DVM on pins 1,6,8,9.

When I change the jumpers on the transverters to the K2 specs and hookup
the serial cable and then select either the 144 or 222 transverter
nothing occurs. I am expecting that the front panel light of the
transverter should be activated when that band is selected via the band
up/down buttons on the K2 when appropriate.

What am I am missing? It is like the K2 is not selecting the
transverters via the serial cable.

When responding to the list can you also respond to me directly with a
CC as I am a digest user.

Thanks, JH

[Elecraft] P3 and Logger32 Logging Pgm

Anyone using the P3 and Logger32 general purpose logging software? I loaded
the beta 00.31 P3 firmware and notice the commands from the logger to the K3
are not always executed properly. Went back to 00.28 and all seems to be fine
again. Wonder if some timing issues were affected with the beta version?

Re: [Elecraft] P3 Cursor Position

2010-08-15 Thread Alan Bloom
There was an error in cursor position that affected certain digital
modes under certain conditions that has been fixed in beta version
00.29. But other than that the cursors should be accurately showing the
actual filter bandwidth of the K3.

The one exception to that is if you adjust the filter shift so that the
bandwidth straddles the suppressed carrier frequency. In that case you
don't actually hear anything (other than a little feed-through) on the
other side of zero beat.

[Elecraft] K-3 Ref Cal adjustment affected 400 hz 8 pole filter

2010-08-15 Thread kz5d

Performed the Reference Oscillator adjustment using Method 2. Discovered I was
about 20 hz below 10.000. Got the adjustment completed and then noticed that
when going from the 1khz bandwith to 400 hz filter the signal would drop down
considerably. Opened Config menu and verified Filter 3 (400hz 8 pole) was
turned On. Noticed that Filter FRQ was at zero. By adjusting the frequency to
+0.25 it then seemed to perform as it had prior to the Reference Oscillator
adjustment. Is this expected behavior?

Thanks in advance for the input.

Been using the P3 for a day now. I noticed that during a "long" PSK31

Nothing was displayed other than the the blue grid, labels, etc. I hit the

dream of joining HamRadio and seakayaking doing free nautical
camping. Power will be supplied by a 12V 7A Gell battery, loaded
during daytime by a solar panel and antenna will be a piece of wire
strung between the paddles and somewhat I'll find.
I'll confirm all qso's via the bureau and LOTW.
Copy all you.

[Elecraft] KX1 QRV on a sea Kayak

2010-08-15 Thread Sante - IK0HBN
Hi all,
I will be QRV starting from tomorrow with a KX1 within my spare time
from paddling a sea kayak along the Italian coasts in Calabria and
Puglia. I'll use my home callsign /I8 and /I7. That will realize my
dream of joining HamRadio and seakayaking doing free nautical
camping. Power will be supplied by a 12V 7A Gell battery, loaded
during daytime by a solar panel and antenna will be a piece of wire
strung between the paddles and somewhat I'll find.
I'll confirm all qso's via the bureau and LOTW.
Copy all you.
